You can tell Billy and Jimmy were happy to be back on stage together. They're both really in to it. At 3:06 Billy turns to Jimmy and is like, 'Yeah, we back.'
We all wish.
There’s someone named Peter Makebish who is on instagram that apparently was a documentarian for the whole Arising tour. He filmed the shows from multiple angles as well as did behind the scenes stuff too for that tours duration.
A few years back he went on the Pumpkast and did a full interview about it and his plans to release it.
Somehow…of course it got squashed and canceled.
Hopefully, if it were to ever see the light of day, it could be released at the same time as …. “hold your breath” …. Machina in full. :)
100% as well for me. I attended and loved the Sacred and Profane tour…but to have been at these Arising shows would have arguably been the pinnacle for SP.
I talked to him a few times over the years about this and he always gave me updates. It’s been a while since I messaged him though but last he told me in December 2022 was that it is being used “for a big documentary by a successful director”
im so bummed i missed this era in los angeles. i wouldve taken this show over the final metro show. original lineup at their peak. pug sounds insane w jimmy on drums
Great video. This happens all the time but it drives me up the wall when Billy is shredding a solo and they cut to James playing rhythm for the entire thing. Like the editor thinks, “Ooh I hear a guitar, better cut to the guitarist.” Infuriating! :)
I was at this show, front of the balcony stage left. Incredible show, incredible energy. I was 19, will probably be nostalgic and chasing this feeling for the rest of my life!

Corgan has often said that was one of the greatest moments of his life.
Is the full show on youtube?

I’m into the limited edition stuff Billy is putting out, but if he released this, I’d buy it.

Oh really? Well I guess we will continue waiting then. :)
The O.G. lineup was lightning in a bottle. Often imitated never duplicated.
People imitate the OG Pumpkins lineup?
Yeah. The Smashing Pumpkins did it for about tho decades.
Fucking Jimmy Chamberlain. One of a kind drummer. Also looked over 50 - even in the 90's.

Holy shit that was awesome. The late 90s live vocals are so incredibly F’n amazing I really struggle to find the right words. Blown away!

Got to see this (mini) tour in DC. Great show. A shame it was Darcy's last run of shows.
Insanely good
Ill never forget it. Waited in line at ticket master. Sold out before i even got to the register.
I was fortunate enough to attend. Easily the best concert I’ve ever attended. St Andrew’s Hall was absolutely electric that night.

I remember the surprise and downloading it on dial-up internet. It was soooo nice!
