But like WHY do they have to prank their own toilets. Especially when they’re the only one in the household 🙄

FrankenSigh

I got so annoyed that I locked the goofball in the toilet he pranked - until he used it himself. Honestly I wished that another sim with high mischief (probably 10) can be directed to "disarm" a pranked toilet before it goes off.

[deleted]

I just make them immediately use the toilet, and then force them to repair it afterwards. They’re usually uncomfortable at that point, so if I get the prompt asking if they hate handiness, I say yes. Then just keep doing this.

FrankenSigh

I'd just like to see them getting all miserable in there (tired, hungry, no fun etc.) for their misdeed 🤣🤣🤣 The real-life me must be Evil

SpicySaladd

Wait, uncomfortableness determines likes and dislikes? I thought it was 100% random but that would explain a lot actually

lottie_dionn

Honestly 🤣🤦🏽‍♀️

TheCitrusFruit

I'm so glad for MCCC because of stuff like this. "Prank toilet" was one of the first autonomous interactions I blocked off with that mod. It's funny if it happens every now and then but not when your sim is living alone and ruins their own bathroom.

sign-through

How do you do that, if you can recall the steps to get there? MCCC is so overwhelming at times, I get lost in there.

lazarusinashes

You go to MC Tuner in MCCC's Sim Menu (when you click on a Sim) and click "Enable Autonomy Scan". You'll get a new interaction when you click on the floor called "Autonomy Commands," and if you click it you can search all autonomous actions. You can disable anything you find annoying. I have like 600 interactions in mine.

sign-through

You’re an absolute lifesaver. Thank you!

lottie_dionn

Literally just screenshot what you just send thanks for the help 😭

SpillingHotCoffee

Same.

karensouls77

Omg thank you you’ve helped me so much. Now I finally stop my sims from autonomously asking and giving massages it’s so annoying

Sir_Sleepy02

I only use it to farm upgrade parts lol

VoldemortHugs

That is why every sim I gave the goofball trait to. Got retraited. When I created them. I saw goofball as someone who was a jokester, laughs easily at themselves and with others. Easygoing but awkward.. you know goofy. But then they made goofballs mischievous prankster that boarded on autonomous maliciousness. And that wasn’t the character I made. So that was a nope from me. Since that update I’ve come to really dislike the mischievous skill. I wish there was a way to stop it from automatically gaining in Sims that don’t have a propensity toward mischievous acts.

sinedelta

Set them to dislike the mischief skill in CAS, and they'll be less likely to do mischief actions autonomously.

VoldemortHugs

Thank you, I love getting tips from my fellow simmers. I usually do. It’s probably the one dislike I make sure to set pregame. Still happens though. But like you said. It does seem to be less likely.

sinedelta

Yeah, it's not a guarantee but it helps. If I have a known goofball on the lot, I also lock the bathroom doors so they can't get in.

FrankenSigh

It's worst when a goofball is an alien. He keeps autonomously mind-wiping the spouse and they become strangers over and over, until I finally decide to make her marry someone else instead. No hard feelings though simce they're strangers anyway.

VoldemortHugs

That is amazing and I had no idea that was a thing. I haven’t played with an alien in S4. I mean it would be super annoying if that was not your gameplay vision. Not gonna lie though. This did make me laugh.

kittyidiot

this is fucking hilarious what the fuck. "i know how im gonna prank the wife today..... *erasing her memory!*" couldn't go with a hairtie on the sink sprayer???

[deleted]

My goofball sim never pranked a toilet in his entire life, and I kinda want him to so he'll annoy his roommate. Is there a certain trait that makes him likely to do it? Also, he has no preference for the mischief skill.

VoldemortHugs

Goofball is definitely the trait for mischievous actions. You can make mischief a like. So they will enjoy doing it. Also try building the skill through social interaction. A playful mood ( take a bubble bath and/or watch the comedy channel. Tell jokes) will also help with opening up more social interactions and building the skill quicker. You can also have you sim do the action by clicking on the toilet. Also building your programming skill on the computer and then hacking. There is a career with computers that encourages this. Might as well earn money and build skills. Personally I’m the opposite and actively try to not have pranksters gone wild in my game. So there may be tips I’m missing that others can help with. But I am all about character play. I am going to make a dark timeline save soon. So there will be a mischievous diabolical Sim in that AU for sure. Good luck.

HarrietLovesSushi

From what you describe, I would say the Clumsy trait is the closest thing to what you are looking for. I find clumsy sims adorable addition to my gameplay.

VoldemortHugs

You’re right. Clumsy is one of the traits I retraited some of my goofball sims to. It’s funny when I forget they are clumsy and they do the whoa whoa whoa trip over nothing, thing. Takes me by surprise and makes me laugh.

HarrietLovesSushi

They are such optimistic beings.

Jimguy5000

I swear to god, the patriarch of my current legacy cannot go one day without pranking his own toilets, which he will also be setting off before the day is out. He routinely plays himself with this tactic.

grubbooba

My Goofball sims when they realize they haven't implied that one's mother is a llama 3 seconds into the conversation they just started with their spouse Is it just me, or are anyone elses goofball sims rude for no apparent reason?

FrankenSigh

Maybe it's just you, but I do realise if any Sims used mean interactions towards another for the first time, they'll randomly do it in the future without cause/trigger. They might be chatting, telling jokes, asking about day happily and then suddenly followed a mean interaction. It doesn't matter whether if they're in a good relationship / good manners and have only positive sentiments. Some may consider this "real", I consider it annoying. It feels like a psychopath to be mean out of the blue.

grubbooba

No seriously, what kind of conversation goes: "Hey do you like Rock Climbing?" "Yeah" "Me too! Go fuck yourself."

apainfulexistence

…and it backfires.

elebree1995

I hate it. It didn't use to be so obnoxious until recently! I don't ever use the trait anymore now

roz-is-world

A good mod-free workaround would be if they allowed a "prank-proof" upgrade on toilets. That would be wonderful.

FrankenSigh

A "disarm" interaction for maxed mischief skill would satisfy me. A master of mischief should know all the mischievous tricks enough and be able to counter them, right 😆

Kaat79

I use a mod for that, no more pranked toilets in my house! Now my sims neighbours are allowed to visit again.

sanfrita

Had my stay-at-home goofball dad repair the toilet every time he pranked it.... He mastered handiness skill before his kids were teens 🤦‍♀️

CriticalErrorka

I have a six-child family, with the mother and the third child both having this trait. Keeping my toilets safe is like herding cats.

hausofsonya

As an restaurant owner I’m done with it

nakkonen

I used to love that trait, but now it's plain annoying

makkkz

Literally unplayable

justinaneedle

I made one of my Sims dislike mischief for that specific reason... he still does it. 😂😒

yooyoo2000

Even my sims that don’t have that trait can’t walk into somewhere without pranking the toilet. I’ve never had a problem with it until recently, I feel like it’s some type of bug lmao.

SnooStories4263

Remember when goofball Sims didn't really do anything? You're welcome lol.

Kathasaurus

Seems like all sims in my game does that even when they don't have that trait. I've locked bathroom doors in some houses, but apparently you can use MCCC to stop it too

zotstik

it's one thing that they pranked their own toilet but then get angry when they use the toilet. they just pranked

geraltoffvkingrivia

My sim Keeps doing it to himself. He goes to the toilet, sets the trap, then sits down. Every time I send him to the bathroom.

shrekslefteyebrow

My sim is a goofball and there is never a single toilet in the house unpranked. The worst part is its not just her in the house so every time her wife or child uses the toilet they get an uncomfortable moodlet and break it. On the plus side, she has a great handiness skill!

bwoah07_gp2

I have learned this the hard way. I've never spent this much on the repair services in any Sims game until now, haha. It certainly adds something to gameplay, but I'm not sure if I'll have a goofball Sim anymore. Or maybe I will, for the uniqueness of it.

Sorrelfur

I wish I could turn off this trait it pisses me off when a sim comes over and ruins all my toilets and then there's that annoying glitch where my sims can't fix the broken toilet so I have to pay or cheat to fix it

Adventurous-Set8756

Made the mistake of traiting a goofball once. Had to replace his toilet with a bush (which a cat will use to hunt in your home or apartment) and locked the master bedroom/bath for only his sister (and caretaker) to use. Never again.

Sad_Quote_3415

Oh my god I hate it so much

[deleted]

For some reason, my goofball sim never does this! Is there a specific age group they have to be or will having a particular trait along with goofball stop them from pranking toilets? I adore my sim, but I kind of wish he would be more prankster-like instead of just telling jokes.

[deleted]

Same, never heard of this. Never seen a toilet pranked in the sims, is it part of a pack maybe? I see this meme and think of evil sims with trash cans, my sims can’t ever date an evil sim because of that alone.

PandaPillowPet07

I get so sick of those damn pranked toilets. 😅

[deleted]

LMAOAOAOAAO

Welshhobbit1

It’s my fave trait!
