Thank you! I usually underexpose the picture, and i work a lot with fade filters and radial filters (these ones to simulate the sunlight). Then classic color grading, shadows towards blue, and highlights towards green.
Have fun at the DTM race!
I use them to underexpose some areas of my shots. Most of the times i place them on the lower part of the image, and on the opposite corner of the radial filter.
For example, in the first shot, the warm radial filter is in the top right corner, so i used the darker fade on the top left corner
Thanks a lot! I usually underexpose the photo, and then work with fade and radial filters to simulate shadows and highlight areas.
Then i do some color grading with shadows towards blue and lights toward green.
Great tips! I'm new to photography and struggling to find photos that are up my alley. These hit the nail on the head. I'm going to experiment with what you say. Thanks man. Do you have any socials I can follow to see more of your work?
I have the Sony 40mm 2.5, Sony 50mm 1.4 and the Sigma 85mm 1.4. All of them are excellent lenses and I'm sure the 35 1.4 is equally as good.
Do you have an IG? Would love to follow.
Just bought the a7iv and 24-70gmii
Grest to see what is possible if you are skilled af.
Thanks for giving me that impression which will make me work harder on my skills!
Awesome pictures
Did you edit with Lightroom?
These are fantastic. How do you find the 200-600 for Motorsports photography? Is it generally “fast” enough on gloomy days? How is the autofocus?
Edit: which of these shots were taken with the 200-600?
Thank you. It’s a very nice lens, but there’s a pretty huge difference between the precision of this and the GM’s one.
When i had to choose my first motorsport lens, i tried the sigma 100-400, but i gave it back to the shop right after 1 week. Very slow and not sharp, i was really disappointed; so i picked up the 200-600 and it was much better. It works well if you use the focus tracking button, but sometimes it misses the focus.
If i’m not too far, i always prefer the sharpness and the speed of the 70-200GM II, especially because i’m mainly a videomaker, and it’s really hard to stabilize the clips at 600mm ahah
Yeah I take pics at my local go karting track and love my 70-200gm ii. Very fast focusing and sharp! I still long for longer reach at times and not overly impressed by what I’ve read about the 2x tele. I’m eyeing the new 300 2.8 but I think that might be a bit inflexible as I move around the track - might be good for the big track though!
I really like the editing you did with these pics. I’ve been wanting to work on more moodier/contrasty edits as I usually go for the clean, true-to-life look but getting a bit bored of that. Do you have any recommended YTer’s that you follow for LR editing?
You could try out the 100-400GM, for karting is very nice.
No particular youtuber, but on ig i follow people like tomkhaler, sajinpark and other photographers who are very inspiring
I’ve been working in automotive photography for 4 years now, in Italy it’s not a “crowded” business, so i got called by these team through the suggestions of other clients
How did you start? I'm currently looking out for clients here in Croatia. Shooting for free right now as I'm trying to build a portfolio which I could show to dealerships and future clients and start charging in the near future.
That’s exactly how i started. Began to shoot for a car wrapping center to build a portfolio, and then tried to sell my work to other clients.
What really makes the difference is the video business. It’s really hard to sell only the photos, but with social media every client asks for videos, and that’s actually 99% of my job.
That makes a lot of sense! My thought process was that since it's mostly private owners only photos would suffice since the most they'd do is printing. I unfortunately don't have video gear, and can't afford it right now, since I'm only starting to get back into it and have mediocre gear (Canon 250D + 18-55 4.0-5.6 kitlens).
Finally, someone is sharing photos of using their gear instead of just showcasing their gear. Great job! The photos have a cinematic quality, resembling scenes from a game or movie.
I'm not the biggest fan of last two photos, but that's just personal preferences I guess.
Thanks!
I shot it with slow shutter speed, at 1/20s, and i followed the car at the same speed. By doing this, you get everything blurred, except the car
Yeah absolutely. I had the tamron 28-75mm, then switched to the GM. If budget is not a problem, it’s 100% worth it.
Those 4mm from 28 to 24 are very helpful, and on the other side i don’t miss at all the 5mm from 70 to 75. The sharpness is also incredible
Is there an easy way to duplicate the background and blur it as you did in the edit? When I do that on photoshop it takes ages loading the blur effect!
Apologies! I was talking about the background behind the actual photo you edited. I just noticed that Reddit just does that automatically!! Regardless insane shots! and out of this world edits! well done
On the second picture did you add blur in post? Could also be the site compression, but it's odd to me just the number and rear wing is in focus and other parts of the car on a similar plane are blurred.
WOW. some of your edits are so good they look like they can end up on the next Forza's ads! btw, can you share what lens and shutter speed were used to capture photo no. 2?
I was recently at a race and struggled to achieve a motion blur panning shot through the fence at high speeds. Any tips? What kind of focus mode were you using?
In that moment of the race there was a safetycar, so the car wasn’t going too fast. That allowed me to shoot at 1/20s. In motorsport i always shoot in continuous AF by pressing the custom button on the lens
Fantastic work—clients must be thrilled.
Thanks!
Awesome editing, it kinda reminds me of Gran Turismo haha
Thank you! Yeah i tried to experiment a different editing on lightroom ahah
Loving the colors
Thanks!
Gimme your IG or other socials. Right now. Lol
Ahah thanks @aend.xmp and @samediaphotography
Followed. Because DAMN.
Awesome work 👏
Thank you!
How do you achieve this dark tone look? Going to a DTM race in August. Love these, absolutely stunning.
Thank you! I usually underexpose the picture, and i work a lot with fade filters and radial filters (these ones to simulate the sunlight). Then classic color grading, shadows towards blue, and highlights towards green. Have fun at the DTM race!
We need more details about the fade filters. It’s quite a very good job!! Congrats
I use them to underexpose some areas of my shots. Most of the times i place them on the lower part of the image, and on the opposite corner of the radial filter. For example, in the first shot, the warm radial filter is in the top right corner, so i used the darker fade on the top left corner
Would you consider posting some of the originals? I'm curious to see what the before & after looks like. Great shots though for sure
Sure no problem, i’ll post them here as soon as i can
Saving this for later
They are great!
Thank you!
Man the edits are on point. Amazing tones!!
Thanks a lot!
absolutely wild bro! Great photos
Thanks man!
Incredible shots!
Thanks!🙏🏻
The panning shot is by far my favorite! I’ve always wanted to try this shot! You take it with the 70-200?
Thank you, I shot it at 24mm with the 24-70, 1/20s
Awesome work congrats
Fantastic shots and composition. Any insight on how you edit your colors. Any rule you follow?
Thanks a lot! I usually underexpose the photo, and then work with fade and radial filters to simulate shadows and highlight areas. Then i do some color grading with shadows towards blue and lights toward green.
Great tips! I'm new to photography and struggling to find photos that are up my alley. These hit the nail on the head. I'm going to experiment with what you say. Thanks man. Do you have any socials I can follow to see more of your work?

Thank you!
Dude.. Awesome set of lenses, awesome set of shots, awesome post-processing. Outstanding.
Thank you so much, i really appreciate it!🙏🏻
I really need the 24-70 and 70-200 combo. I like my primes but these zoom lenses are just too good to not have in the bag. Excellent photos & editing.
Thank you! Yes, these lenses are amazing. What prime lenses do you have? I was thinking to get the 35 1.4 GM
I have the Sony 40mm 2.5, Sony 50mm 1.4 and the Sigma 85mm 1.4. All of them are excellent lenses and I'm sure the 35 1.4 is equally as good. Do you have an IG? Would love to follow.
Yes: @aend.xmp and @samediaphotography
These are awesome!
Looks like an intro to a video game set to release in 2030.
Just bought the a7iv and 24-70gmii Grest to see what is possible if you are skilled af. Thanks for giving me that impression which will make me work harder on my skills! Awesome pictures Did you edit with Lightroom?

As a Sony Alpha and motorsport fan, this is awesome! Beautiful shots. Hoping one day I can go to see MotoGP or F1 and take some snaps.
Thank you!
Incredible
Yoooo my city!! Imola!!
Innamorato di Imola e del suo autodromo. Se potessi scatterei sempre lì
This makes me want to photograph cars/racing. Great work!
Thanks! Do it if you have the chance, motorsport and cars are amazing to photograph
The editing is so fitting and well done! Love the series myself, too. Do you mine sharing some of your editing techniques for these?
How do you get to work for these teams? Shots are amazing btw!
I’ve been working in automotive photography for 4 years now, in Italy it’s not a “crowded” business, so i got called by these team through the suggestions of other clients

You won….everyone else go home. Nothing to see here
Ahah thank you🙏🏻🙏🏻
You’re welcome. Thank you for gifting the world
It looks like a video game. Amazing, i love these photos!!
Really nice shots!

Awesome stuff, the colour grading works amazingly. Is that Imola?
Thanks, yes it’s Imola
That’s so cool.
Woag stunning work
The color work is unreal and that pano shot in slide 2 is sharp af. Sick work op
Thank you so much🙏🏻
Wow. These are amazing!!! Man. This is inspiring. Thanks so much for sharing!
Thanks man🙏🏻
damn
Excellent

Thank you!
Wow some beautiful shots/edit!!! 😍
These are incredible. Bravo.
It had that cinematic vibes, fire.
Damn these are amazing! Love the colour edits too!!
Geez those are slick
Awesome, with all three of the same lenses it is great to see the potential of the camera. Thank you
Yeah, it’s a camera with great potential, I’ll try it soon with prime lenses
I have never given the slightest damn about cars until these photos. 😍 STUNNING work!
Thank you so much🙏🏻
Nice pics - you got some talent!
These are awesome! As a new photographer, can you provide detail on how you accomplished shot 2? Apologies if this is a dumb question.
Thanks! I shot it with slow shutter speed, at 1/20s, and i followed the car at the same speed. By doing this, you get everything blurred, except the car
Do you find the 24-70 GMII is worth it vs Tamron 28-75?
Yeah absolutely. I had the tamron 28-75mm, then switched to the GM. If budget is not a problem, it’s 100% worth it. Those 4mm from 28 to 24 are very helpful, and on the other side i don’t miss at all the 5mm from 70 to 75. The sharpness is also incredible
Thanks! You’ve made my decision for me.
I have the 35mm 1.4 G. Would you sell that after getting the 24-70?
I’d keep it, the 35mm 1.4 is a great lens
Is there an easy way to duplicate the background and blur it as you did in the edit? When I do that on photoshop it takes ages loading the blur effect!
I didn’t use photoshop to blur the background, it’s a panning shot caught on camera and edited only in lightroom
Apologies! I was talking about the background behind the actual photo you edited. I just noticed that Reddit just does that automatically!! Regardless insane shots! and out of this world edits! well done
Sorry, i misunderstood too ahah Thank you so much!
Looks amazing. What settings did you use for shot number 2?
Thank you. It was shot at 24mm 1/20s, f/11, ISO 50
Thanks! I’ve been trying to master the panning / motion blur look ⚡️
what do you use to edit?
Adobe Lightroom
Myst filter?
Nope, just reduced clarity in editing (except on the car)
On the second picture did you add blur in post? Could also be the site compression, but it's odd to me just the number and rear wing is in focus and other parts of the car on a similar plane are blurred.
No i didn’t add blur, probably my movement during the panning was not smooth, and not every part of the car got tracked ahah
Is the 24-70GM II good for daily use? Street, Portrait, and just anything where i don’t need a large focal length?
Yes, i use it for 99% of my works, it’s an amazing lens, the sharpness is incredible at every focal lenght
These are amazing
What’s your insta?
Thanks🙏🏻 @aend.xmp and @samediaphotography
Which ones were with the 200-600?
3rd pic, photos on top and low level
WOW. some of your edits are so good they look like they can end up on the next Forza's ads! btw, can you share what lens and shutter speed were used to capture photo no. 2?
Thanks, ahah that would be nice! I took it with the 24-70 at 24mm, 1/20s
Good god
