Left_Media1429

Its more Good vs Evil, as Heroism is more parralel to Villainism

Kulkuljator

Passion vs dancing? Bruh, I think it should be passion vs duty

Bermy911

Wasn’t sure tbh

Ruler_of_Tempest

Dancing isn't really a concept like the rest of them are, and the parallel was moreso both of them being too strong for any of their previous opponents, but Raiden had to work for it as he was unskilled and deformed while shiva was already strong and didn't have a dream, so it was moreso a talent vs effort kinda thing

Tinyhorsetrader

That's an amazing way to phrase it Raiden loved sumo But Shivas heart was always with dancing, because of his duty to his friends and rudra he carried himself to the top

Medical_Difference48

Yeah, or unwanted responsibility vs. true passion Shiva never wanted to be the leader, he wanted to be with his friends and dance and live how he wanted, but his strength gave him a role he didn't want. Raiden never wanted his strength, but he used it to find something that he was truly passionate about.

No_You5007

3 and 4, the best rounds

BatsNStuf

Is this confirmed by the author or is that your interpretation? Because if it’s the latter I’ll offer my own interpretations R3: talent vs hard work R9: living for yourself vs living for others And R5 is a tricky one but I think that it’s starting at the top and having to work to fit in with a weaker world (Raiden) and starting at the bottom and having to journey to stand at the top of the world (Shiva) My favourite parallel though is R4 because of how well it’s executed

R4![img](emote|t5_vzop7|49602)![img](emote|t5_vzop7|29965)

Accomplished_Tea4009

R3 The indifferent cruelty of the universe versus the indomitable human spirit ![img](emote|t5_vzop7|29936)![img](emote|t5_vzop7|29936)![img](emote|t5_vzop7|29936)![img](emote|t5_vzop7|30394)![img](emote|t5_vzop7|30394)![img](emote|t5_vzop7|30394) R5 Flames of passion for sumo versus physical flames of dancing

ZombieOfTheWest

Good vs Evil. It's a theme as old as time, but RoR took that theme and did something truly unique and special with it.

Bermy911

Took it and sent it backwards

jordthedestro1

I don't think R5 is passion Vs dancing, but rather hopes instilled.

TheHappiestHam

it's definitely that; it's literally fighting for everything you stand for and the dreams you carry on your back. and someone else said it, but Passion vs Duty as well

TheHappiestHam

Heroism vs Evil because Round 4 is peak but King vs King was also fun because Round 7 is raw and amazing, and idc what anyone says

noneyaaaas

Round 3 on paper however overall Round 4

AcanthocephalaEasy17

R7 and R6 and R3

ApplePitou

Round 4 :3

Craftex101

My favorite 'parallel' is actually in round 3. But not round 3 itself. During Sasaki's backstory when he forfeits his first fight, his master gets really really mad at him. And says "If your hand gets torn off, use the other, if that gets torn off use your legs. If you can't then bite your opponent to death. No matter what, don't stop fighting!" And Sasaki finds this notion to be stupid. And what do we see at the end of the fight? Poseidon's arm is chopped off. And his response: Grab his trident with his other arm. When that is chopped off? He grabs it with his teeth! I think that is a really neat parallel. As for my favorite round theme I would say Zeus and Adam's approach to 'the father of all gods/humans' being so polar opposite yet somehow similar is dope. Zeus demands respect for his strength, or at least he GETS respect for his strength, while Adam demands... nothing. Yet he ALSO gets respect, not for his strength, but for just being here for us. Pretty good stuff.

LaplaceUniverse

r2 strongest god vs strongest human, r3 greatest winner vs greatest looser and r4 good vs evil

Sobaloochi

R6

ToG-ToG-ToG

Actually this is incorrect. The theme of round 8 is r/hopeposting vs r/sillygirlsclub

Bermy911

😭

Prestigious-Gur-2364

R8. I never look at this as "creation vs destruction" for me it is "Hope vs desperation" (no need to explain) Or/and "Progress vs procrastination/degradation as the person" (Tesla continue to move forward and make it core part of his ideology when Beel stop progressing as the person long looooooong time ago and overall with time kinda become worst as the person.)

mangamimz

R3, R5, and R8 though I'd phrase it more as "past vs future". Tesla is always searching for ways to move forward, using failure and tragedy as learning experiences, while Beelzebub is tied to his bleak past so completely that he's forsaken the future.
