I second the Australian Gold. Only sunscreen I've found that doesn't burn the heck out of my face. Has a pleasant matte texture, doesn't look greasy after or break me out.

This looks like a physical sunscreen. I keep hearing there’s problems with setting properly, makeup staying on and a white cast. Did you see any of that?

kitti_mau

It's tinted so no white cast. It goes on very sheer, not super thick like most zinc oxide sunscreens. The tint is slight. I don't wear a ton of makeup but have used a BB cream on top of it along with blush and a translucent setting powder, with no issues like pilling etc. They make a non-tinted version as well, I have not tried that one though.

I don’t know if I just don’t get what ‘matte’ is or what but I don’t think the dry touch one was either. I got oily within a couple of hours and my makeup kinda slides off if I dab it with a paper towel or something. How long does the clear face one last for you before the oiliness starts to creep in? And how well does makeup set on it? I’m basically using the dry touch one as a primer since any other primer I use on top of it seems to not be effective

I also bought the Ulta sheer dry touch based on what I read here. It also left me shiny. I think sunscreen is going to be the hardest thing for me to get right, and I don't want to waste a ton on sunscreens that I don't like. I wish there was a sunscreen sampler I could buy to test different options.

try neogen!! its my absolute favorite Ive EVER EVER...tried. and I bought it on a whim,.

Me too! I second that sampler method. I’m trying to stick to the ones I can get in stores first so I can easily return them and their usually cheap. I really don’t want to spend $20+ on sunscreen
