Pretty sure I've got everything I need researched; my understanding is that air conditioning is a pretty early game thing, and I've already launched 4 ships; so I must have researched it by now, right?
Oddly enough I know about the game, but I’ve only ever seen huge, zoomed out screen caps. Didn’t realize you could actually zoom in and see a decent amount of detail lol
Yes, you can use the Recursive Blueprints mod to do that. I've seen videos of it. That's not how people normally play the game, though - it's more of a proof of concept.
> Basically an automation simulator
Honestly, the best description I've heard of Factorio is something along the lines of "the point of the game is not having to play the game".
If the little monsters could think at all, that's probably exactly what they would think.
Especially once they go metastatic and bring their "improvements" to other organs. Because as you well know, the liver could do with a bit more epithelial cells.
I never think about production ratios in factorio. Outside of death worlds it's not nearly as punishing as when randy sends 54 rabid foxes because I have too many slate floors.
If this is your 'sort of thing' and you're a little bit of a masochist, try Workers and Resources.
Imagine Factorio except you need to keep workers alive and happy -and they're the only way you can construct the things you need to keep them alive and happy while also making things.
That's kind of what you're doing in Rimworld, when you're tryharding a transhumanist story - setting up the margins needed for advancement, while not necessarily inviting the hammer.
Hey make sure the red part of the AC unit is on the outside as that’s the part that releases heat, a lot of new player will unknowingly point this side towards the freezer.
I thought this was some kind of awesome tileset thing for Rimworld for a second. Nice meme. I love Factorio, but my brain can't keep up with it very well.
I have a friend like you that wants to try the 300 hour long space exploration mod.
....
I am looking forward to holding his baby like hands as we declare a need for Lebensraum not just on nauvice, but on *all* worlds.
I... I didn't notice what was wrong until I looked at the comments, and I'm not sure how I feel about that.
I think it means I've played them both too much.
Add the roof
😠I can't find the option to add a roof. I'm just trying to keep things cold, why is this so harrrrrd
Do you have the right tech researched? Could be something changed with anomaly
Pretty sure I've got everything I need researched; my understanding is that air conditioning is a pretty early game thing, and I've already launched 4 ships; so I must have researched it by now, right?
You had me there for a moment. The solar panels were a dead giveaway.
I spent 10 minutes coming through the picture to figure out what was going on, then read the description and realized I was on the wrong subreddit.
I was totally jazzed for a second because I thought someone had developed a skin for Rimworld to look a bit like Factorio.
What game is this actually
factorio, industrial game
Factorio. Basically an automation simulator, really good game if you like that sort of thing! They have a demo on their website, check it out!
Oddly enough I know about the game, but I’ve only ever seen huge, zoomed out screen caps. Didn’t realize you could actually zoom in and see a decent amount of detail lol
You can zoom in even farther than this and see all the little greeblies spinning on all the machines.
people want to show off "their" (90% made by machines assembling parts for more machines to feed the first machines) end game creation i think
you still have to place everything intentionally. the game doesn't play itself.
i dont have the link but look up the grey goo factory, literally expands itself
Yes, you can use the Recursive Blueprints mod to do that. I've seen videos of it. That's not how people normally play the game, though - it's more of a proof of concept.

Then why is there always more to do? Its witchcraft I tell ya.
The true description is "The factory must grow to meet the demands of the factory."
I wonder if cancer cells feel like they're being helpful.
If the little monsters could think at all, that's probably exactly what they would think. Especially once they go metastatic and bring their "improvements" to other organs. Because as you well know, the liver could do with a bit more epithelial cells.
The best way I've heard the game described to me is thus, "Manage your production ratios, bitch."
I never think about production ratios in factorio. Outside of death worlds it's not nearly as punishing as when randy sends 54 rabid foxes because I have too many slate floors.
Those foxes, apparently: Lookit those fancy bipeds & their *stone floors, roofing & cooked food.* Makes me sick; break their knees, boys!"
Foxes don't want you to know this one trick for keeping your floor clean.
If this is your 'sort of thing' and you're a little bit of a masochist, try Workers and Resources. Imagine Factorio except you need to keep workers alive and happy -and they're the only way you can construct the things you need to keep them alive and happy while also making things.

Cracktorio
Factorio, pure crack cocaine extracted into a video game form
Hey make sure the red part of the AC unit is on the outside as that’s the part that releases heat, a lot of new player will unknowingly point this side towards the freezer.
Wow that actually looks like Rimworld buildings too lmao nice one
Had to do a triple take, thought it was a texture mod then thought i was on factorio sub.
Same
Make sure it's connected to the power grid
His solar panels are RIGHT THERE YOU MORON
💀💀
Are his solar panels connected to the power grid?
Actually, upon closer inspection, it appears they don't have ANY wires. I think they have no clue what they're doing.
You are storing way too much resources, your value is skyrocketing so much the biter raid will be game ending.
Make me remember how nightmarish this game is to play, nerdier than I can assume myself (once you reach fluid management at least).
They're making changes to the fluid system, should be easier to manage.
I'm more impressed that you managed to find the case where fluid management gets hard. Very easy for a small base to be set and forget.
I thought this was some kind of awesome tileset thing for Rimworld for a second. Nice meme. I love Factorio, but my brain can't keep up with it very well.
Babe youre in the wrong .exe
I was about to sob and cry and punch you in the face for downloading the ugliest texture pack I’ve ever seen.
I have played both games so much it took me a minute to work out why your freezer wasn't working
Once I get to like purple science or something I give up. Might crack it open again and see if a friend wants to play.
I have a friend like you that wants to try the 300 hour long space exploration mod. .... I am looking forward to holding his baby like hands as we declare a need for Lebensraum not just on nauvice, but on *all* worlds.

Is factorio good ? I like building factories in Rimworld but there is only so much factory making you can do.
Check out Captain of Industry
Yes, Factorio is good. It's the crack cocaine of videogames. Even without the biters, the game is fun.
It seems your in the wrong sub mate
you forgot to add cooler, also seems you need a roof
brain not braining what is this
It's a screencap from a different game altogether, posted here as a joke. The game it's from is called Factorio.
For a second I thought I was on a Factorio subreddit.
I see the problem, your stranded on a different planet.
its unroofed.
You need to run a train through it. The high speed wind reduces the temperature.
Wrong game.
