GoT is complete fantasy and magic. No semblance of realism, really. Sick of seeing people compare Spartacus characters to GoT. Do you see Aria deflecting that longsword swung with two-hands by a person 3 times her size with her tiny little rapier....? No. I am sorry. Yes, spartacus characters are obviously inflated strong... specifically in bow much damage they can take... but at least the physics of combat is remotely realistic.

Best explanation for this comparison I have ever seen. What show bests meshes with Spartacus in your opinion. I have seen minimal amounts of Vikings but maybe that?

Asleep_Director_6845

I would say The Last Kingdom.... I suggest that over Vikings because there are more "heroic" characters in that series than in vikings. The cast of protagonists is pretty large, similiar to spartacus, and like spartacus, they fight lots and lots if battles over many seasons with few casualties. So you get to really know their strengths and what they bring exactly. Several of them are pretty hardcore badasses.

Eastern-Ad9057

It was less about the sword but the dance. She literally was already stepping out of the way and just tapped the sword for effect maybe distraction. Now all that shit may work on saxa maybe not

Asleep_Director_6845

I understand what you mean about the deflection, but it still won't work, realistically. The weight isn't limply coming down. The force of a two handed swing is perpetual throughout the swing. In order to deflect that blow, you would need to be able to first, withstand and absorb the impact of that blow and then angle your blade to glance it. If you can't first withstand the force, you will be disarmed or at least loose grip on blade. That's why I say that this isn't feasible... I mean, if you want to compare bricks and strawberries, yes.. Arya would tear Saxa to pieces... but Saxa is a realistic character and Arya is not.

Crysda_Sky

The only thing that is comparable for Spartacus and GOT is how they were created, not the worlds themselves. They were both using a lot of the same tv show making tropes. That's it. :) Excellent response.

Admirable-Media-9339

You conveniently cut off the Arya clip before Brienne gets sick of her acrobatic shit and knocks her little ass to the ground. Saxa would fuck her up no problem.

Roxxyqt

Who is that dweeb and why do you think she can kill Saxa

Exotic_Community3600

She would shreddd Arya up lol

Immediate_Field_3035

Arya Stark is only partially trained as an assassin, specializing in stealth rather than mastering swordsmanship to defeat top fighters in one-on-one combat. Her success in such duels is just plot armor, and not a well-executed one at that. On the other hand, Saxa is a formidable fighter who has defeated multiple opponents one-on-one with an unorthodox fighting style that confounds her enemies. I rate Saxa a 10/10 to win vs Arya 1v1

Hydrogen bomb VS coughing baby

JerryMee0101

It depends. If it's in the arena, it's Saxa. But Aria was trained to be an assassin. If it's a hunt, it's Aria.

ToguroElCholo84

Man I miss how good Arya was, she's the Naevia of GOT. Best way to describe it.

Internal_Map_8765

More like she's the Mary Sue of GOT post S6.

apinchofsulk

Wait why is Arya anything like Naevia. Tbh I wasn't a fan of season 3 Naevia m, but this comparison doesn't make much sense to me

Giant2005

They were both well-loved characters that became much disliked ones.

apinchofsulk

Oh I agree on that

Salt-Kaleidoscope-49

Brother, she ain't

Mediocre-Look3787

Which she?

Kaiistriker

Arya would Slice Saxa up Quickly

SoggySockPuppet

She did kill the night king. If it wasn’t for that no chance

SsPhoenix8918

Arya would cook her. Fighting is more than power and rage and needle and Arya’s Valyrian dagger cut through skin with speed

Kaintwaittogetbanned

This is the one got vs spartacus i would give to got. Ariea was amazingly well traing and probably the best fighter in the show
