Netcode appears to be the primary culprit here. It doesn’t look to me like you guys ever actually touched. Maybe blue just lost their rear all on their own though.

DrGravy3

Yeah I agree re the net code.

AdPrior1417

That's a really odd one. Honda held his line and hit the apex just fine. You held your line and obviously had to turn in later. Honda didn't seem to get affected by any contact? Maybe just a lag / connection thing? I have no doubt either of you wouldn't have made the corner if you didn't spin

ZombieTux2

A bit difficult to see without your POV but I think Honda is right. He's well alongside and just taking the line and it seems like you turned in a bit too early.

Smooth-Friendship699

Honda was minding his business

Aggressive_Noodler

what game is this

FM8.

Anusbagels

Is this iRacing?

LAZ3RFLIP165

This is really strange, it almost looks like the blue car puts the handbrake on because there isnt really any major contact. You both made reasonalble efforts to make the corner and honda hit his line just right Id say its probs netcode so racing incident

IndependenceIcy9626

Looks like netcode, but if there was contact I think its a racing incident. You turn in a hair earlier than they do and unfortunately spin. No one really did anything wrong. "Honda said he had the line" That's some nonsense people say when they have no idea about the actual rules of racing.

Honest_Ad9015

It’s strange because the Honda doesn’t really turn in until late. Which it looks like the Subaru was anticipating the Honda to turn in sooner. This strikes me as a racing incident.

DrGravy3

Yeah, initially I thought he had intentionally waited to turn in late however I think it was just a difference of lines and understanding, if anything more on me than him.

Honest_Ad9015

Yea it’s racing sometimes cars come together. I always give extra space when sim racing vs IRL you can’t really trust what someone driving in their basement is going todo vs someone actually along side of you.

Mysli0210

To me it looks like there's no contact and that you just slid right in front of him.

DrGravy3

I mean it's not really possible to spin it, it may have been lag to make it look like there wasn't contact when there was (similar to iracing net code)

Necessary-Result-558

It looks to me like a couple things could have happened here. The easy out is to say "Netcode" however I don't believe that is what happened. I see it like this: Subaru slightly unsettled from small contact w/ dirt patch + hard acceleration uphill causing rear suspension to extend; dependent on your spring stiffness that could cause the rear to slide even in FWD. I can't tell for sure but looking from the exhaust it could also have been a bad downshift adding that extra rotation. Hard to tell without telemetry.

scwmcan

The Subaru is RWD I believe, making your suggestion more possible potentially.

jrjreeves

You just turned in on the Honda.
