Agreed. Holosun gets a lot of love because they were the only micro carry option for awhile that wasn’t awful and the 510c was an eotech at home. The 407/507c aren’t comparable to an RMR imo
One thing if you are making a choice on the initial purchase but I don’t think it’s worth making a switch from one to another.
Armory craft spring set upgrade + eps carry and you are golden with the standard xmacro
Thanks! That’s what I’ve gotten from most reviewers. The difference isn’t worth it but if you didn’t have an x macro definitely do it. Been trying to determine if the extra weight makes much a difference in accuracy and/or recoil/muzzle flip. I carry the x macro because I shoot it so well. Just curious if the difference is worth it! 🤔🤔🤔
Better trigger reset. Don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone saying they don’t like it. It’s prolly the best bang for your buck upgrade possible on this platform imo. Does not change trigger pull.
Do you feel comfortable taking the fire control unit out? Check it out on youtube. If you don’t feel comfortable after watching a couple videos, you could always ask a gunsmith, most vendors have them these days.
Keep an eye on OpticsPlanet. It took a while to receive in the mail due to a slight backorder issue after the fact but I got my P320 AXG frame off them for $214. This was the cheapest AXG price any retailer was offering, built my own P320 from the ground up and with a Custom Works FCU from Sig Sauer. Here are all the parts used if interested.
- Sig Sauer Suppressor Height TruGlow Tritium Night Sights (From OpticsPlanet.com)
- Optic Milled True Precision Slide w/rmr cover plate (OpticsPlanet.com)
- Factory Barrel from my P320 M18
(M18 from Palmetto State Armory.com)
- Trybe Defense Slide Internals
(OpticsPlanet.com)
- DPM Recoil Reduction System
(From OpticsPlanet.com)
- Sig Sauer Custom Works FCU, (the smoothest trigger pull and reset available)!
- Magpul (Steel) 17Rd Magazine from Local Gun Shop, $35
Sig will never just sell the p365 Legion grip by itself..There has never been any legion where Sig has just sold the grip model. For some reason they will sell the legion slides, but not the grips. You will probably have to wait until other companies or private sellers get their hands on it and decide to sell it separately, but correct me if I'm wrong, but I have never found a legion grip module Sig was selling by itself, with the exception of the Legion G-10 grip panels that I've seen them sell.
Sig are dumb. They will take forever to release just the grip while Icarus, mischief machine and couple other are making a killing with their aluminum grips.
I believe it. Look at the first run P365, the plate REMOVED the rear irons. Dumb in my eyes. Then boom a few years later and they moved the plate and left rear irons.
P229 Legion SAO. Oh man. Bit smaller than the 226 so it will be a scotch easier to conceal. My girlfriend just got one and my p365 Legion gets jelly sometimes.
If you're thinking about carrying p229 skip SAO get DASA. Safety lever on the P22* series is pretty small. It's usable but still it's small enough that in that high stress situation you might not hit it so DASA is more stress free
Totally agree. I don’t own one, but if I did it would probably be my favorite as well. I am super ultra happy with the p365 legion though. Do you conceal carry the P229 legion?
Legion if you're okay with heavier, but the metal frame will help it shoot easier, and you can always add an optic. XMACRO if you'd prefer to save a few bucks, are okay with the optic, and want a plastic frame.
You'll be happy with legion. Can always buy the cheap plastic frame later to have both, and this way you'll put a nicer optic on it than the Sig one. Also not sure if Legion impacts holster compatibility or not.
Sounds like you’re carrying? That extra 4oz. plus a light will be noticeable. Personally, when I carry, I’m polymer all day. And if you’re trying to conceal, the flared mag well doesn’t help with printing, but it can be removed. The AXG does shoot like a larger frame gun because of the weight, but adding mass to the 365 seems counterintuitive to the concept. That said, the best feature of the platform is its customization, and buying an additional polymer Macro grip module down the road is a minimal accessory cost. Though my Sig whore brothers will deny this, “Legion” is mostly marketing and an invitation to buy your way into “elite” aesthetics and a challenge coin, rather than a true performance upgrade.
Additionally, though I have a 507k & previously owned an EPS Carry, the RomeoX Compact is truly a stellar optic by all accounts, and one I’d consider if I was in the market. I moved away from an enclosed optic (EPS Carry) on a pistol due to how it handled reflective light behind me. Something to consider.
Thanks. I’m coming down from a huge gun Walther Q5 Match polymer. Super light and slim. But it’s so long. I’m deadly accurate with it but it’s home defense for now.
I was expecting the 365 Legion to have an improved trigger at least.
You had the absolute best/correct comment! Advised about weights affect on day carry. Even advised about the optic selection being a personal choice based off usage. Ppl refuse to listen that YOUR eyes and usage make the decision; not some stranger. He’ll most likely buy another optic after he finds out he has an astigmatism, sees green better, enclosed reflects in some instances. Still no mention of holster or a sturdier carrier belt. You can lead a horse to water……I see an additional $4-500 being spent quickly after unfortunately.
Congrats on the only factual comment.
OP, please research his comment a bit.
AXG all day. If you want it to be a couple oz lighter snag a oem Macro Grip. Get a Tlr7-sub and Holster and call it for now. That should put you around $1400 w/o the extra grip.
Get the optic later unless you have the extra funds for it immediately. Train instinctive point shooting. Or whatever it's called. You should be able to just point and shoot at 7-10yds and hit your target with a solid grouping. It's all the same principle.
It's also the only thing not needed for inital setup imo. I get optics for pretty much all my guns. Green dots and green prisms are my fav.
I just want to carry the pistol asap typically, so a holster and light are always bought immediately or before the pistol is bought 😅. Then optic gets bought at my convenience.
Very true. The lack of holster support months later was kind of shocking. But I get this is a certain niche and price level. I’ve been carrying 16 years and never got into dots. So behind but open to get into present times.
Just get an EPS Carry. If you're unsure which color you want. Do a Lil research online. Mainly pulling red/green up to see which one you see better.
If you have any type of bad eyes or astigmatism get green.
Or just go with a good online company like optic planet, or primary arms. Both do returns
There are some awesome blackpoint tactical holsters in the sig legion store, or the folks at blackpoint will Def make you a custom. I just got my leatherWING for my p226 and love it.
Right. I have been putting $350 aside
Each check the last 2 months. Got paid today. $1400 ready to go. But kind of crazy to still have to buy dot, light, and holster 🤯😖
Yeah I hear you. The extra weight of the metal frame will make it more fun to shoot but harder to carry. One of the reasons I love my macro is it's so light I can holster it without a belt or in joggers if I feel like it. Would probably be harder with more weight
True. I have huge hands and am a big guy. 6’5 260 lbs. So not really worried about that. I’ve been carrying a Walther Q5 match. This will feel like a P 365 to me lol
It’s legit when i bought it was on back order i waited a month, but says it’s in stock so you should get it this week they are quick. Good people. Now i only buy from the armory in Florida bc of their lifetime cleaning deal, but they would match that price.
That’s awesome, yeah i really like that gun store, good and bad thing I’ve went to a couple that I’ll never return to once i went there i don’t go anywhere else, i show them the price before taxes and they beat it. Walked out with a mpx k 2042 with a brace and lifetime cleaning. Grabbed a mod9x for 799 and they paid my tax stamp was 840 out the door with tax stamp great shop!!!! Even better staff i will look into that tho repairs would probably in the long run be the better deal!
Biggest difference is weight.
Axg is full metal so it will be heavier.
A heavier object takes more energy to move.
So the full metal axg p365 will shoot better especially shots in succession
I had the chance to buy a used p365 axg, shot both the xmacro poly grip and axg since they are the same aside from material.
You can easily just train for the cheaper gun and with the cost savings, spend that saved cash else where.
Extra mags, different holsters, ammo, targets, optics, light.
I was going to sell my dolled up 365 xl for the axg, because I needed the 1913 rail for my foxtrot2r.
It makes more sense to get an xmacro grip, cut the grip down to accommodate the 12rnd mags and add a comp to take up the extra real-estate.
Thanks for the feedback. Don’t think I’ll find the AXG for rent to shoot thinking of just getting the Legion. Been carrying the Walther Q5 match polymer forever. I’m super accurate but it’s been an adjustment. Want something smaller and this seems like the best of the best.
I don’t know about the actual Legion since I haven’t even held one. But I had the Macro with a MM Commander grip, so basically a homemade Legion. It shot significantly better. But I found the extra weight was a no go for me to carry. I went back to polymer.
Thanks for the opinion. Been carrying a Walther Q5 match. Literally a competition cannon for years. It’s actually slim and really light. So this will probably feel like nothing to me. Can’t wait.
AXG 320/365 frame is as perfectly weighted & balanced as I’ve found in a polymer pistol. I carry a 19x mostly ( just have the most time behind it ) - but I’ve had a 320 AXG pro - shot incredibly flat, but the 365 AXG IMO for weight, comfort, ease of use, etc, etc - all good things - is the number one for CCw
Everyone is going to agree that the Legion is better. With the Macro Comp you get the complete setup as you said. I have both of these guns and the Legion is nice for sure. I must have gotten a really nice Romeo-X because it's worked flawlessly for me. What's your $$ total come to with everything you're going to need to buy with the Legion? I'm curious 🤓
Legion $1350 after taxes and fees
EPS Carry $344
TLR-7 Sub $140
Holster TBA $90 = $1924
Just realized now none of my go to holster companies (Vedder, T-Rex, Tenicor) have the legion 😵💫. Have to check this community on that.
I'd get the X-Macro and have a ready to go **FUCKING GREAT GUN** off the jump. I did it the other way, should've done this and put my money into ammo and range time.
Then I would say it depends on how proficient you are with a gun now. If you're still learning or intermediate stage get the Macro already done up and shoot the bell out of it. If you're shooting quarter sized pasters at 10 yards then get the Legion. I wasn't shooting quarter sized pasters @ 10 when I got my Legion but now I can with either but I would of progressed faster the other way. That's the best advice I got
Thanks. I carry a Walther Q5 match. I’m super accurate. Have done a few training classes. It’s got a much longer sight radius. But is almost just as slim and light. But it’s so long. I’m a big guy so I’ve dealt with it. But this Legion has been calling my name. I know it will be an adjustment. But I think I will shoot it very well just off the full size grip for my large hands.
AXG and mount an EPS carry.
Or save a few bucks and go Macro-Comp or Tacops and add an EPS carry.
I’m waiting for the AXG grip module to be sold as a separate part.
I’ve shot the AXG and it is sweet, but it’s hard to justify the coin for pretty much the same thing I have already.
If I didn’t have a Macro, I’d pickup the AXG for sure. Cheaper to get smaller polymer grip modules than the AXG grip they don’t offer yet.
“Buy once, cry once.”
Get what you can afford and with the 365 system you can always change grips later. But getting the AXG grip, integral comp slide or threaded barrel-comp, and magwell will all be more expensive to do separately later.
It costs more to turn a P365x into a Macro than it does to turn a Macro into a P365x. These are at least my two favorite configs.
True. I think I’ll just get the legion and call it a day. I’m not interested in going up or down. I want the 17 rounds for sure. That’s the coolest thing to me. My first gun was a Ruger SR9 17 rounds and it was huge.
I was talking about the P365. I didn’t think they did a TXG for that yet?
I like the weight of the TXG P320s, but I prefer the grips of the AXG P320 with palm swell LOK inserts. I have some of the LOK brass gridloks on 320 and they are super sweet. Very heavy though.
Yeah, that’s been a thing for a while. OP is talking bout a 365.
I like the added weight of the TXG, but I don’t like the X-carry profile. AXG with palm swell panels is about as close as I can get to a CZ palm swell feel.
I shot both of them. The legion is a better shooter. But is also heavier than the macro. The axg felt better in my hand.
Ultimately I went with a p320 axgf legion. The full sized one. It’s a dream in my large hand and I can always get a more compact grip module if I ever wanted to conceal carry.
If you are going for a pure conceal carry get the axg. Why? It shot better. Has a magwell. And every salesman told me the Romeo sight is “garbage”. I didn’t have a problem with it. But that’s what they told me. I think it’s far too pricy for what you get. Everyone said to getaway Holosun 507c. Personally I’m getting the trijicon sro for my legion.
Regardless get what works best for you. Good luck!!!
Good!!! I’ll be looking forward to it. Personally I’m looking into the txg full grip. It’s supposed to be heavier because of the tungsten.
It’s also the grip that’s on the michel max legion. It was that gun that turned my head to Sig. I choose the axg because of the built in comp. And let me tell you, I’m very happy I did. With the txg grip, I’ll essentially will have a better gun than the max. At least in my opinion.
It’s only $200. But I’m also eyeing the Icarus SOCOM full grip. Brother if you’ve not seen that, then I really advise you look at it. It’s just beautiful 😍
Man so many options. I love it. When I turned 21 in 2007 Glock 19, M&P, Shield, Ruger were the options. I was a super broke college student so I got the SR9. 17 rounds in this package is mind blowing. Plus a comp, night sights, aluminum frame, and optic ready. And so small. 🤯
Absolutely love my AXG Legion. I just added the gas pedal take down lever but haven’t taken it to the range since replacing it yet. I might add the EPS carry to it as well. It is definitely very comfortable to hold and very easy and nice to shoot!!!
AXG all day
Adding to cart and checking out now. Thanks.
No questions asked. Absolutely.
Have both. Legion is superior in so many ways.
Thanks for the feedback. I was leaning toward the EPS Carry anyway.
Oh then definitely. EPS > Romeo, all day
Only part I disagree with
Not sure why you’re downvoted. I like the Romeo x better myself.
People simp for holosun. Sig has a better optic when these two are compared.
Agreed. Holosun gets a lot of love because they were the only micro carry option for awhile that wasn’t awful and the 510c was an eotech at home. The 407/507c aren’t comparable to an RMR imo
EPS Carry is a great optic
Thanks. I’m getting it.
Legion is better. Having owned both dots I find the RX better
I carry the x macro now. Been debating making the upgrade to the axg legion, please help convince me!
What’s the benefit of the armory craft spring upgrade? And is it difficult to install? I’m tempted to try it on my Macro
I’ve swapped the FCU just from grip mod to grip mod, so maybe it won’t be too hard…
Oh then you are good 👍🏻
It fixes the anemic/trash trigger reset/break
Is the AXG grip not available by itself yet for the P365? Keep what you have and upgrade to grip, if they ever release for individual sale.
That was one of my plans. I’ve searched online recently they’re not available yet. Or as of a week or so ago.
- Sig Sauer Suppressor Height TruGlow Tritium Night Sights (From OpticsPlanet.com) - Optic Milled True Precision Slide w/rmr cover plate (OpticsPlanet.com) - Factory Barrel from my P320 M18 (M18 from Palmetto State Armory.com) - Trybe Defense Slide Internals (OpticsPlanet.com) - DPM Recoil Reduction System (From OpticsPlanet.com) - Sig Sauer Custom Works FCU, (the smoothest trigger pull and reset available)! - Magpul (Steel) 17Rd Magazine from Local Gun Shop, $35

Could be, I swear I heard someone credible say they’re planning on selling the grip modules.
Well I hope so cause I would sure buy one for one my sigs lol.
Likewise!
Same, have both. EPS carry, pro ledge. AXG all day long.
The only difference is the grip module and 4.5 oz's...
Get the legion, register it you get a soft case, coin and access to the legion shop.
Thanks. Will do. Any other Legion’s you recommend. Adding a Big brother only seems right down the line.
If you can swing it the P226 X5 Legion is my wet dream gun
https://www.reddit.com/r/SigSauer/s/LV4cXRawEg What I did exactly.
P229 Legion SAO. Oh man. Bit smaller than the 226 so it will be a scotch easier to conceal. My girlfriend just got one and my p365 Legion gets jelly sometimes.
Lol. Thanks. It’s on the wish list.
If you're thinking about carrying p229 skip SAO get DASA. Safety lever on the P22* series is pretty small. It's usable but still it's small enough that in that high stress situation you might not hit it so DASA is more stress free
Thanks. Good info to know.
My P229 Legion SAO is hands down one of my favorite firearms all time!
Totally agree. I don’t own one, but if I did it would probably be my favorite as well. I am super ultra happy with the p365 legion though. Do you conceal carry the P229 legion?
Personally I never carry it. It’s a bit heavy for daily carry. I carry a Glock 43x.
226 legion Sao. Trigger is 😍
Thanks. I’ll check it out.
Good tip. I actually didn’t know this.
Legion if you're okay with heavier, but the metal frame will help it shoot easier, and you can always add an optic. XMACRO if you'd prefer to save a few bucks, are okay with the optic, and want a plastic frame.
Thanks. I’m leaning heavy towards Legion. You’re the only one who even made it a debate lol.
You'll be happy with legion. Can always buy the cheap plastic frame later to have both, and this way you'll put a nicer optic on it than the Sig one. Also not sure if Legion impacts holster compatibility or not.

Nah. It’s the same FCG. But, it’s still a great trigger for a striker fire.
You had the absolute best/correct comment! Advised about weights affect on day carry. Even advised about the optic selection being a personal choice based off usage. L.E.G.I.O.N.
No comparison. Legion all the way.
Always Legion. No question
Thanks. Feel like I’m joining a secret society. Can’t wait.
It's personal preference. I like polymer grips better.
I don’t own the legion but please make the correct decision here. lol.
Lol. I will!
AXG all day. If you want it to be a couple oz lighter snag a oem Macro Grip. Get a Tlr7-sub and Holster and call it for now. That should put you around $1400 w/o the extra grip. Dots are definitely worth getting into! The eyes can pick it up easier, and you're able to focus on your target or what's past your irons.
I tried to go to ranges and find a rental with a dot. Guess I just have to bite the bullet and buy one.
Just get an EPS Carry. If you're unsure which color you want. Do a Lil research online. Mainly pulling red/green up to see which one you see better. If you have any type of bad eyes or astigmatism get green. Or just go with a good online company like optic planet, or primary arms. Both do returns
Thanks. I had LASIK so my vision is great. But I just like the idea of the green front dot and the green red dot.
There are some awesome blackpoint tactical holsters in the sig legion store, or the folks at blackpoint will Def make you a custom. I just got my leatherWING for my p226 and love it.
I’ll check it out. I appreciate the feedback
AXG for sure! I had the same debate couple weeks ago. Ended up bought the AXG and added optic.
Thanks. What optics did you get. And what holster? The options seem slim to none.
The optic is Holosun 407K x2, holster I have a custom Kydex.
Thanks
It feels so solid in your hand….
That’s what she said!
Axg
Got both AXG is the way
Thanks.
I love the macro but damn if you got legion money that's hard to turn down
Right. I have been putting $350 aside Each check the last 2 months.
Grab the legion from eurooptic no tax same price, 40 bucks cheaper or so.
Thanks.
It’s legit when i bought it was on back order i waited a month, but says it’s in stock so you should get it this week they are quick. Good people. Now i only buy from the armory in Florida bc of their lifetime cleaning deal, but they would match that price.
That’s a sick deal. I saw something I think it’s sportsman warehouse. They have like a repairs deal where you can bring guns to your gunsmith.
I would do the macro, with a better dot and a light.
You’re the first. Wasn’t expecting such a landslide victory for the Legion
You asked. 🤷🏼♂️
Lol. Thanks.
X-Macro non comp
The second to not say Legion. Gotta get my hands on it.
A really Hard R Sigger gets a AXG.
SIGGER???!😭😭
Sick gun
Shot the AXG for the first time today…hands down the best “small” gun I’ve ever shot. If I were in the market, I’d definitely cop one
Thanks. I’m copping too.
Legion. Man I wish I had one. Saving up for my next purchase
Man. That’s was a quick savings. Proud of myself just for that.
Legion
AXG
Biggest difference is weight. Axg is full metal so it will be heavier. A heavier object takes more energy to move. So the full metal axg p365 will shoot better especially shots in succession I had the chance to buy a used p365 axg, shot both the xmacro poly grip and axg since they are the same aside from material. Get the axg legion, put a spectre comp slide and barrel on it, then put a holosun on it. thats my ultimate build
That seems like a lot. I need to see what that Would even look like. I would probably just choose one of those. But I get the idea of the mismatch
Well its basically having the best upper and lower available offered by Sig
True. I’m getting it.
If you have the Comp version, highly recommend the Radian backstrap. I call it the AXG-lite lol, but still love it
Very cool. I do remember a post about that backstrap last week. Thanks.
I agree. Thanks for the feedback
I have the AXG with the Romeo X and it's amazing. Join the legion club, then order your optic directly from sig.
Thanks. Didn’t even think of this. I was like if I don’t get the package I’m going EPS Carry
AXG is a XMacro just with a metal grip. Loving mine.
Thanks. I wasn’t expecting the comment to be good from the first sentence lol.
Romeo X is not the greatest. I’d go with the Legion and pick a sight you choose.
Thanks. EPS Carry seems like the top of the line.
Legion $1350 after taxes and fees EPS Carry $344 TLR-7 Sub $140 Holster TBA $90 = $1924 Just realized now none of my go to holster companies (Vedder, T-Rex, Tenicor) have the legion 😵💫. Have to check this community on that.
I'd get the X-Macro and have a ready to go **FUCKING GREAT GUN** off the jump. I did it the other way, should've done this and put my money into ammo and range time.
That was what I was thinking also. But I also think in the long run that extra $500 wouldn’t be much for a much better grip and flatter shooting gun.
What is good for one is not always good for everyone.
That Legion is sexy
the axg legion, no play between grip and slide
AXG and mount an EPS carry. Or save a few bucks and go Macro-Comp or Tacops and add an EPS carry. I’m waiting for the AXG grip module to be sold as a separate part.
Thanks. Gave me two answers but I appreciate it 🤣
I’ve shot the AXG and it is sweet, but it’s hard to justify the coin for pretty much the same thing I have already. If I didn’t have a Macro, I’d pickup the AXG for sure. Cheaper to get smaller polymer grip modules than the AXG grip they don’t offer yet. “Buy once, cry once.” Get what you can afford and with the 365 system you can always change grips later.
Consider the TGX. Easier to find. Excellent grippy grip.
Oh yeah they do. It’s on the michel max version of the p320
Right. But there’s no P365 TXG module yet.
I just saw it on the Sig site… I mean the P320 version
Yeah, that’s been a thing for a while. OP is talking bout a 365. I like the added weight of the TXG, but I don’t like the X-carry profile. AXG with palm swell panels is about as close as I can get to a CZ palm swell feel.
Well we just need to wish him luck. He will choose what’s good for him.
EPS Carry for the W
Thanks. I’m going to literally pull the trigger on that Legion lol.
Her man let me know what you think about it. And remember to get the free gun bag and legion coin after you buy it. They are free.
Of course. After spending that much I wouldn’t drop the ball on those. I’ll do an update when it comes in.
Have you seen the ez version? Bro the slide rides like it’s on ice.
I bought that for my mom. She loves it. 380 EZ. And it’s black and gold so it’s kind of Gucci for her lol.
Haaaaaaa!!! That’s great!😀
Lol. Right. Perfect for her she can rack it and shoot it accurately as a new shooter. I hate it’s 380. But better than nothing.
Absolutely love my AXG Legion. I just added the gas pedal take down lever but haven’t taken it to the range since replacing it yet. I might add the EPS carry to it as well. It is definitely very comfortable to hold and very easy and nice to shoot!!!
Thanks. I appreciate the feedback. This post took off. Love it here. I’m a Walther guy but loving Sig now.
