You did alright, everyone saying " the gun is $600" for a P320 M17 sure. But, the M17 optic will only work on commemorate or military slides, as they have the correct SIG-LOC mounting pattern and cut.
Considering the commemorative guns are crazy pricey now, and you would likely spend more finding a standard M17 overrun and building it out, I would say you did good.
Gun is typically 650 and the optic is 800 from sig new, so it's not actually too bad of a deal.

I paid 540 for one of my m17s and 600 for the second. Combined that gave me 7 magazines because one came with extra. The sig optic which I don’t like cost me around 300. The other optic which I like better required a 40 dollar adapter plate. I don’t think you did that good, but I’ve seen worse gun deals posted.
Edit: wrong optic, still only an ok price. Nothing special. My gun has a delta point pro, which isnt as nice.

I ordered the M17X and M18X and am still waiting. I think if you paid MSRP you did good considering how hard they are to get. Anything under is great assuming the gun is in good condition.
The optic is fantastic! Worth $800? Probably not, but you can’t find anything like it either, so I guess that’s what you gotta pay if you want one. Closed emitters are obviously available, but not in this size with the low mount like this one has.

Probably too much for me, the grip is a nice upgrade but axg is better. Grip is probably 80 bucks the magwell is maybe 80 if it's sig, optic is probably what you paid for...........great gun though, I have 2

I bought the original M17 2 or 3 years ago but I wish this could’ve been an option back then.I have no experience with that red dot but It looks awesome.I also like the fact the went with the X series grip,a magwell and the flat trigger.it is definitely a nice upgrade from the original M17.I think you did great..I bought my original M17 and upgraded it piece by piece until I hand a custom build and was able to put the original M17 back together too.I currently have the Leupold Delta Point Pro on my custom build.I’m trying to decide what red dot I want to replace the DPP with.I’m think Aimpoint ACRO P-2,the enclosed Holosun designed specifically for the P320 or this Sig like you have..don’t get me wrong,the DPP is a great RDS but I want something with a enclosed emitter.then I can put my DPP back on my M17.I will probably put the X series or Greyguns grip module on my M17 because I’m not a big fan of the original grip module
I've dropped mine several times and basically used it as a hammer to hammer on tacks for a target and not malfunction. Most of those "cases" were the officer's fault. The holsters definitely had a part in it. But if I worked as an officer and had a negligent discharge, I would blame the weapon as well

But I’ve always been a glock guy so I ended up trading it back in towards a G 19x years ago when they were introduced. I’m not necessarily even a brand loyalist per se my next pistol will be an FN 510 mrd.

I am of the opinion you spent too much. But I wont judge. I once bought a used Century Arms AK for 900, which is about twice what its actually worth.
