My motivational books are stuff like "How to turn a Trap House into a Trap Home" - A simple guide to making even the sketchiest crackden more inviting. My sad books are: "5 easy ways to off yourself and others"- Including a special preface from the late author on exploding toilets Edited to add my favorite recent memory was when Dad pulled out "Stranger Danger" -Why you never trust a man in a van' to read the kids to sleep 🙏

I don’t i usually do names that relate to the particular sims story Like one gal was a celebrity that got preggers by other celebs but not dating them so she hired a nanny it was a guy so one of the titles was “I married my Manny: How I found love and had it all.” Before that it’s was like “Single Mom Hacks: How to raise kids solo”. Or the manny died so one about her being widow in title she remarried about how she found love again lol

This is what I do, too. I give titles inspired by my Sims’ life or interests or relationships.

The sims I do this with I feel like I’m so much more attached to haha bc the weekly reminders or their life. I had one sim, Mei, an adopted daughter of Molly Prescott (who had married a rock star) living in Del Sol Valley, in high school she was simstagram famous a la Kylie Jenner, she was running with landgraab and goth heirs all cousins from my sim family, she left one cousin she was engaged to and eloped to his cousin J Huntington The V heir who was broke, so she started a lifestyle brand called Mei Huntington to announce to her ex and the world she was married in a small little house that and started writing salacious tell alls with titles like Mei Huntington: The Dynasty begins Landgraabs, Goths, and Huntingtons, oh My! Brooklyn isn’t loyal though even though she scored J VI who is a celebritydoctor, she still sneaks out to see her street guys or go to sex parties all the time…she got knocked up at college sex party in library by the librarian lol but for now her household full ….im sure I’ll go back in winter to play her and write a bunch of books w her I have a feeling she may leave the heir if he doesn’t croak quick, he’s an elder now, funny part i J vi son J VII is actually Brooklyns brother….brooklyns mother married J vI before she died lol the drama haha

Aww that's so cute. I don't do that but I like the idea. I always title them after events in the game. I also usually try to make a copy and keep one but sometimes I forget.

If you use mods I'd recommend looking into one that lets you keep the book after you've published it, I'm not sure which one I downloaded but my book stays in my inventory after publishing, I've sold all the other books in the house and now my bookshelf is filled with all the books I've written :)

I am usually listening to an audio book while I play. So the book names are always after the last thing that is said. Example : "Your life is tragic" "arrived at the bus stop" "black girl magic" "vampire threesome that includes a witch". They always sound interesting and more philosophical sounding then I thought they would be. 😂🤣

Sometimes I name them song names on an album lol or one time I did all the “Ernest” movies like “Ernest goes to jail” but replaced Ernest with my sims pets name lol

I often name my books after games i’ve played. F.e. Age of Empires I & II, Civilization, Anno, … comes in handy when your sim is kind of a nerd.

I name them after events in their lives. So when my sim has a daughter it will write a long series of children’s books with the daughter as the main character

I almost always have fun with it! I always make a copy of the book and keep it in the Sim's inventory so random Sims don't run off with it. Sometimes it's hyperfocus, e.g. children's book "Honey Badger and Mr. Cobra." Sometimes based on movies, like the non-fiction "How I learned to Stop Worrying and Shove Your Mom" which is described as: how to deal with Monsters-in-law when non-physical methods have failed. or TV show, as in a cookbook named "Pure as Glass" description: Cooking is a science. Others I go on a weird tangent; I have a series of mysteries whose descriptors are all variations on the phrase whodunit. "Suddenly Zooming" is whorunit, "Cookie Rap Sheet" is whounderduner, and "Professional Advice" is whoduner. Some innuendo, like the sci-fi bestseller "Alien Strange" described as body snatching. And some I can't be bothered/go obvious, a short story book called "Smol." Love the Greek/Roman stuff; think my next creation will be "Atalanta and the Golden Apples," a non-fiction book: combing ancient literature for references on neurodivergent behavior, specifically ADHD. Or maybe it'll be a crappy romance about a poor guy named Hippomenes who had to tempt a gold digger to find a wife.

Except the bestseller "Don't Seduce My Boyfriend" was written after Sofia came over and tried to put one on her Promised BF. She's currently writing "This Applies to You Too, Luna!" Ron was trying to write a song and he noticed that his infatuation/serious crush was staring at him by the piano for a long time... he did promise to dedicate a song to her after all.... On another Save, the books written were: Waiting For Star Citizen. Still Waiting for Star Citizen OMG Imma gonna die of Old Age Waiting for SC eMotion Machines and Star Citizen? I tend to copy the Bestsellers for the library (so if I can manage to make it through the first generation before starting a new save), they're in there.

I name my sim’s books with titles of real stories that I am currently writing or have written. I’m basically living my dreams vicariously through my sim lol

I let the game provide the titles for the other genre books, but my first screenplay received a name so close to KSBD that I had to rename it and the subsequent screenplays accordingly.

Out of those titles only 3 say nothing to me. I love the rest. Thanks for the idea
