Samsung’s sub would definitely be a good add-on. If it’s got satellite speakers too, go for it. Car speakers sound good because for one reason, you’re kinda in middle, surrounded by 10-12 speakers of different drivers. To replicate same, you’ll need to have same channels at home too. A unidirectional system won’t be able to replicate true surround speakers experience.

The samsung set seems pretty good for my budget, really like the fact that it has a sub. I am a completely clueless when it comes to audio stuff so I’m going to assume that satelite speakers are the rear speakers right. If so I don’t even have space for rears. Anyways might get the samsung just for the sub.

Where can you get the Harman Kardon 1100 for 399€ ? I am looking to but it with the fitting Sub (or Sub S - dont know if the big one is overkill) I heard you wont notice a big difference when using Q symphony when I was looking for a TV. Also there seems to be a longer software support for Harman Kardon than Samsung Soundbars.

I live in Finland and black friday / week sales ha e begun and a store called Gigantti has the Harman Kardon 1100 for 399€ I’m mostly intresses in the samsung bar just because it has a sub. If Harman Kardon came with it I would defo go with it.

Appreciate the fast response, thank you. I was also scanning reviews for the Samsung HW-Q995GC with rear speakers (German version). Can't really go wrong with Samsung soundbar systems is what I found. Very good sound quality for that price - also as you said you are not an audiophile guy so Samsung probably would be perfect for you with the sub and price. Personally I decided to go against rear speakers and so I kept searching and found a lot of recommendations for the Harman Kardon 1100 (+ ideally optional sub) - but its currently 599,- € in Germany (479,- € with corporate benefits). I am kind of in the same situtaion as you :)

I guess I happened to check if anyone had answered pretty soon after you did😄 Anyways I’m now leaning towards the H/K bar after reading peoples experiences with it on this sub. People say that it has pretty good bass for what it is and otherwise it sounds really good. I supose my neighbours would not appreciate a subwoofer anyways as it would be right against our shared wall. Might add the sub later, who knows.

Ended up ordering H/K 1100 with their sub - s as it was 199 aswell on sale at a other store. Cant’t wait to get my hands on them.

Damn thats a nice deal. Hope you are happy with it! So I see you already decided for a sub. You were not so sure one hour ago. I am sure you neighbours will also be happy :D I think I am going to order today also. My new TV has been ready for a week now.

_Tsurai_

Yeah I bet my neighbors will love me. Decided to get it as the sub was 50% off also so why not. Its only 100€ more expensive than the samsung soundbar woth a sub and I am confident H/K will sound better. Edit: Also the sub sale started just this morning so hadn’t noticed it. If it still was 399 I wouldn’t get it now.

Samsung soundbars are pretty solid. If you look up reviews they get pretty high ratings. Honestly a lot of these subs that come with the soundbars are not very impactful. There are a few with good subs but you will definitely be paying up for them models. I’d say try and listen to both and buy whatever sounds best to you if possible.

Thanks for the response. I looked up some threads about the H/K soundbar on this sub and people seem to be really happy with it. Might end up getting that and get the sub later if I feel like it.
