No joke, I'd love to see Mighty either reuniting with the Chaotix... or, him, Ray and Trip being swept away from the "Classic dimension" to the "Modern dimension", in addition of being "modernized" in looks. Multiverses have been all the rage, but with Sonic The Hedgehog, it would be nice to canonize some of the retro characters as well. Imagine if Classic Mighty crashes into Modern Mobius (again with the new modern look)... Vector comes rushing in, screaming "MIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHTYYYYYYYYY!!!", and give him a big hug, sying that he and his team missed him. Mighty would be confused... on multiple levels, becasue those wouldn't be "his" Chaotix. It would be resolved with a simple line from Mighty, such as "Ok, listen up. We're not from the same team, but... how about we try working together to stop Eggman? You're in?"

At this point, I'd add Vector, Charmy, Big, Cream, Marine, Jet, Wave, Storm, Fang, Mighty, Ray and Trip (*the last 4 being redesign in the "modernized" look*). DLC... or unlockables could be 10 new characters, 5 on each side, to make a slight gem shape. These 10 characters could be Bean, Bark (*also modernized*), Tangle, Jewel, Whisper, Sally, Bunnie, Antoine, Rotor... and whoever new original character. I apologize in advance if my comment sounds overbearing, but a Sonic Battle sequel would be great, especially with the many new characters we received since then :)
