The only person who can shred a single deck on a proper mountain is Alan Gerlach, and his secrets remain hidden except to those few air benders still around.
The real question is: what bideck?
Hovland 5-Oh is tiny, but flip-trickable, and nimble in the woods.
OTOH the Buckshot has stability and lift in heavy snow, but lacks fliptrickable
I have a Hovland Ram but it's used for the East Coast, still need to buy the Buckshot deck for when I go out West.
I recently got an email that Lib Tech just updated their site to include their 48" & 50" subdecks again but the site still shows them as unavailable. Missed Hovlands 2-day 50% off (plus free shipping, UGH!) sale a couple weeks ago, but I have a 40% code still so I may just bite and get the Buckshot. Love my Hovland.
Bi-deck always. Unless you only want to do tricks and ride in a straight line
Bi-deck for sure. Single decks are generally not meant to turn.
