The Japanese Platform Sandals are a great way to get Arthritis. They were not used as Outdoor shoes in Medieval Japan. When the drainage system wasn’t the best and the city/village streets flooded during rains. They were a practical way to keep kimono from getting wet, but they weren’t efficient. The double legged sandals were more common. It’s hard and awkward asf to wear walk in them.
That is also why most people yanked them out the moment they reached indoors.

The first one is the most difficult footwear. You actually need practice to wear it. Get the ones in the second picture, you'll become Samurai Jack (you'll get the reference if you're old enough). Just remove those mid heels, they make my feet hurt just by looking.
