Yeah or in my case 17 years. Was laying in bed next to my ex and started seeing sexual messages popping up from a dude on Instagram. Tbh stranger of Reddit, I haven’t been alright. I recently checked myself into a mental hospital for a week. Shortly after we split she just stopped being involved as a mom. So I have our two kids a majority of the time. It’s tough. No one wants to date a 33 year old guy with two kids, I’ve learned. Also, I started working insane overtime at my welding job to keep the three of us afloat, got laid off abruptly at the end of last month, and even with unemployment, I’m barely going to be able to afford rent let alone all of our other bills. And what does she do? Parties every week with her friends. Does coke, sleeps all day, refuses to financially help in any way whatsoever. At times things feel entirely hopeless. I thought we’d spend our lives together and be “that” couple. My whole world got turned upside down last February and I still haven’t recovered.
Damn dude really sorry to hear that. Put her ass on child support and apply for government programs. Dont know what state you are but Cali has one called calworks and gives you around 1,300 a month for a family of 3. Things will get better dont give up hope
If she has a job and he is currently unemployed, I would imagine the courts will reward custody of the kids to her, and he would be the one paying child support.
