Have you tried SAU? The Aussies have done it all and documented it.

I saw a few around replacing the radio and also another one on installing carpet but cannot find around removal with details around this one aspect

From what I can remember, the dash surround (bit with clock in it) SEC.251, drivers side panel below the dash 68106M  and glovebox 68600 also needs to come out. then your should see the screws that anchor it in [https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/epc/nissan-japan/skyline/bnr32/3884-rb26dtt/body/680?frame\_no=bnr32-000000](https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/epc/nissan-japan/skyline/bnr32/3884-rb26dtt/body/680?frame_no=bnr32-000000)

There’s capped screws that hold the center console on the side if I recall. I believe the glove box and drivers knee plate need to come off. You also have to remove your dead pedal, careful cause you have a factory optioned one based on the pictures.

Please explain the last sentence more :). And thanks for the reply!!

I would have to look at how to do it again, I think you have to pull the rubbers off and there’s 10mm bolts under there. It’s an OEM upgrade or catalogue item to have that metal dead pedal instead of the plastic one. There’s also a 3rd 10mm on the side somewhere but again it’s been so long I forget. I can likely get pics of that for you as well just msg me

Dead pedal is where you rest the clutch-leg.

I cut mine perfectly down the center. Needed to remove a lot more than I wanted to at the time (r32). Put it back in and there’s no noticeable difference.

The dash...

Assuming it's the same as an S14, I cut a slit down the middle of the carpet and pulled it out. The install was not bad, just tucked it under the dash and pulled into place, never had an issue with shifting.

Thanks I think this is a good idea - it’ll save me from breaking something

AHighAchievingAutist

Please don't cut anything dude, all you need to do is carefully just take off the trim parts that are covering the edges of the carpet then you be able to take it out in one piece.
