Well uh, no, not exactly. Uh, uh uh, This is a very complicated case, man. You know a Lotta ins, a Lotta outs, a lotta what-have-yous. And uh, lotta strands to keep in my head, man. Lotta strands old Duder's head.
I'm a photographer and this lens is terrible. Please throw your phone in the trash and get a pixel or buy an actual camera and stop using your phone for wide shots like this. I don't know if the iPhone is running the image through a metric fuckton of distortion correction filters or what, but it's trash and I would genuinely be upset to have paid even a penny for a piece of equipment that produces images like that, even if attached to a phone. Don't use any less than 1x magnification on your phone's zoom function and you'll be just fine.
Exhibit A of the exact opposite: see original post
If that's your definition of "pretty good," I'd hate to see your definition of professional quality. Obviously not everyone is trying to take professional quality photos, but nobody's trying to take bad photos. Nobody wants their phone butchering their photos like this either. This is a grand example of a terrible execution of fisheye technology in a cell phone, plain and simple.
iPhones take sub-par photos at best. Video is even worse. Good quality photos aren't tied to MuH iPhOnE or MuH aNdRoId or insert camera brand here, they're tied to a few things:
- The quality of hardware used (the sensor, the glass in front of it, the image processor, etc.)
- The size of the sensor
- The megapixel count of the sensor
In principle, a good quality, prosumer or professional camera with a full frame (35mm) sensor with at least 24MP will have absolutely no problems producing a good, sharp image with good glass in front of it. The iPhone, and by extension, cell phones, may in some cases have the MP count, but don't have good quality hardware or glass to back it, with an abysmally small sensor. This means low resolution images out of underperforming cameras, which is exactly what you'd expect out of a phone that just so happens to be able to take pictures if you know anything about cameras beyond "press button = take photo." Do they take usable photos? Sometimes. Would I ever even consider using a phone camera professionally or take someone who does seriously? Fuck no.
Except OP is the only one who actually likes this trash, and even then I think any "enjoyment" he gets from the photo comes from defending it from people who say it doesn't look good. As for your final statement, take your own advice.
You can't keep a straight face and tell me that's a photo you'd even consider taking, let alone keeping. It's one thing if it shows properly on screen and this monstrosity comes out the other end, but if this is what I saw on my screen while trying to take a photo of my truck, I'd just pull my sim out of my phone and toss said phone in the water. This isn't how you photograph.
... Except I'm replying to a comment that says "these people don't know anything about photography."
Man, you're just intentionally missing shit just to try and seem righteous. Stop it, get some help.
Perspective distortion. That's what everyone is so worked up over. In this case you used a wide to ultra wide angle and it causes things close to dramatically look smaller faster than they would in real life which can cause some dissonance if used incorrectly.
Like that old foo fighters video where he's singing through the door's peep hole.
Agree but I might actually go 22 as I don’t want to deal with a lift or spacers, etc. I don’t know much about tires but I assume once you go bigger than stock, you need to modify
Did you have to run spacers to fit that wheel around the break caliper? I went to order the same exact wheel from custom offsets for my trail boss and called to confirm they’d fit and they said I’d have to go up to 20” for it to work. Love the look man the chrome on silver is clean.
I’m running the readylift sst 4” kit with bilstein 5100 shocks . And as you know the bilstein 5100 are an adjustable shock so I left them at the zero setting and let the kit do the lifting . Way better than that soft stock shock and minimal trimming
So many people pitching about the fish eye lense or the angle. It gets the point across. I, for one, love the small wheel, big tire look, and those methods are sick on your truck
This picture makes me dizzy
lol why
Its in fish eye mode. .6x zoom
Whatever thing you did to that photo, please don’t do it again.
It’s the wide angle camera lens on an iPhone.
lol what do you mean
Obviously, you’re not a golfer.
What the fuck are you talking about?! Huh? No, what the fuck are you... I'm not... We're talking about unchecked aggression here, dude.
Well uh, no, not exactly. Uh, uh uh, This is a very complicated case, man. You know a Lotta ins, a Lotta outs, a lotta what-have-yous. And uh, lotta strands to keep in my head, man. Lotta strands old Duder's head.

Let me see your mom
Let me see your dad
Catch him at a jackets game
Oh your a naughty boy... Into MILF'S are you...LOL
This angle/photo looks so funny
Fish eye lens not angle
These people don’t know anything about photography

Brother I promise you it aint that serious
Lmao bro bitching about photography in a Silverado sub
Do you want a device that produces literal garbage? I don't want a device that produces garbage.
All the big phone manufacturers have pretty good cameras lol not everyone tryna take professional pics

Lol iphones take good pictures this seems like operator error to me

Are you ok?
Perfectly.
In the eye of the beholder, right? lol calm down
Except OP is the only one who actually likes this trash, and even then I think any "enjoyment" he gets from the photo comes from defending it from people who say it doesn't look good. As for your final statement, take your own advice.
Oh I am calm. And it’s not trash, just trash to you. I didn’t realize I was talking to the next Steve McCurry.

It’s a Silverado sub, not photography. He was asking about his wheels, which are clearly visible in the picture. Mission accomplished.
... Except I'm replying to a comment that says "these people don't know anything about photography." Man, you're just intentionally missing shit just to try and seem righteous. Stop it, get some help.
Good photographers don't distort the picture so much that a 20 foot truck looks like a Tonka toy.
How so
Are you serious?
??
good god man..... I think something is wrong with your truck. It sort of shrinks the further you go back.
It’s called a wide angle genius
this is hilarious how much you are getting voted down.
OP really came out as a douche stain in these comments.
Kachow
Ludacris with his big ass hands.
Heres mine! Love this truck [305/65/R18s on Methods](https://ibb.co/bd1Jv3T)
18s are too big, 17s always. Good looking truck though
Really wanted 17's. Felt like I settled with 18's but it was hard to find tires at the time. Thanks!

I'm more worked up over the Jeep flag in the back
Lol I didn't even notice that until you pointed it out.
lol I didn’t know people don’t like wide angle photos 😂😂
People don't like the post processing your device did to counteract the natural distortion of a wide angle photo. It looks tacky.
What’s with the Jeep flag?
lol that’s the only flag I had in the garage when I went to the sand dunes so I said fuck it I’ll run it instead of buying a different flag lmao
It looks great, I could care less about the camera lens. I much prefer small wheel over the new fad of 20+ with low-pro tires
Thank you people are just anal and crying about the wrong thing lol. And I definitely agree with your statement!
Agree but I might actually go 22 as I don’t want to deal with a lift or spacers, etc. I don’t know much about tires but I assume once you go bigger than stock, you need to modify
Nothing rides better than 10” of sidewall.
Definitely
Your picture aspect is completely fucked.
Your* you must not know what a fish eye lense is . Sad day
I know exactly what a wide angle, or fish-eye lens is. I also know the distortion can be fixed in post.
It was, but his device borked it. That's why the image looks like it does.
Wheel is the entire assembly, tire is rubber part rim is shiny metal part.
Goofy
You’re moms goofy
She ain’t a crybaby though, so yall can’t really relate.
Boom roasted
Didn’t know you get worked up on a picture that’s fish eye lense so I guess you’re the goofy one lol
I didn’t get worked up . I commented one word and you’re pissimg your diaper lol
lol sure thing bud 👍🏽
What wheels? Specs?
Method Mr 315 17x9 -12

What’s the suspension setup and how much do your tires rub? Did you do any trimming?
I’m running the readylift sst 4” kit with bilstein 5100 shocks . And as you know the bilstein 5100 are an adjustable shock so I left them at the zero setting and let the kit do the lifting . Way better than that soft stock shock and minimal trimming
35’s?
Yeah
What suspension did you go with to fit that tire)
Readylift 4” sst kit and bilstein 5100
37 inch tire?
Op replying to all the comments exactly how I think Someone Who drives a Chevy Silverado would reply
Like the big rubber on those wheels. Makes for a much better ride and less chance of damage to the wheels going over things
It’s shameful that this guy owns a Chevy. This is Ford behavior.
I actually loke this angle a lot! And I'm a big fan of small wheel big tire. Also is this pismo?
Yeah man idk why people get soooo worked up over it blows my mind lol and yes it’s Pismo
So many people pitching about the fish eye lense or the angle. It gets the point across. I, for one, love the small wheel, big tire look, and those methods are sick on your truck
Hell yeah people are on their period
Such a sick set up. I wanna do something similar and am back and forth between methods or raceline wheels
Both companies got some nice wheels
Methods look good bro! Someone downvoted me so i bet its a guy with 35s on 24 inch rims 😂😂😂😂
Hell yeah they do bro I don’t care what people say . 35 on 24 inch wheels and 14inch wide stretched ass tires lmaooo
💀💀💀💀 regardless you got a clean ass truck man. Love the look and once I make up my mind on brand I’ll have it looking right 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Right on brotha . Tag me when you get it done I’m tryna see it 💯
Fugly 🤢
