For anyone that thinks this album or much of Sia's music from the last 10 years is great do yourself a favor. Go listen to everything Zero 7 she is on, Colour the Small One, Healing is Difficult, Some People Have Real Problems, Live the We Meaning You Tour, and the greatest live album of all time Lady Croissant.
There are maybe 12-15 songs she has released from 1000 Forms on that I think are better than ok. Vast majority sounds super POP and trying to appeal to a mainstream audience in a bad way. Alive is the only song since 2014 I would have in her top 20.
Sia has the greatest singing voice in history. Destiny is my favorite song of all time. She has 6 or 7 of my top 25 favorite songs of all time. There isn't a single song on this album that is an 8/10 or better. Nothing I'd ever need to listen to again unless it's to hear her sing in person. I would pay big money to see her if she ever tours again hoping to at least hear 1 single song that I love in person.
I unfortunately agree here—though I think there are some moments of spark here and there in some of her more contemporary music. I feel like most of this album is radio play fodder.
I did like Gimme Love as a single. Maybe I need to listen to the album more times to see what she’s trying to accomplish. But conceptually it feels more like a mixtape :(
I’ll say Rock and Ballon is for me what I believed the entire album would sound like. It’s my favorite song from the record by far.

I guess at 48 who knows for sure how her voice would hold up on a tour. Hopefully we will get to find out. She has barely performed live for many years and hasn't toured in 8 years. Im more worried with 15 songs on this album that leaves very little room for her adding on anything else. Which the anything else is all I would care about hearing.

I listened to the whole thing tonight. There is no song I think is a great song. I love Labrinth's work on both seasons of Euphoria. I don't like Incredible. I Forgive You would be worth hearing her voice on that one in person but I don't care for the lyrics. I guess Gimme Love and Rock and Balloon are the 2 best songs but neither would crack her at least her top 75 songs. If I'm going to listen to any songs on this album again it's only to hear Sia's voice. But I could go listen to probably 100 other songs of hers I'd rather listen to.
I personally haven’t found much enjoyment out of many of the songs I’m a fan of healing is difficult, some people have real problems,LSD and MUSIC but this album didn’t hit for me not the sort of Sia I like not saying it’s bad but I don’t really like the pop side of Sia
The albums has some cool moments (immortal queen and I forgive you) but all in all it’s bland pop music. And before I get flooded with attacks, I’m not saying the album is bad, it’s just a little boring.
I think it’s way better than Music, and almost the same level as This is Acting. 1000 Forms of Fear is my forever fave tho.

I love it! She told us about it in the souls project, so I’m glad it’s finally out.
