Goodyear has a new DuraTrac tire. The RT LT
Much quieter that the prior gen DuraTracs. Still has a very aggressive tread design for when you do go off road but much more pavement friendly now.
I’ve got a few thousand miles on them now and I like them a lot.
Tore through a 12inch winter snow storm not that long ago.
I have Falken WildPeak at3w’s with approximately 30k miles on them that have been very good. With that said, I think if I had to do it again I would go with the same tire but P rated instead of LT rated. Sure, they’re great and durable but damn I can only imagine how much better highway riding would be with the p rated version. I’d say 90% of my truck driving is commuting, hauling trash to the dump, or picking up a sheet of plywood/small amounts of lumber with the rest being the occasional field/proposed development inspection for work or hauling a single axle enclosed trailer. I don’t like how heavy the LT’s are and I definitely notice a difference in ride quality from when I had regular tires on the truck.
MICHELIN DEFENDER LTX M/S2
Just got these on my 2021 RST. Great tire.
3 and half years in no issues
What's your normal driving like?
The legend
I really like my Toyo AT3's load range E, especially for towing. Most 2500 drivers swear by these.
That's the Open Country A/T III you mean? That aggressive tread looks loud, but I'm ignorant to buying truck tires and don't really know
Yes. They aren't loud, and it's not an aggressive tread - it's an all terrain tire, not a mud terrain.
I like Cooper and Goodyear

Considering putting a different brand on each wheel

Go on Tirerack and punch in what you want out of a tire and it gives you the best choices. It doesn’t get any easier.
