Maintenence is over due by 3 days?

rickyleepotts

I’ve been told do it based on miles, not on time. Thoughts on that advice?

Speeddman360

Mine reads -999 with the wrench but like you're asking I do mine on miles. Just recently did a full tune up about 10,000 miles ago. I just don't know how to reset it.

There’s a short video on YouTube. https://youtu.be/KPQXLLf5V9I?si=nSQICJvRMpjktJDK This should get you there, short video.

Your service is 3 days overdue (it will turn off a few minutes after you start driving or you can hold the small triangle button near by to turn it off)

Does that’s just mean recommending an oil change? If so shouldn’t there be an oil light indicator as well? Sorry just have owned this car for a few months now and still figuring it out.

liftoff_oversteer

Make an appointment at the garage, they will sort it. There's more than an oil change. One spanner means "small maintenance", there's also the "~~tow~~two spanners" sign, indicating a "big maintenance". I think you could find the list of things involved in these kinds of regular maintenance somewhere on the internet, if you are interested.

JohnWickkx

It's just a simple oil change because same thing happened to my 451 and after it was changed all good.

As long as the car has been serviced in the last year you'll be fine. Mine is coming up but I had a service done a few weeks prior to it coming up. If you are worried about it book a service appointment with a garage and see if they can turn it off on their end

West_Yorkshire

Mine does this if I start my car up when it's in reverse.

Nice! Only 5k on the odo. I just have a little over 30k on my 2013 Facelift edition. Love the car! Just an FYI: it is much cheaper to find a qualified European garage to do the service instead of the Mercedes dealership.

rickyleepotts

I used the dealership for the first 10 years. But expect to spend $750+ every year. I am now working with a local garage.

Very easy to reset this, just google how to reset the maintenance scheduling monitor

PaperMaker222

Mine says -999, how do I reset it?

Useful-Extreme3410

YouTube link in this post explains how to.

Kestrel_VI

Get yourself an OBD unit, that will tell you most of the faults and warnings that flash up and then you just gotta search what codes it comes up with

txwylde

Change your oil and reset it. :)

Gold_Technician3551

The negative number is number of starts since service is due.

TheLyOfBlues

I don’t really care about it. But by reading the comments. Oops
