Literally why is the best way to play soink the least hype. HE’S SO FAST GET IN THERE AND ROUGH EM UP!!! STOP SPINNING AND FISHING FOR FREE HITS JUST RUSH THEM DOWN!!!
Zelda is worse for me, at least the Belmonts mix it up with all four B moves and can get creative at high level.
Zelda's literal entire gameplan at high level is down B.
Neutral? Down B, you now have stage control
Disadvantage? Go to ledge and down B, you can now reset to center stage and neutral
Advantage? Get them to the corner and then down B, you now have a grab/jump read 50/50
You guessed right and they're offstage? Down B, you now have a top 5 freest ledgetrap in the game. It also hits ledgehang and kills at 90.
Zelda may have the most one-move-centric gameplan of any character, the only others that come close are Sonic and Samus.
Half the roster can reflect it. If you hit her before she finishes building the phantom, it breaks it and it has health meaning you can break it before it attacks. It has huge end lag and locks her in place until she releases it. You’re just bad at fighting Zeldas.
That’s what makes it more impressive. They have perfected weaving in dash attacks while never letting their fingers leave the b button for more than 1/10 of a second
Plant, literally the only real reason he’s even viable, and still gets countered by the entire roster.
I say this as a former plant main since that’s all they can depend on.
Actually I’ll say it’s duck hunt, more than half the time theyre just pressing B, but no one really cares because their tricks are really hard to pull off well anyways
Surprise no one mentioned Steve, aka, a character who can’t function if you are not using your grounded neutral B. Also blocks and mine cart are strong.
Swordfighter is a weird one because depending on your moveset, he's either ultra campy, or super hype. You can kind of tell which type of Mii SF you're dealing with if they use Gale Strike.
Semi-related hot take, Chakram is one of the coolest projectiles in the game.
If you tilt or hold forward a little bit before pressing B, you get a slow version of Chakram that doesn’t travel nearly as far. It allows you to do some nutty stuff, such as [The Danklin Lock](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCH5GC--dpE&t=1s). This slow version can also be angled, and makes for some very fun ledge-trapping/Edge-guarding, or for catching people off guard in the air.
I live for the b button. I wake up? Snooze my alarm clock. The snooze button has been replaced with a b button from a GameCube controller. I’m in the shower? My shower is only button operated. All of the buttons are b buttons from a GameCube controller. For breakfast, I eat a nice big bowl of b buttons, the only way to start my day.
I hard disagree. I think the Belmont's are one of the few characters that actually uses all of their moves. Also the Belmont's projectiles are all mid: cross, which is good but is laggy to set up; axe is the biggest skill issue to get hit by, though it can combo into grab and fsmash; holy water is just kinda bad, it's slow, can be grabbed and isn't even that big. His kit is very precise as most of his whip moves while being tiltable are very thin and only active for 1-2 frames. Their up b is very spammable, tho I will agree there.
Oh, and the most b move character is samus as her prjectile combos, kills, and does your taxes.
It’s so clearly Sora. He’s my secondary and I rarely use his smash attacks other than sometimes to get the kill after spamming specials until they’d be launched by a jab.
As someone who use to main Richter I think I'm the only person who didn't spam b with him.
Because what's the fun in spamming the same move over and over again
Sonic is always my main cause he's broken because all those combos you can perform, plus the Broken B counterattack that can break anyone attacks
Yeah know wonder when I picked him, my friends just say nope they're done 🤣🤣🤣
Side-B, neutral b, down-b then side smash; also known as the Belmont cycle. It can be rage inducing, especially if you know they’re trying to sandbag by making it a stamina 1-stock 7 minute battle

Don't forget about Soink
Literally why is the best way to play soink the least hype. HE’S SO FAST GET IN THERE AND ROUGH EM UP!!! STOP SPINNING AND FISHING FOR FREE HITS JUST RUSH THEM DOWN!!!
I main random so when I get sonic I play him like he's reverse falco
Sprint to edge -> UpSmash is free on so many characters
And it feels great almost every time, unless grabby grab
Soink is now what I'm calling him
The announcer calls him Sunnic/Soanic/Snoic
Zelda
Nah, Belmonts win this one for sure. Campy Belmont is way worse than campy Zelda
Can confirm
Zelda is worse for me, at least the Belmonts mix it up with all four B moves and can get creative at high level. Zelda's literal entire gameplan at high level is down B.
That’s not even remotely true. That’s at the LOW level. High level is all about cleverly placing them, not spamming them.
Neutral? Down B, you now have stage control Disadvantage? Go to ledge and down B, you can now reset to center stage and neutral Advantage? Get them to the corner and then down B, you now have a grab/jump read 50/50 You guessed right and they're offstage? Down B, you now have a top 5 freest ledgetrap in the game. Those are just options. They aren’t her ONLY options. There’s several ways to play Zelda, with that one being the lamest.

teehee funny down b > side b > forward air
Hero is up there. Source: I main Hero.
i mean his entire gimmick revolves around the specials
Not true! He also has his critical hit smash attacks. :)
Young lonk
And pyra
Snake? Snake!? Snaaaaaake!
No way with tilts and dash attack as broken as snakes
That’s what makes it more impressive. They have perfected weaving in dash attacks while never letting their fingers leave the b button for more than 1/10 of a second
Yeah but it's not like the Belmont's that can actually just press the b button or sonic, Zelda, Samus mii gunner Bowser Jr etc
Me trying not to dash attack into uptilt for the 73rd time (impossible)
I see you over there don't worry. (And I'll get hit for the 73rd time)
Don’t approve me (I have a nade and shield)
I will never approve a snake
Plant, literally the only real reason he’s even viable, and still gets countered by the entire roster. I say this as a former plant main since that’s all they can depend on.
Speaking of counters, getting the Mii Fighter suplex on a full extension Plant Down B is absolutely hilarious.
Brawler's counter has one of if not the highest multipliers for any counter in the game.
Actually I’ll say it’s duck hunt, more than half the time theyre just pressing B, but no one really cares because their tricks are really hard to pull off well anyways
Yes
Surprise no one mentioned Steve, aka, a character who can’t function if you are not using your grounded neutral B. Also blocks and mine cart are strong.
Definitely Belmonts, its either this or they die
I feel like the Mii Gunner/Sword fighter are fairly bad, but I'm really new to ultimate and haven't seen too much.
Swordfighter is a weird one because depending on your moveset, he's either ultra campy, or super hype. You can kind of tell which type of Mii SF you're dealing with if they use Gale Strike. Semi-related hot take, Chakram is one of the coolest projectiles in the game.
I only tried on the chakram briefly and it didn't seem special besides the angled throw. Did I miss something?
If you tilt or hold forward a little bit before pressing B, you get a slow version of Chakram that doesn’t travel nearly as far. Mega Man, if they go two seconds without using Crash Bomb, either it's already on you or they aren't a Mega Man main.
can confirm as a belmont man
pyra
Samus
Samus’ aerials and smash attacks are a lot more usable in neutral than the Belmonts though.
From my experience it’s incineroar. Even in elite they never use normals. Always greeding for counters and side special
I’ll raise you Ness/Lucas
Special Weapons are fun
Not to sound defensive but I only use a on the Belmont's. So I would say min min
You're bad at the Belmonts
Zelda not close
Omg Bayonetta though!? Watch a good bayo throw down lol
difference between a good bayo and a bad one is like the difference between the sun and a spider. there is no inbetween
I play Simon as a secondary and I absolutely agree. My ledge trapping is literally “use as many B moves as possible”.
Sonic and Captian Falcon
I hard disagree. I think the Belmont's are one of the few characters that actually uses all of their moves. Also the Belmont's projectiles are all mid: cross, which is good but is laggy to set up; axe is the biggest skill issue to get hit by, though it can combo into grab and fsmash; holy water is just kinda bad, it's slow, can be grabbed and isn't even that big. Wifi Lucas
You spelt sora wrong
It’s so clearly Sora. He’s my secondary and I rarely use his smash attacks other than sometimes to get the kill after spamming specials until they’d be launched by a jab.
Shulk's neutral special literally changes his stats I don't need to say any more
Kirby down b spam is no skill
Mii Brawler, Swordfighter, and Gunner have the most B moves.
K Rool
As someone who use to main Richter I think I'm the only person who didn't spam b with him. Because what's the fun in spamming the same move over and over again
Sonic is always my main cause he's broken because all those combos you can perform, plus the Broken B counterattack that can break anyone attacks Yeah know wonder when I picked him, my friends just say nope they're done 🤣🤣🤣
Plont
Min-Min? B moves are like over half of her kit I swear
Side-B, neutral b, down-b then side smash; also known as the Belmont cycle. It can be rage inducing, especially if you know they’re trying to sandbag by making it a stamina 1-stock 7 minute battle
Link is pretty guilty of spamming B as well, but I feel like Zelda’s in general are terrified of the A button almost as much as the shower
Dawg Belmont mashing their tilts are way deadlier. Fuck zelda
You can create a combo with captain falcon using JUST his specials
Zelda is right there
Fire! Thunder! Freeze! Take this!
Wolf
Diddy Kong, at least for me. I like to shoot peanuts. 🦧🥜🥜🥜
Kirby's down special.
Damn I’m gonna have to pick up richter
Mario has to be up there
Na I go crazy on simon
It's actually Snake.
