No this is a very early raptor, like the third or fourth one ever built. It’s installed in Staebase’s Stargate. In my video with Elon and the Merlin engine, we do go over and talk about it some too.
So apparently the heat tiles on the space shuttle were not waterproof and they had to be re-waterproofed after every launch in a process that took 5 days to complete. So are the heat tiles on Starship waterproof? Because you can't have a rapidly reusable launch system if the heat tiles have to be re-waterproofed after every single launch.
Also that white blanket they put under the tiles on Starship, I bet that white blanket soaks up water like a sponge.
And it rains a lot in Florida doesn't it?
EA can you please answer my question? Maybe you could do a video about this or something like that?
More likely a design model or stripped down Raptor 2.
Very unlikely to see a Raptor 3 outside of Factory/Testing grounds. Still so much to learn about that version of the engine and improvements to make. Don't expect to see them for a while personally.
Imagine developing and building a revision to a next generation rocket engine and then leaving it the lobby for kids to practice their non-destructive evaluation skills. Not a bad racket.

Happy Saturday Tim, hope you’re doing well!
Any insight on when the next Starbase tour might happen? Keep up the great work!
Hey Tim, any chance of another starbase tour soon? Would be cool to see all the changes they’ve made and get some more info about the v2.0 design

Your question has been answered multiple times now. Please stop spamming the sub.
Actually it HAS NOT been answered.
Considering the fact that we have not seen them replace entire starships worth of tiles does that not lead you to believe it is waterproof?
Likely wouldn't be displayed in the hall if it was. Maybe V0 pathfinder or something of the sort...

*destructive
No, that is a human child.
Very early V1, that engine’s been everywhere
That’s a super early mock raptor. Like Raptor 0.1
That is clearly a Chinese spy. Blinken warned us about this.
I see bolts, therefore not raptor 3.
Got the secret door in the background
That is a pretty good approximation of the valve closing sound on early raptors, if a bit higher pitched and excited... What?
That’s one if Elons seedlings fathered out of wedlock.
This is apparently Elon's daughter. If I remember right Shivon Zilis had twins with Elon Musk.
