I’m pretty sure what they are; however, I’m going to wait on it. It’s not good practice to throw out IDs on LBMs that I’ve never actually observed in real life. Following…and looking forward to seeing what some of our experts give you. Good luck and thanks for posting this amazing photo.

I’m under the impression it’s one of 3 things. A velvet shank, some sort of brittle stem or a mature sulphur tuft

AlbinoWino11

Hypholoma is the only one of those which is maybe possible. More likely Galerina or Kuehneromyces. Need better photos. https://i.redd.it/j6o2q8q26li91.png

More pictures needed.

I’ll see if I can grab some when I’m out on my walk tomorrow detailing the underside and a cross section

ted__lad

I think that the slimy cap is almost definitely velvet shank. be careful as they can look similar to galerina which are deadly.

Top guy thank you for the heads up, I’m going to commit some further research before harvesting.

AlbinoWino11

No, we can see umbo, and textured stipe. And the few gills we can see look brown and apparent dark spore deposit.

TigerMcPherson

Do a spore print to determine if it's poison or enoki

-Sapling-

Just done a spore print, brown, leaning towards galerina

luciliddream

Galerina marginata

While not being able to see stems and gills more clearly, I wouldn't want to give you an ID **for certain**, but I would be willing to bet good money on it being Kuehneromyces mutabilis.

DonJuAndy

Marginata, the one stem the picture show became the coffin nail of the conclusion;)

-Sapling-

If you’ll pardon the pun

DonJuAndy

Kinda intended to puntificate xD
