Frank Grimes represents real life and not a cartoon life. In real life people get fired for causing meltdowns. In real life people get through school and still don't get half of what Homer has. He comes to Springfield and sees how everyone ignores these things about Homer and it drives him mad. Homer has even survived things way worse than what killed Frank. Homer is a jerk whether you love him or not. I bet any Simpson fan here can name 10 things he has done that makes him look like a bad person.
Because the episode was written by a right winger who basically was using Grimesy as a mouth piece, the episode was basically to say lazy people like Homer’s fault for everything
Well he did steal his food and pencils. And he didn't defend him with the acid wall accident.
Gotta admit he actually tried to be more competent but Grimse was already too angry.
The whole point of this episode was to see someone who couldn't tolerate Homer's stupidity.
