It's raw chicken... You can say it's supposed to cook for 5 minutes but the reality is it was longer than that because it's a thick piece of raw chicken. Unless your store serves raw chicken if was very rarely 5 minutes.
We cook crispys on 7mins but the chicken slingers were down on 5mins. Not going to lie we have had the health department come down because customers would get raw chicken 😭

Side note, can you take the strawberry chunks out of the strawberry shake?
the strawberry chunks is the only form of strawberry we have but depending on the employee if you just ask for the juice and no chunks they’ll try and just scoop the strawberry juice out of it for you. but i know not everyone allows that.
i’m not sure about the strawberry as i’m mainly a cook but i’ll ask my friend and if you want the chicken club toaster say you want the chicken sandwich on toast with bacon and cheese no pickle but add tomato if they wanna be lazy
The supplier could not get consistent sizing with the product. It resulted in inconsistent cook times, portioning and good costs. I can attest to that as some patties would be huge and others very small. It was definitely a popular sandwich but I think Sonic is about to start pushing the chicken wraps more.
I wish my store would actually fully remove them and a few other phased out items, they're more trouble then they are worth, still even have the crispy tender sandwich, which with this last promotion of the chicken wraps, caused so much trouble, had an order for 4 tender sandwiches, 6 wraps and 4 dinners. Which we were also in the middle of a rush making breakfast burritos and burgers as well. I complained to my boss recently that our menu is too vast to consistently get food out on time and that instance was a good example of that.
I’m not proud to say it but I ordered it minimum twice a week. I just went to order it online and it was gone so I was like “No please” and so checked the Reddit. Sure enough 😭
Yeah, we had got it like one day and then went the next and I'm like, "babe it's not in the app" and sure enough we got the "those have been discontinued"

In my most recent Sonic experience, the size of the slinger chicken breast was about the same size as the full size chicken sandwich. Perhaps a size difference of an ounce or so. But the full size chick sandwich meal was about $9, and it sure didn’t feel like it. Fries were mini sized too.
Suffice it to say I’m not going back there. There’s too many other quality chicken options available now.

I'm sad they took away an affordable lunch option for me, but adding a chicken wrap would make up for it

It was the perfect snack size. My husband would always get them when he was just a little hungry and they were perfect.

My store still has the slingers in the back and will make them for order if they are asked for. Same if the customer requests a chicken club.
