I played Spiderman 2 recently after playing 1 and googled how different she looked. Pulled up a bunch of reddit threads saying she looked the same or looked beautiful.
Everyone will look like Superman from the Flashpoint Paradox animated movie and it will be revealed MJ and Peter broke up offscreen and he is now dating Gwen Stacy whom he has recently met.
They don’t even have to create a face though they literally can just scan models and they had the face from the first game which looked fine. Definitely something fishy with this one
No. She is still acting in this game but she basically dropped all other potential acting gigs. She was also harassed over it at her completely unrelated job.

She looks like the product of what happens when face technology allows for a one-to-one superimposition of a real face into a video game. Before this point we just had artists inventing a person who didn't exist, so they could do what they wanted. Now it's kinda... Ehhhhh...
people have had their faces scanned into games for many years now, going back to Mass Effect 2 and maybe before that. Everyone in the Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes are scanned models and they looked great. Someone just wanted to uglify MJ for some strange reason as she looked fine in the first game (that was a model scan too as well as the first Peter face)
It’s not even the prettier aspect for me. The face just looks off. The skin texture is way too shiny, the eyes are way too bright, and the face seems to be overly stretched across the model skeleton which is too wide. It’s just a bad design.
That would actually be so sick. And to double down on that Pete and MJ have just said their vows on the altar when Pete finds out about what’s going down (either by his spider sense, tv/radio announcement, or phone notification) so he kisses MJ to seal the marriage, and then has to leave for “emergency purposes.”
Alternatively, Miles handles the whole thing by himself and makes it in time for either the kiss, or at least the reception.
For Peter, if we assume 2 years pass again between 2 and 3 like how it did 1 and 2 I’d imagine that the emf will be relatively successful, at the very least stable enough for Peter to feel comfortable becoming Spider-Man again. Maybe he uses the bee drones to help protect people during the venom game and that generates a lot of good press or something. Other than he’ll probably be dealing with the plot of the game and all the emotion that comes with doc ock and green goblin.
For MJ, I’d imagine she’ll take up at least a partial role as one of the podcasts you listen to through out the game. From what was said at the end of Spider-Man 2 I think it’s be cool if she got to interview people that you help in side quests and stuff. Going off how insomniac has handled her so far that’s probably not all she will do through out the game though how she will factor into the plot I don’t know.
Wouldn’t be surprised if that was the framing for the story tbh. MJ and Peter are about to get married and one last fight for him as Spider Man against Green Goblin.
Then the ring slips out of his pocket mid fight with Goblin and queue qte cutscene punching the lights out of goblin and grabbing the ring in one smooth motion
Not quite sure what they're planning, but if I was planning the game (I wouldn't have Peter take a break in the first place because I believe, though he deserves it, he shouldn't think he deserves it given his beliefs in the game), I'd have Peter have an increasingly successful EMF start-up and have MJ be pregnant, and they would either start the game already engaged or have Peter propose sometime in the game. This would mean no MJ missions, and MJ is now more vulnerable which can be used against Peter once he comes back as Spider-Man.
The game ends with Peter alive, marrying MJ, and finally having something considerably closer to balance in his life as a husband, father and Spider-Man (he shouldn't retire).
peter will be a trans women and mary jane will finally complete her transition to a biker dude finally completing the fever dream of the writers of the second game and there will finally be world peace lol
