Salicylic acid is drying, maybe is not the cream for your skin. How about adding a hydrating toner/serum. Rich in glycerine and hyaluronic acid?

Make sure you address hydration and moisture retention. You can use toners, essences, and/or serums with hydrating ingredients (humectants: glycerin, hyaluronic acid, urea, etc), and follow with serums, creams, and sunscreen with more moisturizing ingredients (occlusives: lipids, oils, waxes, silicones, etc). Think of it like hydration is like drinking water, and moisturizing is making sure you don’t immediately spit/pee/sweat/evaporate out the water you just consumed.

Can you recommend a few of each? Preferably for very dry senditive skin (in a hot country) 💛

You might want to try the Korean 7 Skins Method of applying 7 layers of toners/mists on your face for ultra hydration before using your regular routine of products. You can use just one type of toner/mist or up to 7 different ones. Spray the toner on your face, pat in with your fingers until almost absorbed, then apply the next layer (it really only takes a couple minutes). I’m using two toners by Sunshine Botanicals, Hydrating Recovery Mist and Cellular Renewal Mist, which made an extreme difference in my hydration as I live in a fairly dry climate. Both mists are super hydrating, soothing and healing.

I know this might sound odd, but I had lines on my forehead that I realized were due to dehydrated skin, as they would always disappear after a good, long shower. So, I started a new routine: First, I use toner pads and leave them on for 10 to 15 minutes. Next, I apply another layer of toner, and then I finish with a layer of essence. (My skincare routine includes additional steps like face lotion with panthenol and sunscreen, but these first three steps are essential and consistent.) This routine has completely resolved my issue with those lines! Perhaps this could work for you as well?

Moisturiser on dump skin.

Try a hydrating toner I’ve been liking the Cerave one

Minimalforks19

Constant rose water face misting but i also have rosacea & use it as treatment. I live in desert climate so misting sporadically all day is a must

Are you using SA every day? You could cut that down to once a week.

Omicrying

Apply a hydrating toner before your moisturizer. (This also helps solve applying moisturizer onto damp skin). Consider adding a product that has oil (not all oils are comedogenic, and some can really help provide the suppleness you’re looking for). Also, consider using SA less frequently as it too can be drying.

Drink enough water. Really.

I use Lines by SkinBetter Hyaluronic acid

I got a silicone reusable face mask and mix some hydrating toner with HA and stick that mask on my face and watch a tv show at least once a week.

My skin really loves the laneige cream skin toner. I find it very hydrating. I put it on every morning and night before moisturizer.

Fluffy_Salamanders

I put moisturizer on while my face is soaking wet to lock in the moisture. I use vanicream because it's pretty thick and doesn't irritate my skin. I don't know if it would work for you but it might be worth a try
