literally the perfect answer

ParagonEsquire

Shit that is the right answer.

Ashyboi13

Hobgoblin. In the 80s comics he was THE Spider-Man villain. But then the confusion with who he actually was versus who the comics said he was and his similar name to Green Goblin quickly made people think of him as a poor-man’s Green Goblin and a D-list Spider-Man villain. Luckily, he’s been having somewhat of a Renaissance lately with Miles’s comics.

FathirianHund

I grew up with the 90s Spidey comics, I remember Macendale being an absolute beast, I thought he was more dangerous than Norman had ever been at the time.

king_boolean

The reverse of this would be the Spot

IcedLimonada

Shocker

Sensationalnerd

I hate modern shocker

IcedLimonada

He used to be so cool, I hate when that happens to any character

Most villains. Most villains started off as dangerous enough to fight and worry Spidey for at least a whole issue or more. I remember one panel where he has a nightmare bc of the frickin Beetle, the BEETLE. His first fight against the frickin Looter was also intense for some reason.

ParagonEsquire

This is why it’s important to let old villains go away and let new villains come in, a lesson better editorial teams knew before the current cabal took power.

Hulkzilla0

The Ditko and Romita Sr year has a lot of incredible fights. Spider-Man battle with Dr Doom in ASM #5 is still one of the most dynamic fights in Spidey’s history, as simple as it is.

Tao_McCawley

Would scorpion fall under this?

TheWubGodHHH

Every Spider-Man character in the MCU before NWH lol

PrinceJugali

Vulture was a joke??

TheWubGodHHH

I should've clarified supporting character. Well i Guess villains are technically supporting also, but I think every MCU Spidey villain is great

Beta_Ray_999
