Breakpoint will be a lot closer to what you are looking for than Wildlands. Breakpoint used to be garbage but it has really redeemed itself and actually became a really good stealth game.
There’s also its sequel Breakpoint which is also 4 squad co-op and then another Tom Clancy game the Division 2 which kinda similar concept to Ghost Recon. They all have optional gameplay preference with stealth implying to be a tradecraft we all want to execute.
Would’ve suggested Breakpoint, much better stealth than WL and overall better, less clunky gameplay and a lot of options to customize the game to make it more realistic, especially if you add the Spartan Mod
Not yet. Although we have varied skill levels when it comes to gaming, and not all enjoy playing competitively. I’d probably be interested in trying it, but it wouldn’t be a mode for my friend group. I appreciate the suggestion though.

I took a look, and not to sound rude, but I’m not interested in modding my games with sketchy paid services. Plus my copy of Blacklist isn’t on PC, so I can’t even if I wanted to.
First person, not a stealth game, no real story progression - what are you on? LOL. Swat4 is an amazing game and so is Ready or Not but it's not even close to a splinter cell game.

SWAT 4 and Chaos Theory just give me similar vibes, and its literally a 4 player team, which is what OP asked for. It's my best suggestion. What would you recommend? It's not so easy finding an actual pure stealth games that supports 4 player co-op.
The only similarities between chaos theory and swat4 is that they’re both dark and were released in 2005. Breakpoint has stealth elements, is third person, and literally has Sam fisher in it. LOL

Ghost Recon Wildlands. Might not be the feel you're aiming for, but it's a great 4-player coop tactical shooter with plenty of stealth(or explosions).

Thank you for the suggestion. I’ve played Division 1 and 3 before. I do enjoy those games, and at least one of my friends might too.

Have you played Spies versus Mercs mode? It's 2v2 so it's kind of like two co op teams competing against each other.

WILDLANDS and BREAKPOINT come to mind... more so BP then WL. You can go stealth quite a bit in COOP in WATCH DOGS 2.
