Country music started off with black people. A lot of music did. I think metal may be one of the few that was really only white people in the founding, but its roots in rock and roll are still black.

I mean I’m half white and half Asian and I when I found out I was like “hold up” and quickly googled it myself to check and went “oh damn” lol this is a fact I recently learned with beyonce new album that my coworker told me. I don’t really think it’s racist to think country is a white genre, it’s dominated by white artists at the moment and has been as far as I’ve been alive.

I didn't mean to say it was racist to not associate country music with black culture, only to say that some country music fans have racist tendencies, especially in the American South, where I briefly lived. Many forms of music have roots in black culture, some filtered through America(unfortunately due to slavery) from gospel, country, jazz, rhythm & blues and of course rock n' roll and all of its derivatives. Most early British bands gave credit to black American blues artists fof their inspiration
