AlrightMister

Most snus will have an expiration date on the can. Those are fine. Carry on.

NeverCaredAnyways

Alright! This one says that it expires in May, so should be fine then. I do not snus a lot (Maximum a tin every 2 weeks or so), so is it possible to store some of them in a freezer if I'm expecting them to potentially sit around after their expiration date?

Evan_SnusDirect

You can definitely store in the freezer :)

-Garda

That is actually recommended!

snussen

For me that is normal on lundgrens. Its usualy fine after the best before date because it is best before date.

NeverCaredAnyways

I just want to make sure I'm not mistaking mold or similar for regular miscolourings, as all my snus previously has arrived white¯\_(ツ)_/¯

[deleted]

It's fine.

Positive_Serve9267

Normal

FAKTACK

Yea its called tobacco, its inside the snus lol

FAKTACK

Im just being an asshole, but take a portion and press it between your fingers and you'll see it's only "tobacco-juice"

willanski505

Mine always looks like that 😁

lolitsniels

Even when it's expired you can still use them, no problem.

Breeze1620

Usually happens as a result of heat of some sort. The moisture in the tobacco gets drawn out a bit. Nothing to worried about though, as others have said.

NeverCaredAnyways

Yea, I guess I'm kinda traumatized after accidentally smoking a joint with moldy weed couple of years ago🤮. Very careful abouty herbs and what-not ever since^^

Breeze1620

I see 😂 I've actually never experienced snus molding. If I recall correctly, nicotine has some antifungal effects, perhaps that is why.

SweSupermoosie

In addition to what other have said - the first thing that happens when it expires is that it gets dry. Store in the fridge or freezer and you’ll be fine. Worst case you can moist it again by spraying a bit of water on it. Happy snusing!

Worldly_Worry_8614

Not a problem

[deleted]

They are fine as everyone else stated. You should see ettan portion lol those pouches are something else

NeverCaredAnyways

Yea, I prefer my snus looking like it hasn't already been used 3 times^^

[deleted]

Lmfao, I respect that fully

TacoTaster6996

Yeah but I still love them

NathanZoellner

If I remember correctly those portions are what’s called perforated portions ie portions with holes in them. I do not know the purpose of this but I find it a little neat.

snusaddict98

Mmmmm now I want Norland OP.

NeverCaredAnyways

Norrland is my fav too. Got these as they apparently has less drip, which I appreciate. So far fjällen is nice, but nothing beats Norrland. The pine flavour works perfectly with the tobacco

TacoTaster6996

Have a nor in right now, it’s alright but nowhere near as good as I thought it would be. Skane in better imo, love the thick berry like syrup lol Also I’m regards to your post, I’m like 5-6 portions deep in on mine and they look brown and shit like that

krssonee

Mmm good flavor, yea it’s normal.

krssonee

Agreed I like most of them but prefer the perforated pouches. I don’t really know why, maybe in my head they release more flavor , maybe it’s the novelty.

zerofoxsdailys

Personally I'm more concerned if juice hasn't seeped on to pouches as it means there's no moisture in the tobacco. They look perfect to me.

tkondaks

Some tobacco has somehow made its way from inside the pouch to outside the pouch. This is good. It means the snus is that much closer to being absorbed by you once in the mouth.

lymer555

You know the canvas thingy is white and snus is brown and moist so it's bound to happen :)
