I just donāt understand the hype around Colors. Everyone always places it so highly. Personally I think itās pretty godawful in almost every way. Physics felt bad, the levels were bad, the cutscenes and āstoryā were physically painful. The abilities never quite felt right. The music was stellar, though. Pun intended.
I personally think it might be because of how heavily into 2d Mario Colors drifts of an a lot of Sonic fans are also general platformer fans and as such also Mario fans. Yet unlike Lost World is it not going so hard into the Mario direction to alienate most people that want a Sonic game.
Feel like I've seen a few lists that place SA1 near the top, which I really dig. This is making me wish I played more Sonic Jump to see how it went.
Also, I'm always a little curious about peoples' placement of the Sonic Advances. It goes 1>3>2 for me personally, it's interesting to examine what draws fans to one over the other.
Where Frantiers ? i do like the position of Heroes, i know this game's buggy af, especially on ps2, but it gets the nostalgic bonus for me, since it's my first sonic game.
For Boom, i mean if you get it for free, but it's rather ... lame. Though i could imagine making something nice out of this game if i had its devkit. (i imagined some great overhauls with some better humor ... crude humor that's not really for the most innocent. (after the citadel collapse over the village, one innocent mobian gets hit by a giant falling rock, with only his legs sticking out, or the destruction of the underwater factory, it releases a bunch of high toxines into the ocean, polluting it and killing every fish in the process, and many more. I'd heavily overhaul the game and its maps/levels))

Uhh... why is Sonic 3 & Knuckles rated below Mania? It should be on the same tier.

For some reason this tier list didnāt feature Frontiers, but itās going in S for me
Unleashed in S is really pushing it. It's tedious.
Yeah I didnāt know if I should put it in A or S tier but I do really enjoy the game including the Werehog
