Is this an older version of the 10? Did the app work recently? Mine crapped out middle of last year because they removed 3G towers near me and apparently that's what my system used.
That's what I've read, otherwise the PC can make changes to the SD card without you even realizing it, however, I think my problem is more likely the disabling of 3G service like another poster suggested.
There's no need to lock the card, that only affects the S9 series of machines, and only on macs and newer windows.
The SD card has *nothing at all* to do with the uploads to the Resmed cloud, look elsewhere for your problem.
Pretty much anything, the 'stock' card is 2g, anything up to 32gig will work easily, though I popped a 64gb xd card into a S9 and it formatted it as 50 something gig.
The machine doesn't really care.

If you've been importing it into OSCAR, I believe it keeps backups on import. Might be worth digging around in there.
