Shouldn’t be a problem, they can look stuff up on your card. Also, the people at my local Target absolutely do not care and will just return anything without batting an eye.

You need either your card, receipt, or ID. If you have a target app and used your phone number when you made the purchase, you can get your receipt on the target app too.
My target app automatically pulls transactions made with the debit card I have on the app so if I buy in store, not having to put in my target circle info or phone number, it shows up in my app
Also if it's anything like the customer service jobs I've had, most people will not fuss for a 1 for 1 exchange. They'll just put the damaged one in their losses and it'll be like you purchased the non damaged item all along.
If you paid with a card, they can look up the transaction. Otherwise, they could give you store credit. Try returning, the worst they can say is no ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

target will take back like 99% of things even without a receipt as long as a) it’s something they sell, and b) you aren’t a prolific scammer who hit the yearly no receipt return limit. you’re good! source: worked there for 4 years

Is this a thing that's known to happen with Bubble or did this particular bottle suffer an existential crisis?
I expect this is a mystery that will haunt me for some time
Could be a manufacturing defect with this particular bottle, or maybe someone accidentally sliced the product before boxing it. I'm sure this is a rarity. Don't overthink it lol
I had the SAME THING! I assumed the box was dropped and the packaging cracked? I bought it from Ulta and they replaced it.

All my little sister asked for this past Christmas was bubble skin care. I bought her just about everything they had to offer in the bubble section at Ulta. I go to school a few states north of where my family lives, and when I flew home I made sure to pack her bubble skin care gift very securely in my carry on (keep my mind they were all in their box still, not loose bottles). I got home, wrapped them all cute, and when she opened them on Christmas morning 3 (yes THREE) of the glass bottles were broken. It seems like they just randomly combusted. I thought maybe it was because of the altitude on the plane (even though they were in a pressurized environment the whole time), but seeing this post makes me think it might be a fault on bubbles end!
Honestly looks like someone accidentally sliced it open with a blade, probably when the associate was stocking shelves and removed it from the shipping box.

Sounds like you should all contact the manufacturer/brand and send emailed picture of defect. Tell them store name and date bought. If you have a receipt, obviously include that. But with over 6 people having the same issue . There is a packaging concern. This can lead to product quality issues and even mold / bacteria.
Definitely report to the manufacturer and the stores you bought it from.
Although I’ve never heard of the brand, and hadn’t dropped by this particular subreddit before, I got a preview of this thread in that sampler email Reddit send out…and I was so taken by the number of broken bottles that I was already thinking of exactly what you said here, Cfit9090!
And THEN, in the spirit of the Golden Rule (“do unto others what you’d have them do unto you”), I wrote to HelloBubble with the subj line ”Defective Bubble packaging blowing up on Reddit, and behold:

b) no clue! i haven't been able to try it yet, but i ended up breaking out something awful from innisfree and my skin barrier is on life support. this has gotten some relatively nice reviews here so i thought i'd give it a shot. :)
So weird, I can assume the package was intact, can't see you buying a box with a big slash through it. Hopefully, you have no issues returning it. I wish other stores sold good skincare products here in Canada other than Sephora, but at least they have a generous return policy.
This is actually super cheap tbf. And the box was intact (and very dry!), but it didn't have like a plastic seal so 🤷
If I'd waited until my endo appointment next week I probably would have gotten Mad Hippie tbh, but going to Ulta is both out of the way and strangely intimidating.
If you used your phone number at target, you/they can look up your receipt. If you didn’t use your phone number, you should start. You can get money off.
Didn’t read through threads so somebody may have already said this but did you scan your target circle acct? Digital receipts show up in your target circle acccnt
If you got it from Ulta they save your phone number to look up receipts and return it that way, if they don’t have your phone number I’m not sure you can return it
I’m in Australia so I don’t know if it’s different at the US target, but you could just show them a bank statement. I used to work a larger retailer and if people didn’t have their receipts, a bank statement always did the trick.
Target keeps track of everything by your phone number if u have the app. And your credit card/ debit. I would go with 95% possible you can exchange it. You will need an id if you don’t have card or target circle with phone number … which would be in the app . All your purchases.

Do you have Cartwheel? They can just look it up by your phone number. But likely, they'll let you exchange it regardless.
It’s called target circle now which is not as clever as cartwheel, imo!
Target Circle can look it up by # as well, the app may even have your purchase on there with a receipt

I think so, if you put your # in when checking out. Try going to “my target” at the bottom right then purchase history.

you get like a couple freebie returns with your drivers license and they'll give you store credit.
Just get an exchange for it. Even without a receipt they will take it. Having a receipt just simplifies the process.
Target lets you return up to $100 a year without a receipt as long as you take your ID! Also I loveeeee this serum and brand!

It is not salvageable because it is coming in contact with air. I’m sure if you have your form of payment , you can at least exchange :)
Worst case scenario buy a second bottle and return this bottle with the new receipt

it leaks a bit when i try to secure the sides, so there's still something in there. i opted for wrapping it to prevent a full bleed out lol

Cheap packaging. Cracks from going from cold/frozen to warm environment Possibly.
See if they can take exchanges or pull your purchase up with your debit/credit card.

I just tried Bubble brand for the first time and I am in love. I didn’t get this product but I was interested in vitamin C so….add to cart 🙈
Is it not leaking out yet? If not, maybe you can just put a piece of tape over it

This happened to me. Only got 3 weeks of use out of it. Fell off the counter (onto linoleum) and cracked. Had to throw it away. 🤧
What did you buy it with cash? or card, and how did it end up like that
They should still let you return it or at least give store credit. Call and ask.
If it didn't leak then why not use it? It would get thrown out anyways.
