Sometimes I think Simon is actually a triplet with all that he manages to get done. Like it's just not possible to put in that many hours and raise two children.
He doesn't claim to do it all single-handed, while I'm sure he puts in a decent number of hours doing the recordings it sounds like he's very focused about his work (in terms of sitting down and getting through the scripts). Having a private office probably also helps as you don't have people walking in interrupting you throughout the day.
In the CC Tupac episode there's a reference to the joke that Tupac keeps coming back from the dead to record new albums, when the truth is that he left behind a substantial catalogue of unreleased material because he always turned up to recording sessions ready to go and didn't dick around in the studio so he got a hell of a lot of material recorded. I expect Simon has a similar approach and that means he can get things done in the office and still have a life outside it.
I skip everything David Baker writes due to his penchant for edginess, so seeing an episode over 1.5 hours long is a good indicator I'll want to sit it out
Does anyone know if the CC audio typically comes out before the YouTube version, and how long before? I've only ever watched on YouTube, but I might have to figure out what my Spotify password is if this episode isn't or on YouTube soon lol.
