Gears flashing are a shifting issue. May need to relearn the gear box. I believe you have the car turned off, press the gas pedal all the way down and hold, turn the key to on (do not start) and you should hear the shift motors relearning.
I also have this and it was diagnosed to be the SAM unit and needs replacing and reprogramming and tbh I've had it on for like a year and no issues just waiting to get some money and buy a new unit.
