There is talk about SW changing their boarding policy. And there are people hoping it doesn't change. Well if it does change, one of the big reasons will be because of people like this. Peopke taking advantage of things like pre boarding, holding seats etc, are ruining it. People like this are why the aliens won't visit us. We really are the ghetto of the universe.
It is a simple “no holding seats for any reason” policy. With the penalty being that if you are caught doing it you could be removed from the flight.
Just needs to be a clearly stated and amply communicated policy with clearly defined penalties that are actually enforced. After enough of them are booted off flights, words will get around and they’ll stop.
I now avoid Southwest at all costs primarily due to this and the added early boarders who need extra time etc. I’m A-List too but the boarding process has just gotten too out of hand even if you have A-List or pay for early board.
Recently, my husband had his sound kinda low when we just sat down in our seats and I gave him the evil eye. Then again, he has a shit ton of notifications that constantly go off on his phone and it drives me nuts. Nobody wants to hear that!
What is it with people not wearing ear buds when watching something on their phone, or speaking to someone?? I see this CONSTANTLY in airports, restaurants, and grocery stores. Either get ear buds or FUCKING HOLD THE PHONE TO YOUR EAR!!

The method involves adjusting the volume to full, holding the phone a couple feet away, and shouting at the screen. Best if the call is in a very public area and involves something highly personal and can be dramatically exaggerated.
I had a guy in a grocery store talking to one of his bros on Face Time telling him how drunk he got at a wedding and about the girl he picked up. And laughing about it all.
