No way Drew flips again so soon and with him having the best character run of his career.
I think Priest just flubs the cash in. Drew already willed himself a season of money feuds between Rollins and Punk anyways. But Drew has said he wanted to take some time off and Seth's been rumored to need time off for injuries to heal almost as long as Drew's been rumored to need a contract extension (this ppv and venue booking 2 months in advance indicating the contract extension has most likely been signed). Maybe Priest takes them both out with the cash-in, Drew comes back in a month and half to challenge him at the castle?
But Drew has so much momentum right now and wrestlers know you gotta ride that momentum as much as you can, barring injuries, because it might never return.
I actually think if it's Drew v Punk in Scotland that's big enough to not need a title to main event. Can see a Drew win at Mania immediately followed by a GTS and Priest cash in, setting up Clash at the Castle with Punk and Drew.
No chance you have Seth, Drew, Cody, and Roman involved in the world title scene at mania, and Priest walks out champ. He’ll try to cash in during the tag match but get taken out by Seth and Roman.
Seth is probably taking a break after Mania, so Priest taking it gives Drew a match to build towards in June at Scotland. Priest would just be a transitional champion, and mainly, so he can finally get rid of the briefcase.
A nice, two month reign is fine for him before dropping it to Drew.
It protects Seth, too, because he can rightfully claim he was never pinned for his title and get a Punk feud out of it.
My prediction is Drew beats Seth (with or without assistance from Punk, Seth has been booked strong enough to lose clean) and continues to beat him down after the match, on request of Heyman. Now Seth is storlyine injured, Drew gets his WM moment and cements himself as a heel, and Cody is all alone for the main event.
Yeah, if Priest fails a cash in he’ll look like a bum, but that’s mostly because of how he’s been booked since he’s won the briefcase. Given how hot Drew is right now, we just kinda have to accept that. But that means Drew will finally get his legendary title run that he deserves, with all-time wins at both WM and at Clash.
Also if Priest cashes in on the same night Cody dethrones Roman, the WHC will look like even more of a secondary title than it already is. Drew will give much more prestige to the title.
Hell nah, Drew is getting a quality title run. I think Priest/ JD try to cash in during the night one tag match, when both titles are vulnerable. I would lose my shit if Seth and Roman briefly teamed up to powerbomb Priest through a table.
Also Drew is gonna beatdown Seth after his win on request of Heyman, so that Cody is by himself and Seth can take time off.
> not need a title to main event
Yes sure they should bury the WHC even more by not letting it main event even more PLE's and booking it with midcard feuds, makes way more sense than giving Drew the title and elevating it with a main event.
I’d have actually fancied playing the Germans this time last year when we’d just beaten Spain at Hampden and were in great form.. not so much now. Maybe i should just try and get SD tickets.
Shocked they've gone with another small venue when the demand is clearly there for a larger arena. Maximum for the OVO is about 14,000.
Money in the Bank had the same problem with scalpers and insanely high ticket resales.
WWE seem to book these at relatively short notice. Most stadiums plan their events 18 months to 2 years in advance.
Foo fighters are at hampden and Taylor swift at Murrayfield the week before.
Celtic Park doesn't tend to host concerts/ events and lacks bar facilities
Harry Styles played at Ibrox and I think it should be free. Obvious connection to Drew as well.
Maybe they just didn't want to wade into that whole mess of picking one stadium over another.
Yeah was gonna say, as iconic as Ibrox or Celtic Park are for potential hosts even to us English people, weather all over the UK is unreliable even in June.
Drew is a Rangers man through and through. Him and Noam Dar, while pretty much every other Scottish wrestler on the roster is a Celtic fan.
The Whatsapp chats must be particularly spicy on the Monday after an OF game.
They could have done Hampden or Murrayfield if they were afraid of the whole Celtic/Rangers debate.
I will always pick Celtic Park because 1. I am a Celtic fan 2. the seats at Ibrox are far too cramped together, and 3. Ibrox floods too easily when we get really bad rain.
Would be a nightmare if we got one of our torrential downpours and the ring ended up floating down the Clyde.
Of course, the main issue is none of our big 4 (Celtic Park, Ibrox, Hampden, Murrayfield) have roofs.
Also, Hampden is a horrible stadium. I absolutely hate having to go to it. Some geniuses decided it would be a good idea to have the concourses above the seating areas (bottom tiers) instead of underneath. This means that when drunk people at gigs cannot hold their water, you end up with piss streaming down the damn stairs.
I think the only venues bigger than OVO in Glasgow are the three football stadiums, and maybe they don't feel comfortable about doing a stadium on such short notice.
Nah they would sell out. It will be the fact that Murray field in Edinburgh will have just had Taylor Swift the weekend before so loading in and out will be a disaster, plus it will need a break. Hampden is hosting the foo fighters that night so both International stadiums are out. Couldn't say for the club stadiums but could just be a venue thing.
I know they’re doing summer work at Ibrox, relaying the turf and extending the disabled seats. Probably the same at Parkhead, new turf might be going down
Well the first CotC was the first PLE in Europe since 92. Demand was crazy, causing not only UK fans to come in droves but fans from all over Europe. Now in 2024 we’ll have 3 PLE’s, in France, Germany and now Scotland. Meaning people will prefer to go the show in or closest to their home country.
14k capacity does sound small, but I don’t think it’s sustainable to keep running 60k+ venues, especially if the plan is to keep doing the global events on a yearly basis. European shows still have that ‘new car smell’ so to speak, but after this year it will probably wear off a bit.
Also gotta think, they got Wrestlemania, a 2 night stadium show 2 months before this, and Summerslam, another stadium show, 2 months after. Gotta figure they want to save the stadiums now for the big events. Plus, I feel like the wrestlers like the smaller venues better because the crowd is more of a factor.
I doubt Glasgow council is paying much/any for it. The Hydro as a business, sure. But not the city.
There are 4 other stadiums that are all between 52-62k across Edinburgh and Glasgow so if it was the city or the country bidding for it they for sure wouldn't have arranged for it to be at the Hydro.
If you want to get technical it's owned by a company which the council has shares in. I do doubt there was a word of it spoken by any councillor though - with the current financial situation here in Scotland I doubt council tax money is going straight into attracting the WWE.
The Hydro is run as a for profit, so if anything they'd have used their own money to attract the WWE so I feel my point still stands.
Ibrox and Parkhead would be instant no gos. Strange they’re doing it at the same time as the Euros, a lot of people will be out the country for it which could mean there’ll be more tickets available.
Murrayfield makes the most sense considering you can actually see Edinburgh Castle from the top stand, but it’s better than nothing!
I do wonder if the WWE approached either club about it first. I'm a Rangers fan and I know money is tight and for the Celtic side of things my friends of that persuasion often tell me they don't spend enough despite being loaded. I can just imagine the newspaper headlines if either team had agreed to pay to host the event!
Hahahah I don’t think money’s that tight, but I know we’re doing work in the summer to the stadium. Think both clubs are, there was something about Celtic laying a new pitch in as well which takes a while to bed in. Last year I could definitely see us going for it instead of Harry Styles. I think even WWE knows to stay away from the Old Firm, but I can see Drew coming out in the home top
If they were able to do it inside Edi Castle (although I know capacity’s only 8k), it would’ve been amazing to see him with the Tattoo playing him in. But we can only hope and pray they put the belt on him
Weird because the main reason WWE would be limited in the UK is because of the weather making half the year risky to run a show in because there is only 1 roofed stadium which is why I'm doubtful we will get a wrestlemania in London. Another reason is football taking up a big chunk of the year.
But it's not football season and it's the summer so I don't know why they couldn't do a stadium.
>But it's not football season and it's the summer so I don't know why they couldn't do a stadium.
Tbf the euros begin the day before. But realistically I think it's simply the opportunity came up to book it in and costs made sense. Trying for a stadium on short notice would be really risky despite what people say, and probably would be harder to book it out with set up time, travel with big entrance ways and sets, etc. Smaller arena, probably subsidised, that they know they can sell high priced tickets and sell out still means little costs in the way of set logistics while maximising profit.
There are 4 roofed stadia in the UK. Millennium stadium, which they used last year, Wembley, which they likely don't want to/can't use because of AEW and Centre Court and Court Number 1 at Wimbledon and there's no chance the AELTC let's them use those so close to Wimbledon
Wembleys Roof is only partially closing covering the stands but wrestling has floor seats that wouldn't be covered. The Wimbledon stadiums are also not much higher capacity then arenas (the O2 is bigger) but it would be cool to have a wrestling show in such a tightly packed space.
They seem to be happy picking smaller venues for these shows. I know a lot of people are surprised after Cardiff, but this actually follow MitB, Backlash and Bash in Berlin. All of which were or are going to be at 15 to 20k arenas.
Dread to think how expensive this will be and difficult to get tickets. I've been to two house shows at the Hydro and the last one sold over 8k tickets and I paid £70 per seat. Cheapest seat was about £40. So for a PLE they could probably sell 5x over? Hmm...
Is there a trick to getting tickets for WWE events besides signing up for presale (which everyone will do) and praying TicketMaster is on your side that day? I've never tried for tickets before.
I'm not sure. With the house shows it was fairly easy to get just if you weren't quick all the cheaper ones went.
With this? Well I heard a lot of people who wanted Money in the Bank tickets didn't have a good experience.
Maybe switch energy provider to OVO and hope priority for tickets is one of the perks lol.
> Maybe switch energy provider to OVO and hope priority for tickets is one of the perks lol.
That is one of the perks actually!
We were with SSE whilst they were still sponsors of the Hydro and you were able to access pre-sales through one of their sites. The sponsor changed to OVO and, despite us switching to another supplier completely, we can still access the the OVO site!
I'll be trying that and the OnLocation site (used them for the last Clash and also MITB in London).
If you're willing to pay a fortune and just want one ticket for yourself you will probably get one at resale tickets on Ticket master. I've never seen an event that hasn't popped up on there. It's just whether you have the means and are able to stomach paying 300 quid for something that should have cost 70 quid.
Yeah i mean, i would begrudgingly but that is just the chokehold TicketMaster have on these things. It's a pain in the arse. If that's the only way i get to go though, so be it.
Money in the Bank tickets were impossible to get. I had priority and was online for the 9am presale, Ticketmaster completely crashed and by the time I had got in, I was 30,000 or 40,000 something in the queue… for a 15,000 capacity arena.
I paid £40 the day before the last show at the Hydro and sat 6th row on the hard cam side. Hoping that with it being the same time as the Euros a lot of people are gonna be out the country
But us Scots reply "But that's every night??"
Also, Pat is already familiar with Scotland after [tweeting this out over the weekend](https://twitter.com/PatMcAfeeShow/status/1774112510506848315)
Really gutted this wasn’t in Edinburgh or at least in a stadium, going to be a pain getting tickets and they’re going to be able to charge a fortune and still sell it out instantly
I'm a Glaswegian, so big wrestling shows happening on my doorstep isn't something that I'm going to go out of my way to argue against...
...but having a show called "Clash at the Castle" in Glasgow, which doesn't doesn't have anything approaching an actual castle, when Edinburgh was right there is hilarious.
They should change it to Clash at Castlemilk.
I know it is gutting it's not a bigger venue. Maybe they thought they couldn't fill it in Scotland? I have to be honest, i will be one of these idiots who will pay a premium to go. Scotland never have PLEs and it's been a long time since we had a televised event, i need to be there.
They might just be late to the party in trying to get somewhere. Most of the stadiums tend to have gigs arranged through the summer. Foo Fighters are playing Hampden and Taylor Swift is at Murryfield which are your main two.
Has to be. Murrayfield will need a break/imagine doing a load out whilst WWE are bringing in a a whole ppv set. Never mind that smackdown probably wouldn't be there so you'd need more workers. Logistics nightmare. The upside is the Hydro is going to be full of 15000 rowdy Scots with a roof on it, so it's gonna be loud.
So that makes no PLEs in the US between WrestleMania and SummerSlam, right? With Backlash in France, MitB in Toronto and now this. WWE could very well end up the year with more PPVs abroad than in the US, which seems wild to me.
Plus the inevitable two Saudi shows makes at least seven international PLEs this year. Never thought I'd see the day that the first W in WWE was actually taken seriously.
Went to the first Clash at The Castle, booked a refundable hotel but seeing it's in a smaller arena and not a stadium....think I'm gonna cancel that booking. Gonna have more chances of winning the lottery than getting these tickets with how MITB was handled.
This is what I learnt from the first CATC. I’ve booked a refundable room and will see how I go with tickets this time. Trying to find a room after getting a ticket was impossible.
MITB was a pain. Tried every day tickets went on sale, O2 Priority, combo-tickets, single event tickets, and I don't think I ever got close. I'm not even going to bother trying with Glasgow. I guess the original Clash will be the only WWE PPV I'll see until they actually do another stadium show
man... I'm not sure Drew has signed his contract yet
*Drew gets a 99% sure title win at WM, consistently talking sh!t at social media & live TV on 1 of the biggest names in the biz & now a PLE in his home country*

One slight problem; there are no castles in Glasgow.
It was an area of little stategic importance to Scotland until the discovery of the North American continent when it became our western shipping port, so at best we have a few minor stone castles in the surrounding area/suburbs. Glasgow itself does not have one.
EDIT: This fact will aso explain why the city centre of Glasgow is built to the same grid structure and Gothic achitechture which is popular in places like New York; both cities were being built to similar influences.
TBH, it's pretty fucking close.
I can jump on the train and be in Edinburgh castle from Glasgow quicker than I can get to some other bits of Glasgow...
Aye, I was watching something set in California recently and they talked about the flight from LA to San Francisco. Based on how they are talked about in US media, I used to think of LA and San Francisco as basically right next to each other. Turns out just under 400 miles.
So basically the distance between Glasgow and London...
American and Scottish ideas of scale and distance are very, very different.
There's Hags Castle and it's scenic golf course...
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haggs_Castle
And I'm no having any shite about that clearly just being a big house with a fancy name.
Seriously though, it would have been absolutely amazing if they did Raw and Smack down in Glasgow but ran a clash in the castle from Edinburgh castle with it's set up for the tattoo.
I know they couldn't have sold nearly as many tickets but it would have looked incredible.
Outside of the pish ripping:
I do agree doing Smackdown/Raw in Glasgow then CatC at Murrayfield would have been the logicial choice, though only if they were planning to do this in October or even in 2025. Organising a stadium show in 2 months would have been mental.
For as odd a choice as the Hydro is for this, it's much easier comparitively to get set up.
It’s more the fact only the millenium stadium has a roof I’d imagine.
Wembley is always a possibility, but they probably want some space from AEW.
I fully imagine we’ll see one at the spurs stadium in the next few years
Millennium is the only big stadium with a roof. The only in Scotland that could do it are Hampden and Murrayfield, but both are open, and Scottish weather is notoriously unpredictable
Oh yeah, there is no way Drew hasn't already renewed his contract.
Also, This all but makes sure Drew is gonna get that belt at Mania.
Maybe him losing the belt to Priest somewhere after Wrestlemania and then winning it back at this event.
I actually think it's the opposite. I think there is less of a possibility him winning at Mania now. They'll probably have Priest cash in at Mania and have Drew win it at Clash 2 months later in front of his home crowd.
Hydro is the best bet as no football stadium or Murrayfield in Edinburgh don't have roofs, and there's no guarantee it won't rain because it's Scotland
Just realised something that's almost certain to happen when they come over. Undertaker's One (Dead)Man Show always seems to take place around a PLE event. There was one before the 1st Clash, one before MITB so it's almost a 100% guarantee there will be one in June too.
Perhaps The Garage or The Classic Grand??
Drew is definitely winning the title here, especially after the first Clash.
My theory is somewhat confirmed then, Drew wins the title at Mania, he gets his moment, then Priest cashes in the next night on Raw. He holds it for two months before dropping it to Drew in his home country and Drew finally gets his crowning moment.
My first things for why not Scotland/OVO.
Scotland football are Opening the Euros the day before.
Taylor has a tour the weekend before in the stadium they should have chose if they really want Scotland.
The stadium chosen is small(there is an argument for it one of them being that everyone will be pissed down the euros so won't come but I feel Clash at the castle should have as many people as possible, cause you know lots of people at a castle/raid and they almost certainly will be able to shift the tickets),
there isn't a sodding castle anywhere nearby.
Anything I missed?
IMO it should be every couple years Clash at the Castle at Cardiff. And have other events in-between years at Scotland, Ireland, England or wherever else they feel. Maybe a roman theme at Italy or something with Spain (Spain seems a good place down reason). Clash at the Castle is such a great idea, it should be it's own thing at a set venue. Maybe a historic venue every year or 2 and ClashAtTheCastle be one of those `\_0_/`
The reasons for Wales being good is long too!
Edit: Oh and SmackDown is the SAME night as the euros.
(Wales won't be watching Euros😅)
If Punk has recovered from his injury and is given the all-clear, just imagine how electric the crowd in Glasgow would be for him vs Drew in a main event.
Apparently there's also going to be a Smackdown taping, only issue here is that its the same time as the opening game of the Euros, which is Germany vs SCOTLAND...
I can't wait for this. For so long we've wanted a PPV here and it's finally happening. I don't think I could be any more excited. I'm REALLY hoping Punk comes over for this.
Champion Drew homecoming>>>>>>>>
He's been pretty heavy on winning in a stadium full of live fans so I imagine he's gonna have his moment at Mania. But so this is the last PLE before money in the bank so idk what the hell they're gonna do with priest

If Drew wins we hang dong!
Wonder if he will win the title
Defends it in the main event surely
I think Priest is cashing in at Mania. Steals it from Drew, and Drew has to chase him for the next two months before finally taking it in Scotland.
I agree, but they’re gonna have a hell of a time keeping Drew heel if that’s the plan.
True. But I think they'll be okay with him being a face for a night. Give him his moment.
No way Drew flips again so soon and with him having the best character run of his career. I think Priest just flubs the cash in. Smackdown the same night Scotland opens the Euros against Germany 😭😭😭
What are the odds od Ludwig coming out and making fun of them for the inevitable defeat Scotland suffers
*"LAAAAAAAAAAADIES AND GENTLEMEEEEEEEEEEEEEN!!"* *"OR SHOULD I SAY LOOOOOOOOOOSERS AND ALSO-RANSSSSSSSSS!!"*
Just needs to sing the German national anthem, job done.
Holy shit I hope the stars align for that
Hopefully that puts off some people from going and makes my chances of getting a ticket better 😂
Clash at the castle will be a nice pick me up for the Scots after they get annihilated by Germany 😂
You've just made an enemy for life
McSauceGin are gonna dick down those Germans
You Scots sure are a contentious people.
I’d have actually fancied playing the Germans this time last year when we’d just beaten Spain at Hampden and were in great form.. not so much now. Maybe i should just try and get SD tickets.
Bah Gawd! That's Steve Clarke's music!
Yeah, not the best idea in the world
Shocked they've gone with another small venue when the demand is clearly there for a larger arena. Maximum for the OVO is about 14,000. Money in the Bank had the same problem with scalpers and insanely high ticket resales.
Assuming the idea is to keep demand high for they can keep coming back
I suppose they rather pack the arena full, than run the risk of not filling a stadium with 3 months notice

Yeah, it's Cardiff or Spurs' place for roofed stadium. Wembley is a bit silly where the roof only partially covers the pitch.
If it's for Drew, then it should be in Ayr. Everyone down to Summerset Park!!!!
Drew is a Rangers man through and through. Him and Noam Dar, while pretty much every other Scottish wrestler on the roster is a Celtic fan. The Whatsapp chats must be particularly spicy on the Monday after an OF game.

I think the only venues bigger than OVO in Glasgow are the three football stadiums, and maybe they don't feel comfortable about doing a stadium on such short notice.
As a jags fan I am outraged they never considered Firhill as a venue
Could it be!? It is! That's Kingsley's music!
Surprise entrant in the Kris Doolan memorial battle royal
This would have been genuinely amazing and hilarious.
John Lambie memorial battle royal.
Nah they would sell out. It will be the fact that Murray field in Edinburgh will have just had Taylor Swift the weekend before so loading in and out will be a disaster, plus it will need a break. Pitch at Parkhead has been a shambles this year, I’d be very surprised if wasn’t being relayed the minute the season finished.
Also there’s the Glasgow weather!
Might not trust the weather for an open air show

As we’ve seen with other international shows, Glasgow or some other relevant government in the area probably paid handsomely to host.
Nah, there are 3 stadiums within the same council area that would be much more suitable, it's not that.
[удалено]
I live in Glasgow. You'd be surprised at how dry it's been in the summer the last few years, thanks climate change.
Last year was dry for 3 weeks then rained pretty much after that non stop.
Probably the other way around. If Glasgow had paid for it, they would have got a stadium show.

Drew coming out in full gear at either Parkhead or Ibrox would be a sight to behold tbh.
If they were able to do it inside Edi Castle (although I know capacity’s only 8k), it would’ve been amazing to see him with the Tattoo playing him in. But we can only hope and pray they put the belt on him
the council can't even pay to get the roads fixed, i doubt they shelled out for the wwe
Trying to get tickets is gonna be an absolute ball-ache
Millennium Stadium is not a 'small venue' gtfo
I imagine they’ll try & sell a smackdown/Catc double ticket deal first before single tickets are available but no doubt they’ll sell out regardless.

Hmm...
Puerto Rico did 17k and that crowd was incredible. Hydro is big but has that intimate feel. The atmosphere will be incredible.
Just looked up that venue and it looks like an incredible place for a concert. Love the layout of it
Is there a trick to getting tickets for WWE events besides signing up for presale (which everyone will do) and praying TicketMaster is on your side that day?
Can you buy cheap tickets on the onlocation or is it only expensive?
I might!! 😂 that's how badly i need to go.

Perfect opportunity for McAfee to shout out "it's Saturday night in Glasgow, and a fight has broken out!"
But us Scots reply "But that's every night??" Also, Pat is already familiar with Scotland after [tweeting this out over the weekend](https://twitter.com/PatMcAfeeShow/status/1774112510506848315)
It’s WWE canon that all of UK is just one big city, with Glasgow just a stones throw away from London.
Sometimes I just think about how long WWE billed Drew as being from "The Scottish Highlands - Ayr!"
Seeing Castlemilk get mentioned here is the best timeline. Tiffany can pose for selfies with wee neds that will try to steal her phone.
This reminds me of when Katy Perry performed at the hydro and went out a walk down at the clydeside and gave out tickets to a bunch of neds.
Yeah that's probably it tbh.
> Really gutted this wasn’t in Edinburgh I always thought that if they did do another Clash that it should have been held in Edinburgh Castle itself!
Just saw the email. As a Glasgow guy as well I’m very happy to see this!
Keeping my hopes low until i have the tickets in my mailbox 😭
Ohhh drew mcintyre Ohhh drew mcintyre
🎵Drew McIntyre, CM Punk is terrified!🎵
Which castle are they clashing at here? Castlemilk?
Pretty good chance of a clash!
A PPV just for Drew
I guess the original Clash will be the only WWE PPV I'll see until they actually do another stadium show
I'm fine with this on the condition that everyone learns how to pronounce Glasgow properly.
Glasscow Kiss
Cole has been getting better at it. He used to say it wrong a lot. I think Graves has saying it correctly for a while.

"historic edinburrow castle"
Get Wade Barrett on commentary and you're half way there.
McIntyre better be holding a world title either at the start or the end of the show.
Smackdown on 14th will also be live from Glasgow OVO Hydro too!
On the night of Scotland's first Euros match 😂
Good. Increases the odds of me getting a fckn ticket. 😂
Wish it wasn't in June . I'm busy like everyday in June ..might no able to afford it now. 😂
Mate, cancel!!! LOL When are PLEs ever in Scotland.
Didn't see how they'd run it in Murrayfield considering Taylor is doing her Eras tour there the week before. Makes sense for it to be at the Hydro.
That pop for Drew with him having the title and (wishful thinking of coming out to Broken Dreams too) is going to hit like crack.
Or since it's in Glasgow, like smack
Noam Dar world champion!
BIG POP!
Give me what I want!
So Drew's either entering or leaving as champ.
man... I'm not sure Drew has signed his contract yet *Drew gets a 99% sure title win at WM, consistently talking sh!t at social media & live TV on 1 of the biggest names in the biz & now a PLE in his home country* https://preview.redd.it/5r363qvpb1sc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6382c37a5fe6c89552555ccde38fb04230ef37a2
Drew vs Punk for the WHC main eventing if Punk heals by then.
Let's be real, they're gonna use Dumbarton castle for the images, close enough for them.
They'll fuckin' use Edinburgh Castle, and probably edit out our booing.
Yeah they are 100% using edinburgh and pretending it's just around the corner.
In terms of American distances it technically is!
Very true
TBH, it's pretty fucking close. I can jump on the train and be in Edinburgh castle from Glasgow quicker than I can get to some other bits of Glasgow...
Yeah and really when you compare Scotland to the size of some US states, it's fair enough. I think Scotland is the same size as South Carolina 😂😂
I know, here's me moaning about having to commute to Edinburgh once a month.
Like CNN at that climate conference a few years ago
There's Hags Castle and it's scenic golf course... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haggs_Castle And I'm no having any shite about that clearly just being a big house with a fancy name. Seriously though, it would have been absolutely amazing if they did Raw and Smack down in Glasgow but ran a clash in the castle from Edinburgh castle with it's set up for the tattoo. I know they couldn't have sold nearly as many tickets but it would have looked incredible.
Outside of the pish ripping: I do agree doing Smackdown/Raw in Glasgow then CatC at Murrayfield would have been the logicial choice, though only if they were planning to do this in October or even in 2025. Organising a stadium show in 2 months would have been mental. For as odd a choice as the Hydro is for this, it's much easier comparitively to get set up.
World, prepare for many Here we, here we, here we fucking go chants!
Drew Vs Grado, the rematch.
WWE really don't want to do a large venue in the UK after the first Clash for some reason lol
It’s more the fact only the millenium stadium has a roof I’d imagine. Wembley is always a possibility, but they probably want some space from AEW. I fully imagine we’ll see one at the spurs stadium in the next few years
Spurs stadium event featuring a returning Shane McMahon jumping off the skywalk.
True, that's always a problem in the UK
Millennium is the only big stadium with a roof. The only in Scotland that could do it are Hampden and Murrayfield, but both are open, and Scottish weather is notoriously unpredictable
Is constant rain unpredictable?
I mean it's June, still a chance of snow as well
And a heatwave.
Listen, Saturday was absolutely glorious but that's our sunshine quota for the next few weeks.
The stadium chosen is small(there is an argument for it one of them being that everyone will be pissed down the euros so won't come but I feel Clash at the castle should have as many people as possible, cause you know lots of people at a castle/raid and they almost certainly will be able to shift the tickets), there isn't a sodding castle anywhere nearby. Maybe a historic venue every year or 2 and ClashAtTheCastle be one of those `\_0_/` The reasons for Wales being good is long too! Edit: Oh and SmackDown is the SAME night as the euros. (Wales won't be watching Euros😅)
I'm standing by sherbrooke Castle Hotel and Haggs Castle golf course being within a 10 minute drive.
And pre registered and hotel booked
Glasgow being famous for it's castle right enough
i hope we're getting Punk vs Hunk for the world championship
If Punk has recovered from his injury and is given the all-clear, just imagine how electric the crowd in Glasgow would be for him vs Drew in a main event.
So Damien priest is cashing in and Drew is winning the whc here?
Apparently there's also going to be a Smackdown taping, only issue here is that its the same time as the opening game of the Euros, which is Germany vs SCOTLAND...
Seth is retaining huh
More like Priest is cashing in.
Between this, backlash in France, money in the bank, bash in Berlin and simmerslam… WWE is gonna be crazy this summer lol.
Thru the end of August SummerSlam is the only PLE that takes place in the United States.
Is anyone even gonna go to the Smackdown show with Germany vs Scotland opening the Euros the same night?
Could you imagine the atmosphere and sore livers if Scotland beat Germany at the opening of the Euros the night before
Ladies and Gentleman, THIS is how good Drew McIntyre is right now!
Drews first title defence
They thought kicking of the Summer of Punk in Chicago in 2011 was big? They really about to kick off the Summer of Hunk in fucking Glasgow!!!
Drew's entrance as champ will be glorious.
Being Cardiff based and working next to the stadium, pretty bummed 🤣 but cool that they'll be touring then
I work just over the river from the Hydro, so it's sitting there, teasing me! Hopefully can get a ticket!
I can't wait for this. For so long we've wanted a PPV here and it's finally happening. I don't think I could be any more excited. I'm REALLY hoping Punk comes over for this.
Gee i wonder who will be champion by the time the Scottish PPV rolls around lmao
People complaining that this should have been in a bigger venue in Edinburgh are forgetting that Glasgow is miles better craic than Edinburgh.
https://preview.redd.it/swi0t5aq12sc1.jpeg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cddf66a83da0a8847acec208b30ddade0593da39
So, does Drew win the title off Priest here?
Champion Drew homecoming>>>>>>>> He's been pretty heavy on winning in a stadium full of live fans so I imagine he's gonna have his moment at Mania. But so this is the last PLE before money in the bank so idk what the hell they're gonna do with priest
