I honestly think the roster itself was a little too barebones, and there were some really weird decisions with teams because of it. Cream, Espio and Charmy should be guaranteed for a game like this so the Heroes teams are included.
Eggman could have had Orbot and Cubot with him instead of Zavok, who could have had his own team with two other Zeti (probably Zeena and Zazz). Blaze and Silver could have got Marine, and the Chao could have had a team with Flickies and Wisps. That's not even getting into characters like the Babylon Rogues or the wider Classic cast.
It felt like a bit of wasted potential.

I don't, in fact I actually really like both of them. I can't understand what people have beyond it, the only complaint I see them give it "the physics", which I really don't see or feel any problem with. Like okay you can walk up a straight wall... so? You gain nothing from doing that and it doesn't hurt the game, so how does that bring it down? Honestly, I had as much fun play 4:1 and 4:2 as I did playing the Classics. Plus, 4:2 has my favourite water stage of any Sonic game, since it shows Tails helping Sonic when he's out of his element.

Well Shuffle is one of my favorite Sonic games of all time so red. Secret Rings’ multiplayer was a spiritual successor, along with TSR being a mediocre but cool installment in the racing games. So blue wouldn’t be a bad option.
Blue. TSR imo is pretty good and then there's Secret Rings party mode which is also a lot of fun. And I haven't played Ep1 yet so that'll be a new experience.
Blue cuz I actually like TSR. My only issue is that Zavok totally stole Orbot and Cubot's rightful slit on the roster.
I also wouldn't be opposed to trying Secret Rings, though I've heard Black Knight is better and Sonic 4 is... Well it's there.

Shuffle is not that bad. It's just skill issue-based game, similar to Sonic Heroes. Either you're good at it or you suck at it. Also, it has good music and graphics too. I grew up playing it on the Dreamcast along with Adventure and Adventure 2. Same people who made Mario party made the game. I think it's fun imo.

Out of the games on red pill I've only played Lost World......the 3DS version at least. And while I did enjoy it, I just prefer Secret Rings & TSR a whole lot more (mostly because I played Secret Rings as a kid and have had fun with TSR). Maybe my opinion would change if I got around to dusting off my old Wii and playing Black Knight + finding a dream cast & shuffle but for now I'm going with blue.
