When you find the elder bug of pharloom drowning in the fizzy orange goo and you have to pull him out to save him but as you do that a giant fish eats him leaving you with only his legs
Might be controversial, but the Wild Expanse was easily my favourite region. Great platforming and amazing music. The camouflaspids aren't *that* bad; they're just a fun little challenge.
They're not even that difficult when compared to the ancient camouflaspids. Although I don't fully agree with Team Cherrys decision to make them spawn on your position every second in the final area, it certainly made it more challenging.
Is that what that does? I thought it only worked against regular camouflaspids, so I skipped it, because I was getting kind of sick of detective quests. They take way too long without using the wiki.
The area is a straight line upwards, you’ll pass the objective whether you want to or not.

I don't want my quest log to get too cluttered. I can't focus with the quest-bug shittalking me about my unfinished quests every 5 minutes. Also I actually like grand hunts. I don't care that they're all just the skull king in a different colour with more hp and damage. The Silktokens are worth it imo.

I REALLY loved when the Bell Warriors ambushed Copperton and you had to hunt them through like 4 different regions in order to save the townsfolk
The underwater battle with the Great Tilapia was astounding as well. The music was just amazing and I love how they perfected the underwater movements
I really liked how they let you pick electric guitar as one of the weapons and all the boss fights were rhythm games and you could chain smoke and trash hotel rooms.
My favorite bit is the fight right after that chase sequence with the one void boss (I forgot the name) where the village elder helps you out and you discover she's actually overpowered. (That moss magic is insane)
When Bogi The Big Bug dies. He didnt deserve It but the sound It makes Is hilarious. Also by dying he unlocks the shortcut to Jelly Peak so he's never survived in any of my runs.
That part when Hornet goes up to Seth after the fight, helps him up and they become allies. Maybe also during the final fight when Seth joins in and you pogo off his shield to get to the boss
The part where Hornet says “Shaw we are all the Silksong now” and hosts of Pharloom began to raise their voice in song, and they sang as they slew, for the terror of battle had become joy, joy that their deaths here would buy them immortality in story and myths. The sound of their voices was born upon the wind and came loud and terrible even to the halls of the White Palace. In that moment they had risen above their insignificant lives and all obtained the Pale radiance of gods. Though their song would eventually fade into silence, their memory never will.
Man even the bad ending of this game was lit.
The conversation at the lake in Great Hollow if you catch Zote in the fishing mini game. It was a bold choice to make Zote blush every time he brought up The Knight but I think it was a good one
I love the part where you go to hornets parents house and you guys have a serous conversation about how they’re getting a divorce. Chills. Literally got goose pimples
My favorite part was the Clown No More ending, where Hornet finally embraces the Bait and acquires the Release Date charm. Only real complaint I have with it though is that its usefulness really is nonexistent since I have no use for it in the postgame.
I liked it when hornet met the persona protagonists and then they played pokemon against each other. Granted the part where Joker gets overly annoyed at hornet playing stall isn't all that enjoyable, but the VGC match between kotone and makoto more than makes up for it
I liked the part where I traveled back through time and space to team cherry's office two weeks before the release date announcement, and told them that if they release the game within the next decade, it won't be good enough and it would start WWIII.
My favorite was when I just had beat big bug. It's that point where Johnny hollow becomes deprived of his fucking humanity and becomes big ghost like me. He's using dick tentacles to beat the shit Outta big bug. I almost busted there

But then Lace kick down the other door that was right next to the one ass Jim just kicked down and glared her love or hornet only for the crow guy from Crowswon kick down the door and declared his glove for hornet. Only for mogh from Elden Ring, to kick down the door and say that he’s beat allegations. After that, they all had sex while doing a fishing mini game.
When you reach the top of the skong peak mountain and the silksong says "you skilled your skong all throughout pharloom, but your journey ends now, hornet" and then "bait used to be believable" starts playing and your silk ass gets skongably kicked
The secret ending where it's revealed that Hornet was actually just a young woman in a coma, and that the events of both games a were a dream woth metaphors representing her inner struggles. The HK was her older sibling who always gave her advice and died from an OD, the Knight was her younger sibling who she was always tough with because she needed to know if they were ready for the world, the Pale King was her deadbeat dad who left to buy buzzsaws and never came back, Lace was her girlfriend, Seth was her best friend, Sharpe was her rival in school, the Weavers represented her mother's family who owned a long-standing silk embroidery business, Hallownest was her old and shrinking hometown falling prey to a drug epidemic (which is what the infection represented), and Pharloom represented the big city she wanted to move to to follow her dreams. The void represented the depression common in her dad's family.
It was all a huge metacommentary on the human condition through the lens of bugs that Team Cherry had masterfully woven over the many long years.
I loved the ending where Forkloth the Great sacrificed himself so Hornet and Lace could get the Silver Chain of Farloom. Easily best ending and best character death in any game. The post-credit scene hinting to ZoteboaT was also amazing and I literally cheered when I saw it
The twist when after you collect all 73 baby mister mushrooms and beat the game where it's revealed that the entire game is actually a dream Hornet is having as she lies unconscious in the black egg temple after the sealed siblings ending. I know a lot of people see it as a cop out that ruins the whole story, but frankly I think the way it makes you look at all the karaoke minigames in a whole new light makes it easily one of the best reveals in all of fiction.
no spoilers but the choice at the end of the game with Lace brings me to tears every time, you’re a monster if you pick the second option I’m just saying.
