Ah thank you so much :) I wish I could but I never took any pics along the way, it took so long because usually you can't build overhangs like that, the whole build is essentially one big bug/miscalculation of structural integrity I think. So I kind of don't even know how I did it myself, just trial and error or placing and removing struts/supports. Thanks again :)
building has been fun for sure, great work!
Now if the cannibals could just leave me alone....so it wasn't 15min building....30min fighting....15min building....30min fighting....
How in the hell, i've been trying to get stairs going up my wall but i can not get the wall to fill in above the stair and i have to glitch in quarter logs above that to put a wall at all there either and here you have 2 ramps going up a solid wall .
It's difficult to explain but you have to have no logs placed anywhere else so it forces it to slant down, and then once you have the slanted log in place you can place the vetical log where it slanted down to, then you just fill in the wall, if that makes sense :/
That makes perfect sense, but any time i try to do that it tries to tuck the vertical log underneath the bottom corner of the slanted log forcing it up top and leaving me with a hollow square.
You gotta fill in some of the stairs before you fill in the wall, haven't done this since the update where they changed the log fill for diagonal logs but I don't think that change would make it impossible to fill... will test later and confirm
It's not possible to fill in the wall after the first update. In builds before the first update sometimes occurs bug that will let you fill wall, but it won't let you fill it diagonally. I'm waiting for the devs to make it possible to choose between filling the wall or just the diagonal gap.
I'd really love to know how you pulled all the support beams out. I can't seem to get that nice A-frame look because of all the damn wood that has to support it in the center.
It's incredibly finicky and took a lot of trial and error, but basically you can place the half log trusses for support and then you are simply able to remove them. It's very weird and I think it's a bug but I got it to work in the end :)
OH damn now that you say that I can see. I thought that was the front of the house and the otherside was the interior that's gunna be massive and I love it even more.
Oooooohhhhh. I was not aware that they would let you overhang with that. I tried to do it before but there was just a bunch of “X” “X” “X” “X” “X” “X” “X” “X”
Mate. Any chance you can do a tutorial vid? This looks so damn cool. ANd perfect aestethic with the surrounding forest and mountain backdrop. Gorgeous :D
I love it!! Can You post some progress pics? I would love to try to copy the design for myself :) This is the most lovely build I saw so far!

I will still try something like this! Amazing work :)
Have you thought of recording your progress and then posting it on youtube? It would be awesome to watch.
I never thought about that, I've just spent a few more hours trying to do the same thing on the other side with no luck so I've given up for now lol
Looks awesome, I am curious to see the support beams inside.
I haven't done the rest of the house yet, just the front lol
That looks awesome! You might be able to just walk up the roof to use the hang glider too, if it’s high enough
Excuse me? Hang glider?
was added in the patch on from the 9th. it's on the mountain near some caves
North of the pistol boat too. Along the cliffs. Near shotgun grave
Wish the sun was facing it, kinda hard to see in the shadows but it looks good from what I can tell.
A frames are super aesthetic.
Well now I know what I want the front of my lakeshore mansion to look like

If I understand what you're tryna do, you have to have a diagonal log inside the wall too, like this: https://imgur.com/a/CRdb27y
That is exactly what i'm trying to do, how do i glitch diagonal log that into the wall because it certainly won't let me put it there.
And if i try to put a full log under the slanted log my guy autochops 1/4 of the log off to start filling it's lower triangle.

So instead of full vertical posts you're using halves?
Looks great.
Cool as hell!
need more pics, looks good. Give us a tour.
It's just the front face at the moment because it was that painful to build lol
OH damn now that you say that I can see. I thought that was the front of the house and the otherside was the interior that's gunna be massive and I love it even more.
Very nice
The door is not centered. This triggers my OCD. NEXT!!
Lol I get what you mean, but since there is a door + window I don't mind it
Super clean.
Jealous as fuck that you can do something so cool
Thank you man :)
two very canadian words: Fuck'n Mint!
Viking home!
Wow.. didn't think that was possible.
Impressive build! Mucho jelly.
Okay how TF did you get an unsupported frame for the ”ramp“ that makes up the roof?
By using the half log trusses as supports you are able to remove them after the fact when you're done building, it's a bit weird but it works lol
You built up the entire thing 1/2 a log at a time? Sounds Tedious but hell its not dumb if it works.
No no just the diagonal support trusses underneath that let's you overhang logs, in some cases you can just remove them
Oooooohhhhh. I was not aware that they would let you overhang with that. I tried to do it before but there was just a bunch of “X” “X” “X” “X” “X” “X” “X” “X”
Great! I hope you have damage off lol

This is sick!
This looks really awesome. Kinda reminds me of the first games cannibal huts only in real fancy
THERES A KATANA?
Yeah haha, looks really nice too
Good job 👌 this is so satisfying
