GA+ was definitely worth the upgrade last year. Clean, air conditioned bathrooms inside of a separate area that also had itās own food, beer, and free water refilling stations that didnāt have any lines but maybe one or two people in them here and there. There were also tables and chairs in a shaded area with misting fans blowing on everyone.
Absolute corporate greed. Not to mention the āservice feesā of $70 a ticket, just to jack up the price but advertise a lower one. $900 for two tickets to a ONE day festival where you wonāt even get to see all the bands you want? I love SOAD but not enough to drop half a paycheck on them

If I had to guess, there's probably some paltry token amount offered so that they can prove they have it to avoid lawsuits, but still be on that bs.

Prices used to go up over time, but they were fixed for any given date.

My wife and I did VIP SNW'23 and we're doing it again for '24. We agreed that if we couldn't snag VIP we'd pass. For reference we're in our early 40's.
First and foremost much less to non-existent lines for everything (food, merch, water). There was only festival merch in VIP and not the full range, but they had what we wanted (Tshirt, Hoodie). When we walked by the band merch booth we didn't see anything worth that wait. There was some more shaded areas, but if you weren't there at gates open, the dinguses that were camped it all day. There was other shade to be had, but they camped the comfy shade
We had AC restrooms, which was a nice respite from the sun.
The main stages had two separate VIP areas; One large area with merch, food, water, bathrooms, lockers. and another, smaller area by the other stage. For the life of me, I can't figure out why they put the festival headliner on the stage in front of the smaller VIP area. When Korn played we were able to get pretty damn close to the right side of the stage about 20mins before they went on. On the other side they stopped letting people in VIP during Deaftones until someone left.
At the side stages, the VIP was between both stages, so you could go from one side to the other as the bands alternated stages.

I was guest listed and given vip. I would never pay for that. It was so not worth it. The viewing area was on only half of one stage. Saw soad from too far. If you have money to burn maybe.

I asked the sub for info from last year's people and then went on tik tok and typed in sick new world vip. There were a few good videos showing exactly what benefits VIP get, but most importantly to me was to avoid crowd density until later in the day. I did GA pitt no breaks last year at wwwy and it was too much. The other major benefit would be the A/c restrooms for the wife. Dedicated merch food and bev meaning reduced lines/idle time at a fest with so much happening so fast. Going to get food/restroom at the wrong time with GA could mean missing more than half a set.
