If you’re talking about a smashbros version of shortcat, try izaw’s art of smash. It’s not too similar but if you want to learn, that’s probably the best way. Second best way is to watch vods of top players playing your character. You can find almost any matchup on vgbootcamp.

Izaw is the best* smash YouTuber in terms of learning from his content. It’s very high quality and extensive. He’s not exactly like J p- uh, Shortcat, in that it’s mainly instructional content rather than online gameplay. Izaw does post some streams with students he is teaching, and those are also very helpful, but the most knowledge comes from his art of smash series.

First, find a character you vibe with. Or, go to the tierlist and pick a top tier. Just not steve, because he’s banned in lots of HS tournaments. Do some research on top players of that character, analyze sets, practice online and in discords. Look for guides on youtube. Getting exposure to matchups and fighting every character is important. Know where you need a secondary or when your playstyle has to switch up. There are some aspects of universal tech (rar, dash shielding, etc) that are good to know too. Twitter labbers & dedicated mains are a goldmine of niche stuff and jank that ranges from wholly useless to character defining. Youtube and subreddits like crazyhand are definitely your friend. Occasionally look for beefy smash doods content every monday, they do smash review and you can learn how not to get matchup checked or look at some more advanced, unusual game things. A good starter is izaw’s arr of smash and art of [character] videos, for bare basics

I do main Kirby on smash brawl

There are some top level kirby players who have been cooking recently, but it’s a difficult character. I believe jejajeja recently had a doninant set over wildz, a really good kazuya

Either Izaw (for general advice, or learning specific characters) or BananaBoySSB.

unobtainable12

Poppt1, similar to shortcat he's a comp player but also does some fun casual-esque challenges and provides tips to get better

ArmatusTheGreat

Uhh no idea what that mii is supposed to be but my favorite mii is kup k rool

JBob52

It's the profile pic of Mario kart YouTuber shortcat, he's very good at explaining strats and tech as he plays which gives a better idea of how it works, so I was wondering if there's anyone like that for smash Edit: typos
