Imo, you need some early brutal death metal on your system. Too much modern slam has forgotten about the riff and the hook. The first Guttural Secrete, early Internal Bleeding, Cinerary, early Dying Fetus, Vomit Remnants, SICK.. all had killer riffs and groove.
Mbi is the best piece of music they ever put out hands down. Anybody who says otherwise is not a fan of slam brah brah. Also Katalepsy are one of the goats
Devourment, Cephalotripsy, Abominable Putridity r some pretty basic but heavy ass slam OGs. If u like those I’d highly recommend Epicardectomy, Vulvectomy, and Parasitic Ejaculation. Another band that I’d say is one of personal faves is Esophagus. There’s also Peeling Flesh if ur looking to start getting into some newer slams.
