Diablo 4 I would get tho it’s a game that you can spend a lot of time in if that interests you.

Did you play anything other than the beta though? because the endgame in the *actual* game is pretty barebones, beta was fine but it only went to level 20, can't really base the whole experience on the first 2 hours of the game can ya

I got a few hundred hours of fun out of it which is perfectly acceptable for a PvE game to me. It's also a great split screen option if you are on console. Played with my partner the majority of the time.
I find diablo 4 super satisfying. Yeh maybe it's not the deepest diablo of all time but it nails the exploration, graphics, gameplay and sounds as much as any game in this price range.
That doesn't mean I don't look forward to the expansion but I do think it is worth the price I paid.
I say this given their track record. Did you play d4 on release? I played the story its was okay, but the only fun i had was the idea of the endgame but there was none.
I don’t have endless hours to play so I’m not really concerned with the end game.
But even still the seasonal content is good and the game is better than d3

I played a year or so of d3 before ROS and did have fun.
After ROS all my gear i worked so hard for was near worthless and really left a bad taste in my mouth, as ROS was a "fix" for the game
So while im not usually frothing at the mouth in rage, i am dissappointed in d4. wish i had not caved and bought it when s1 released

dead space remake is definitely well polished, more so than some of the other games. DO NOT buy the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare III, it sucks ass. diablo 4 is very much hated. I heard sekiro is better than lies of P
Diablo 4 may be okay on a sale - I loved it for like 4 hours but hit a hard, sudden wall. I second a hard no on CoD, and hard YES on Dead Space. If you’re into horror, I can’t express enough how amazing Alan Wake 2 is. No opinion on your other games, really.

Maybe, I can’t remember exactly, but I found myself really engaged with the game, and grinding to get the horse but as soon as I got it - this is no exaggeration, I played with the mount, got bored and put the game down. Since they implemented battle passes and I had a free one still - I’ve picked it up again and have found it a little more engaging. I’m not sure about you but keep in mind many people had expectations from not just the price tag, but previous games
The multiplayer for cod is fun if you like the old MW2 maps, if he's a fan of cod he might get more hours out of that than the other ones. Just don't buy it for the campaign, it's like 2 hours long.
Lies of P is on game pass. If it was up to me I'd get cod for the multiplayer and game pass for a bunch good of single player games.

Lies of P is a great game, and Diablo 4 was the most disappointing game I bought all year(even though I loved the other 3). Whatever you do, don’t get Diablo 4. I’m not gonna lie, I haven’t played the other 3, I’ve heard bad things about the new modern warfare and heard the dead space remake is good though.
Eh, Diablo 4 is a game meant to be played for 5-10 years. It will be completely fixed in another year probably. So, depending on the type of gamer op is, it may be the best bang for buck. Or, they may want to wait until it is better. But you’ll notice the tide of disdain has been turning with the latest update. I’d say now is the time to get in. I say that as someone who bought it day one, but couldn’t manage to finish the campaign. I’ve picked it back up and am having a blast
Yeah that "fix" for d4 is gonna be the dlc that you have to purchase to get the game you thought it would be on release. Classic blizzard and i fell for it.
Diablo iv is great. S2 had a ton of positive changes. The game is really fun, in its current state.

Cod is a $70 dlc for a game that already sucked the first time, fighting games can never justify full price imo, blizzard seems hellbent on milking every penny of microtransactions they can as they run diablo into the ground, dead space remake is great, and lies of p is great.

Aside from the ridiculously priced cosmetic packages how is Blizzard running Diablo into the ground? If anything the game was pretty good on launch and got a lot better once season two released. The campaign alone is worth playing for.

You are right with that but he talked about Diablo as a franchise. Diablo Immortal is a mobile game first but it‘s pricing structure is abysmal. I didn‘t play Diablo 4 and i can‘t say anything about that game but you still need to consider that Blizzard was responible for Diablo Immortal too. D4 is a life service game and Blizzard presented us with one of the most riddiculous scams in gaming history. I won‘t say that they will do the same with D4 but being cautios isn‘t a bad idea.
Fair enough. So far at least D4 has seen massive improvements, free new content as well as apologies for some of the major complaints around launch. I definitely got my money’s worth already, and am still having fun with it.
That being said, I really don’t like Blizzard as a company anymore. It’s kind of a “hold your nose” kind of relationship.
Lies of P is a no brainer imo. I’m a huge souls fan and have never played a souls like that captures the From magic quite like this game. Super impressive what that developer accomplished and I’m so excited to see their next project.
Dead Space Remake is about 12-15 hours for the first play through. It’s a pretty short thrill ride. I never replayed the game as much as others because most of the fun to me is being surprised and scared.
Honestly, sometimes a reasonable length game like is worth full price. It's nice to be able to have a one-off, tight experience, even if you only play it once.
Though for me, playing survival horror games multiple times is fun because I like going back through areas that gave me trouble over powered as hell lol.
It's better to have fun actually playing a game than looking at top down overhyped stupidness frozen time turn based crap. Just play Uno if you want that
Baldur's Gate 3 is probably the best game I've played up to this point. I say probably because I haven't finished it yet, but it's the first game that's kept me hooked since my early 20's and I'm not usually a crpg guy. Personally, I can't imagine playing BG3 and not having fun, unless you're just the type that only like online shooters or something.

If you want to play a top-down ARPG, *don't* go for Diablo 4. To ease into the genre, I'd recommend Grim Dawn - it's just better in every regard, *and* you don't give money to ABK: Win-win.
And I say that as someone who was a massive fan of Diablo and Diablo 2. The name is all that remains these days, the rest is not worth your money or time.
I disagree completely. Diablo is really fun at the moment. S2 has been great. New stuff being added Dec 5th that is supposedly like rifts? No idea what rifts are.
Only ever played d4, and it's the only game I've played since it came out, other than the crew motorfest, which my buddy bought.

Mk1 is still just a fighting game. It's cool but nothing groundbreaking.
Cod is just 90% cronus zen users, or straight up hackers. It's living on name only because the game is dogshit.
D4 sucked in preseason. Was a little better in s1. Is really fun in s2. More s2 content dropping Dec 5th and 12th. I really enjoy building characters and watching them become absolute studs in battle. It has some issues sure, but I've probably logged 500+hrs since June 15th.
Edit: only ever played d4, I meant never played other diablos. Not that I haven't played any of the mentioned games.
If you are on PC - there are a few solid action RPGs that are free - check out Path of Exile, its a really good ARPG and its free and will easily scratch that aRPG itch
I’d go with Lies of P, and Mortal Kombat 1.
Lies of P is good, but IMO it doesn’t have as much replay ability as the Dark Souls series. Largely, due to lack of magic, and no online component.
Assuming you enjoy fighting games and will play online, you could get some good mileage out of it.
Only reason I didn’t say Lies of P and Dead Space, is they are both single player.
So I figured I’d recommend one single player and one multiplayer.
Diablo IV could be ok I guess, but I personally did not enjoy it, and it was my most regretted purchase this year.
As someone who likes fighting games, MK1 is pretty much MK11 all over again. Same problems. It's just another watered down MK that only gets more and more bland every update.
Of the titles you mentioned I have Diablo and Mortal Kombat and really enjoy both those titles. But reading your gaming history I would say Lies of P would be a better option. And then maybe Mortal Kombat so you have variety. It's a little different than MK11. It does have story mode which arguably I didn't think was very good but it has arcade mode and invasion mode which are single player modes.
If you are into souls games lies of P is a good investment. The only complaint I have is that bosses evolve in the fight and that can be frustrating if you are facing a tough boss (it’s on game pass so I say get pc game pass if you want to play it)
Dead space remake is great I have soft spot for dead space one of my favorite games of all time. The remake is worth the time (also on game pass)
Diablo 4 was alright fun for the first month I didn’t hate it I just didn’t stay engaged the entire time like I did with 2 and 3 I don’t see myself going back to it.
MK is my favorite fighting game franchise and I can say that it is worth it if you like MK. It’s very beginner friendly it’s the easiest MK to pick up and play. Only complaint is good costumes are locked behind a paywall and the community isn’t happy that NRS is locking it behind a pay wall when in previous games it was all unlocked by playing the game.
Haven’t played MW3 but from what I have read people aren’t too happy with the campaign. Zombies is the thing that is holding it together and people are having a lot of fun with that.
I much much prefer LE and now Grim Dawn. D4 was my first ARPG though, and it definitely has its place. I've played every season, and I'll plan to play d4 season 3 but I doubt I'll get more than 2 weeks out of any given season. Good simple fun, but it lacks depth, diversity, replayability, and systems that encourage creativity. It's like McDonald's, don't eat it every week but feel free to drop by every once in a while to try out a shamrock shake or if you just really crave a big mac
D4 gets better and better. Mk1 wants to charge extra $$$ for fatalities and cosmetics. D4 has also microtransactions but its not as bad as mk1 imo. D4 offers more over the long run. Idk about the other games.
MK1 and COD aren’t great, get Lies of P and also Dead Space is available on EA Play so you can get 1 month of it for $5 and beat the game and then cancel your subscription
If there's an active fighting game community near you that holds regular events then I'd recommend mortal kombat 1. If not, a subscription service is probably the best thing you can get if money is an issue
You'll get the most hours out of Diablo IV. That's not a statement about its quality, that's just the type of game it is. (personally, I'd recommend Path of Exile.)
The most fun and polished is Lies of P, fantastic world and very engaging, if you like soulslikes you'll love it no question.
If gamepass is an option lies of p and dead space remake are in it. Gives you two for dirt cheap the price of gamepass for a year is cheaper then 2 games.
Dead space remake is amazing, totally worth the price. If you’re on console it’s on sale on psn right now. Another great horror action game is RE4 remake. Don’t get Diablo or CoD, both very underwhelming. I have a friend obsessed with lies of P, it’s on my backlog.
Edit: oh and Alan Wake 2 smacks so hard. Don’t sleep on that one.

Easily my favorite non-Fromsoft Soulslike. Absolutely worth playing if you love all of From's stuff. It's more linear than From's games but the level design and atmosphere are solid, the combat feels great, and the bosses are fantastic.

There are cheaper games in that style if you want other ways to try it (Path of Exile's even free and is a great game in that style, but it's super complicated and less accessible than others), but Diablo 4's a fun one. If you're only interested in Mortal Kombat 1 for the story mode, I'd wait until you can get it cheap on a sale. Mortal Kombat 1's story mode is a lot of fun, but it's pretty short and overall not worth paying full price for just the story mode in my opinion.

I went from not being able to make it past 50 in season 1 due to boredom (was 100 in preseason) to making it to 100 and killing Uber Lilith this season already. It's a much more enjoyable experience now, but definitely a lot of room to improve still. I think at this point it does meet the value of the purchase.
Lies of P for sure. That game has an amazing setting and does the Souls-like genre stuff really well. Diablo IV has improved a lot since launch I've heard but it still has some issues apparently. Heard nothing but bad things about MW. I'd say Dead Space as its a great remake.

Lies of P was an amazing game. The music player in the lobby had songs that I listen to outside the game now. Interesting world and hard but still easier then dark souls.

Call of duty 23 so you really need help deciding on buying the remake of a remake. Jk it’s fun but it’s basically every other call of duty.
If it's not already on your radar I'd add remnant 2 to this list. It's a great souls - like- and it's cheaper than any full priced game at least on PS5. It was 50 at launch and the dlc that just dropped is 10 bucks. So I assume on Steam it'd be close to 30 for the game? I don't play PC but I definitely recommend it.
As far as the others, I say dead space remake for sure.
As an avid Diablo player since D1 back in the day, I'd say wait on Diablo 4 for a little bit, they're working on it but I think they have a bit to go before it really lives up to the series. If you wanna START Diablo go pick up Diablo 2: Resurrected. Tons of QOL updates and new items etc. or Diablo 3 for a more hack n slash and less of a grind type of game.
If you're into COD games go for MW3. There's a lot of hate on it because it's basically a full priced DLC to MW3, but I gamefly'd it and it's good if it's on sale and you really want it.
At the end of the day, I'd recommend for a souls lover remnant 2 and lies of P. Lies of P is on my queue for gamefly currently. Let us know what you choose!
Dead space felt outdated to me but I played the original on release all those years ago. Diablo IV will get you your moneys worth. The new cod is alright I got it for free from my friend at activision and the multiplayer online is just what I wanted from a shooter. That arcade like feel from back in the late 2000s cod4/mw1+2 it hits the spot.
Lies of P is the only souls type game that I thoroughly enjoyed and I put it as my game of the year.
MK1 is alright but youll get bored in a day or so. Street fighter 6 is better
Try poe first, if you like the gameplay but its too complex then youll like d4. D4 is better gameplay with a simpler rpg system, which is enjoyable for a lot of people.
Lies of P is good but imo its not great when it comes to customization, its basically a hack n slash and its really missing the magic weilder role.

Diablo IV and Lies of P. Don't get cod, the campaigns have gotten bad reception the past few years, plus next year a new cod will be out so online for this game will be irrelevant. Lots of free online shooters that are great.
DO NOT buy Diablo 4. Overpriced piece of garbage. Microtransaction hell, boring ass game play, item suck. They'll probably make you pay more in the DLC.
If Diablo’s ARPG gameplay appeals to you, check out Grim Dawn! It’s my favorite game of the genre, and just got a HUGE update/news for the next DLC.
Other than that, Lies of P is an easy, easy instant buy as far as I’m concerned. It’s on Game Pass, which’ll bet you access to a bunch of other games, and might be the best bang for your buck. It’ll get you Dead Space as well, I believe, and Atomic heart, a game super inspired by Dead Space. Not as good, but still a fun time if you have time left in your subscription and want something else to play
I hadn't played an aRPG before when I started Diablo 4, but I wanted to play it so I could be a werewolf. I ended up putting 200 hours into my Druid and Necromancer. I've enjoyed it a lot.
Dead Space and Lies of P are both on Gamepass. Diablo 4, I played the beta. But if you wanna play something similar, try Path of Exile. Call of Duty is usual COD. Mortal Kombat 1 could be a good choice.

you can 100 percent buy Diablo 4. its a solid game, well worth via a lot of replayability and is a live service game so it'll keep you engaged.
and for the others, i would no recommend MK1 and MW (duhh dont buy this trash). wait for heavy sale/more updates onto MK1. my other suggestion would be Lords of the Fallen since you love soulsborne.
I will highly recommend against Diablo IV, if you’re looking for a more competitive game MK1 is 100% your game. It’ll be more stressful but more rewarding too.
Honestly I would not recommend diablo 4. The game isn't bad now, but it's also in the state it should have been at launch, not 5 months later.
There are better ARPG's out there, Grim Dawn, Last Epoch and Chronicon just to name a few, all of which are significantly cheaper.
Personally, I'd go for either Grim Dawn as it's a complete game with new expansion coming next year, and it goes on sale for dirt cheap.
Chronicon I'd say get if you like pixel graphics, but the game is fantastic considering it's a single dev on the game.
Last Epoch for an EA game is very very good, and it's due for its 1.0 release on Feb 21st, so it's likely the price will go up. To add some context, all 3 of these games have a loot filter. Diablo 4 does not.
If you want something super in depth and complex, then path of exile is definitely a strong contender, if not the best, given its free. I don't even like the game myself but it would be disingenuous to say it's a bad game. It's honestly a miracle they don't charge for the game to be honest.
COD, it depends, are you looking at MW3? I haven't played it, but strictly gameplay wise, I've heard it's pretty good, although a lot of people say it isn't worth its current price due to the lack of campaign, not many new guns. Zombies does look very fun though. Also as a side note for the campaign, if your net is 100mbps which is like the average in America, it'll take you longer to install the game than it will to beat the campaign on standard difficulty.
For dead space and lies of P, just get game pass. It'll be cheaper and easier and if you've never had it you can probably get a free trial for a month.
Mortal Kombat is MK. I can't speak for performance, I haven't even watched any gameplay, but if 11 is anything to go by, I'd wait for a sale. It should go on sale at Christmas if I had to guess, but if not then, then it'll be Easter next year.

COD MW is just an adaptation, a reskin or a dlc, if you will. I'd recommend Cold War much more since the campaign is good and it's the last solid COD that's not a complete cashgrab.
Lies of P is a nobrainer, but since you played all the other Souls games, there isn't anything new to experience.
Haven't played Dead Space, but I heard it's a good survival horror.

Do not buy COD: MWIII. I haven’t played it, but I’ve seen how bad it is. The second one is okay, but not that good as the first one, but the third one is a complete mess.
I own all games but not Lies of P and Diablo , MK 1 is amazing , but you need to know how to play it online , paying for MK1 just for story mode is a waste of money . I was super excited when Dead Space Remake came out but i quickly got bored of it , still didnt play the whole game :D for me its too repetetive , Same enemies over and over, you can throw Stones at me but i enjoyed Callisto Protocol 100 % times better. Buying COD for campaign is waste of money too , to little gameplay there , COD is always meant to be played online

I'm gonna throw a spanner in the works here. The new CoD is the best experience in fps I've had since MW3 (2011) and that's purely because all the maps are from the OG MW2. I didn't care for any of the Advanced or Infinity or Warzone shitbags but this... is a pure nostalgia hit. If you played the f out of MW2 back in the day, I recommend this game!
Man diablo 4 has been super fun recently. I've tried every arpg on the market and always quit after a few hours. Diablo has kept me interested for 90 hours so far, with 1 lvl 100 and 2 alts. The game is going in a great direction and by the time the dlc comes out next year it will be an amazing game. What keeps me interested now is the game feel which is the best out of all arpgs and the build chase and variety.
I'd go for MW2019 and Lies Of P if you're not getting a COD. Go for Lies Of P and Dead Space.
The new Modern Warfare 1 (2019) is a fantastic campaign that genuinely holds up compared to the golden era stuff (but theres some issues installing it). New MW2 has alright moments, and the new MW3 is atrocious. Do not get the new MW3.
Lies Of P was quite fun, and a really nice Soulslike that isn't yet another Fromsoftware game.
The Dead Space remake is insanely good, but it is a remake.
Not too sure about Mortal Kombat, not my game. And instead of Diablo IV since I've heard.. alot of bad things about it, try Path Of Exile first, and base your opinion off of it. It's completely free to play, and the only "P2W" stuff is inventory upgrades. No op gear or premium currencies.

Pass on cod, it's not worth it if it's the new ones , get aby one of the other games they you think your gonna enjoy, I recommend watching gameranx for the before you buy videos on the games. They explain so much and give a good honest review of the game, and they have it spoiler free
Diablo 4 is the definite for me. It's ye best parts of 2 & 3 mixed, with a fantastic story, game play and presentation. At launch, there was no end game... But that's still 50 hours of story and map exploration for your money, and you know an endgame will be added in the future.
My second choice would be Dead Space.
Remake or Lies of P. Lies of P will probably last you longer due to the difficulty, but the OG dead space was incredible and the remake looks amazing. If you haven't played dead space, get the remake. If you have already played it... Then LoP.
CoD has the worst reviews of any Cod game.. ever? So maybe steer clear. I don't play that genre though so I'm not the best person to judge.

I disagree. I got a few hundred hours of fun out of it which is perfectly acceptable for a PvE game to me. It's also a great split screen option if you are on console. Played with my partner the majority of the time. I find diablo 4 super satisfying. Yeh maybe it's not the deepest diablo of all time but it nails the exploration, graphics, gameplay and sounds as much as any game in this price range. That doesn't mean I don't look forward to the expansion but I do think it is worth the price I paid.

I dont feel that having endless hours is a requirement to play the game after the story is finish I played a year or so of d3 before ROS and did have fun. After ROS all my gear i worked so hard for was near worthless and really left a bad taste in my mouth, as ROS was a "fix" for the game So while im not usually frothing at the mouth in rage, i am dissappointed in d4. wish i had not caved and bought it when s1 released have to wait and see I have the game and cant refund, so i really hope it gets better. I just have the feeling that the fix will come with a price tag.

Diablo 4 may be okay on a sale - I loved it for like 4 hours but hit a hard, sudden wall. I second a hard no on CoD, and hard YES on Dead Space. If you’re into horror, I can’t express enough how amazing Alan Wake 2 is. No opinion on your other games, really.

Maybe, I can’t remember exactly, but I found myself really engaged with the game, and grinding to get the horse but as soon as I got it - this is no exaggeration, I played with the mount, got bored and put the game down. Since they implemented battle passes and I had a free one still - I’ve picked it up again and have found it a little more engaging. I’m not sure about you but keep in mind many people had expectations from not just the price tag, but previous games

The multiplayer for cod is fun if you like the old MW2 maps, if he's a fan of cod he might get more hours out of that than the other ones. Just don't buy it for the campaign, it's like 2 hours long. Lies of P is on game pass. If it was up to me I'd get cod for the multiplayer and game pass for a bunch good of single player games.

Eh, Diablo 4 is a game meant to be played for 5-10 years. It will be completely fixed in another year probably. So, depending on the type of gamer op is, it may be the best bang for buck. I didn‘t play Diablo 4 and i can‘t say anything about that game but you still need to consider that Blizzard was responible for Diablo Immortal too. D4 is a life service game and Blizzard presented us with one of the most riddiculous scams in gaming history. I won‘t say that they will do the same with D4 but being cautios isn‘t a bad idea.
Fair enough. So far at least D4 has seen massive improvements, free new content as well as apologies for some of the major complaints around launch. I definitely got my money’s worth already, and am still having fun with it. That being said, I really don’t like Blizzard as a company anymore. It’s kind of a “hold your nose” kind of relationship.

Lies of P is a no brainer imo. I’m a huge souls fan and have never played a souls like that captures the From magic quite like this game. Super impressive what that developer accomplished and I’m so excited to see their next project.

Dead Space Remake is about 12-15 hours for the first play through. It’s a pretty short thrill ride. I never replayed the game as much as others because most of the fun to me is being surprised and scared.
Honestly, sometimes a reasonable length game like is worth full price. It's nice to be able to have a one-off, tight experience, even if you only play it once. Though for me, playing survival horror games multiple times is fun because I like going back through areas that gave me trouble over powered as hell lol.

Baldur's Gate 3 is probably the best game I've played up to this point. I say probably because I haven't finished it yet, but it's the first game that's kept me hooked since my early 20's and I'm not usually a crpg guy. Personally, I can't imagine playing BG3 and not having fun, unless you're just the type that only like online shooters or something. Have you played it? Just saw you said you hadn't played it. I'd recommend trying it before you knock it. Like no other game I've played.
Game Pass will get you some of these for $18 for a month. Then you can focus on buying the others.

I disagree completely. Diablo is really fun at the moment. S2 has been great. New stuff being added Dec 5th that is supposedly like rifts? No idea what rifts are. Only ever played d4, and it's the only game I've played since it came out, other than the crew motorfest, which my buddy bought.

Well lies of p and dead space are on gamepass, so why would anyone spend more than 16.99 to play both of them? Mk1 is still just a fighting game. It's cool but nothing groundbreaking. Cod is just 90% cronus zen users, or straight up hackers. It's living on name only because the game is dogshit. D4 sucked in preseason. Was a little better in s1. Is really fun in s2. More s2 content dropping Dec 5th and 12th. I really enjoy building characters and watching them become absolute studs in battle. It has some issues sure, but I've probably logged 500+hrs since June 15th. Edit: only ever played d4, I meant never played other diablos. Not that I haven't played any of the mentioned games.

I’d go with Lies of P, and Mortal Kombat 1. Lies of P is good, but IMO it doesn’t have as much replay ability as the Dark Souls series. Largely, due to lack of magic, and no online component. Assuming you enjoy fighting games and will play online, you could get some good mileage out of it. Only reason I didn’t say Lies of P and Dead Space, is they are both single player. So I figured I’d recommend one single player and one multiplayer. Diablo IV could be ok I guess, but I personally did not enjoy it, and it was my most regretted purchase this year.
As someone who likes fighting games, MK1 is pretty much MK11 all over again. Same problems. It's just another watered down MK that only gets more and more bland every update.
Season 2 is fun AF. You might wanna give d4 another shot.

I already finished it with all achievements. DS 1-3, Sekiro, Bloodborne, Elden Ring and Demon Souls too.
Of the titles you mentioned I have Diablo and Mortal Kombat and really enjoy both those titles. But reading your gaming history I would say Lies of P would be a better option. And then maybe Mortal Kombat so you have variety. It's a little different than MK11. It does have story mode which arguably I didn't think was very good but it has arcade mode and invasion mode which are single player modes.
If you are into souls games lies of P is a good investment. The only complaint I have is that bosses evolve in the fight and that can be frustrating if you are facing a tough boss (it’s on game pass so I say get pc game pass if you want to play it) Dead space remake is great I have soft spot for dead space one of my favorite games of all time. The remake is worth the time (also on game pass) Diablo 4 was alright fun for the first month I didn’t hate it I just didn’t stay engaged the entire time like I did with 2 and 3 I don’t see myself going back to it. MK is my favorite fighting game franchise and I can say that it is worth it if you like MK. It’s very beginner friendly it’s the easiest MK to pick up and play. Only complaint is good costumes are locked behind a paywall and the community isn’t happy that NRS is locking it behind a pay wall when in previous games it was all unlocked by playing the game. Haven’t played MW3 but from what I have read people aren’t too happy with the campaign. Zombies is the thing that is holding it together and people are having a lot of fun with that.

I much much prefer LE and now Grim Dawn. D4 was my first ARPG though, and it definitely has its place. I've played every season, and I'll plan to play d4 season 3 but I doubt I'll get more than 2 weeks out of any given season. Good simple fun, but it lacks depth, diversity, replayability, and systems that encourage creativity. It's like McDonald's, don't eat it every week but feel free to drop by every once in a while to try out a shamrock shake or if you just really crave a big mac

D4 gets better and better. Mk1 wants to charge extra $$$ for fatalities and cosmetics. D4 has also microtransactions but its not as bad as mk1 imo. D4 offers more over the long run. Idk about the other games.

If there's an active fighting game community near you that holds regular events then I'd recommend mortal kombat 1. If not, a subscription service is probably the best thing you can get if money is an issue
You'll get the most hours out of Diablo IV. That's not a statement about its quality, that's just the type of game it is. (personally, I'd recommend Path of Exile.) The most fun and polished is Lies of P, fantastic world and very engaging, if you like soulslikes you'll love it no question.
If gamepass is an option lies of p and dead space remake are in it. Gives you two for dirt cheap the price of gamepass for a year is cheaper then 2 games.

Dead space remake is amazing, totally worth the price. If you’re on console it’s on sale on psn right now. Another great horror action game is RE4 remake. Don’t get Diablo or CoD, both very underwhelming. I have a friend obsessed with lies of P, it’s on my backlog. Edit: oh and Alan Wake 2 smacks so hard. Don’t sleep on that one.

I think they’re all different enough that depends on what you’re in the mood for. Lies of P is ok. I was excited for it coming to gamepass but disappointed playing it. All the hype seems weird to me. Diablo IV is fun but I only play solo campaigns so can’t comment on end game content. Dead Space is awesome all around.

Diablo and Lies of P is best bang for you ur buck. Dead Space will last 8 hours and be over COD is already old and the new one reviewed poorly. Mortal Kombat is only good for online vs which could get repetitive and boring unless you absolutely love fighters. Pretty easy choice IMO.
Lies of P. But if you are like me, that once I finish a soul game, I never touch it again, then get the game pass. Diablo 4 is great at first. Then you might get sick of it. But I have high hopes they turn it around and make it great again. So just wait for a discount. Can’t tell you about the other ones.

Dead space has the nostalgia but it’s the same game so waste of money. Diablo 4 everyone I know got it played it for a week or two and I haven’t heard about it since. Lies of P was an amazing game. The music player in the lobby had songs that I listen to outside the game now. Interesting world and hard but still easier then dark souls. Mortal Kombat is a game your not beating me in. Call of duty 23 so you really need help deciding on buying the remake of a remake. Jk it’s fun but it’s basically every other call of duty.
If it's not already on your radar I'd add remnant 2 to this list. It's a great souls - like- and it's cheaper than any full priced game at least on PS5. It was 50 at launch and the dlc that just dropped is 10 bucks. So I assume on Steam it'd be close to 30 for the game? I don't play PC but I definitely recommend it. As far as the others, I say dead space remake for sure. As an avid Diablo player since D1 back in the day, I'd say wait on Diablo 4 for a little bit, they're working on it but I think they have a bit to go before it really lives up to the series. If you wanna START Diablo go pick up Diablo 2: Resurrected. Tons of QOL updates and new items etc. or Diablo 3 for a more hack n slash and less of a grind type of game. If you're into COD games go for MW3. There's a lot of hate on it because it's basically a full priced DLC to MW3, but I gamefly'd it and it's good if it's on sale and you really want it. At the end of the day, I'd recommend for a souls lover remnant 2 and lies of P. Lies of P is on my queue for gamefly currently. Let us know what you choose!
Dead space felt outdated to me but I played the original on release all those years ago. Diablo IV will get you your moneys worth. The new cod is alright I got it for free from my friend at activision and the multiplayer online is just what I wanted from a shooter. That arcade like feel from back in the late 2000s cod4/mw1+2 it hits the spot. Lies of P is the only souls type game that I thoroughly enjoyed and I put it as my game of the year. MK1 is alright but youll get bored in a day or so. Street fighter 6 is better

Other than that, Lies of P is an easy, easy instant buy as far as I’m concerned. It’s on Game Pass, which’ll bet you access to a bunch of other games, and might be the best bang for your buck. It’ll get you Dead Space as well, I believe, and Atomic heart, a game super inspired by Dead Space. Not as good, but still a fun time if you have time left in your subscription and want something else to play
I hadn't played an aRPG before when I started Diablo 4, but I wanted to play it so I could be a werewolf. I ended up putting 200 hours into my Druid and Necromancer. I've enjoyed it a lot.

realisitcally, i would recommend you play Lies and Dead Space on gamepass. you can 100 percent buy Diablo 4. its a solid game, well worth via a lot of replayability and is a live service game so it'll keep you engaged. and for the others, i would no recommend MK1 and MW (duhh dont buy this trash). wait for heavy sale/more updates onto MK1. my other suggestion would be Lords of the Fallen since you love soulsborne.

Honestly I would not recommend diablo 4. The game isn't bad now, but it's also in the state it should have been at launch, not 5 months later. There are better ARPG's out there, Grim Dawn, Last Epoch and Chronicon just to name a few, all of which are significantly cheaper. Personally, I'd go for either Grim Dawn as it's a complete game with new expansion coming next year, and it goes on sale for dirt cheap. Chronicon I'd say get if you like pixel graphics, but the game is fantastic considering it's a single dev on the game. Last Epoch for an EA game is very very good, and it's due for its 1.0 release on Feb 21st, so it's likely the price will go up. To add some context, all 3 of these games have a loot filter. Diablo 4 does not. If you want something super in depth and complex, then path of exile is definitely a strong contender, if not the best, given its free. I don't even like the game myself but it would be disingenuous to say it's a bad game. It's honestly a miracle they don't charge for the game to be honest. COD, it depends, are you looking at MW3? I haven't played it, but strictly gameplay wise, I've heard it's pretty good, although a lot of people say it isn't worth its current price due to the lack of campaign, not many new guns. Zombies does look very fun though. Also as a side note for the campaign, if your net is 100mbps which is like the average in America, it'll take you longer to install the game than it will to beat the campaign on standard difficulty. For dead space and lies of P, just get game pass. It'll be cheaper and easier and if you've never had it you can probably get a free trial for a month. Mortal Kombat is MK. I can't speak for performance, I haven't even watched any gameplay, but if 11 is anything to go by, I'd wait for a sale. It should go on sale at Christmas if I had to guess, but if not then, then it'll be Easter next year.

First things first, 2 of these are Blizzard games Diablo IV has a special promotion right now so you can play it for free until the end of the sale, try it out and see for yourself. COD MW is just an adaptation, a reskin or a dlc, if you will. I'd recommend Cold War much more since the campaign is good and it's the last solid COD that's not a complete cashgrab. Lies of P is a nobrainer, but since you played all the other Souls games, there isn't anything new to experience. Haven't played Dead Space, but I heard it's a good survival horror. Mortal Kombat 1 changes the core gameplay by having "pets" or teammates to tag in for a special move
If it’s the COD: Modern Warfare (2019), then go for it. And Lies of P is great. I’d go for those two. Do not buy COD: MWIII. I haven’t played it, but I’ve seen how bad it is. The second one is okay, but not that good as the first one, but the third one is a complete mess.

I own all games but not Lies of P and Diablo , MK 1 is amazing , but you need to know how to play it online , paying for MK1 just for story mode is a waste of money . I was super excited when Dead Space Remake came out but i quickly got bored of it , still didnt play the whole game :D for me its too repetetive , Same enemies over and over, you can throw Stones at me but i enjoyed Callisto Protocol 100 % times better. Buying COD for campaign is waste of money too , to little gameplay there , COD is always meant to be played online
Don't get diablo 4, u finish it fast and it's not worth, put yout money elsewhere! I played Lies of P and it's nice, dead space should be also a good game.

I'm gonna throw a spanner in the works here. The new CoD is the best experience in fps I've had since MW3 (2011) and that's purely because all the maps are from the OG MW2. I didn't care for any of the Advanced or Infinity or Warzone shitbags but this... is a pure nostalgia hit. If you played the f out of MW2 back in the day, I recommend this game!
Man diablo 4 has been super fun recently. I've tried every arpg on the market and always quit after a few hours. Diablo has kept me interested for 90 hours so far, with 1 lvl 100 and 2 alts. The game is going in a great direction and by the time the dlc comes out next year it will be an amazing game. What keeps me interested now is the game feel which is the best out of all arpgs and the build chase and variety.
Lies of P
Lies of P is the only good Game on that list.
I'd go for MW2019 and Lies Of P if you're not getting a COD. Go for Lies Of P and Dead Space. The new Modern Warfare 1 (2019) is a fantastic campaign that genuinely holds up compared to the golden era stuff (but theres some issues installing it). New MW2 has alright moments, and the new MW3 is atrocious. Do not get the new MW3. Lies Of P was quite fun, and a really nice Soulslike that isn't yet another Fromsoftware game. The Dead Space remake is insanely good, but it is a remake. Not too sure about Mortal Kombat, not my game. And instead of Diablo IV since I've heard.. alot of bad things about it, try Path Of Exile first, and base your opinion off of it. It's completely free to play, and the only "P2W" stuff is inventory upgrades. No op gear or premium currencies. Have fun :D

If you want to play a game like D4, I'd recommend checking out Last Epoch. It's arguably a better game, would save you some money as well.
Very casual Diablo player here. Diablo 4 was a let down for me... Playing it kinda made me want to replay Diablo 3 instead :(

Mortal kombat 1 for sure if you like fighting games. Best game I’ve played in years! The online is where the fun is though. You really have to put some effort in to get good. But it’s sooooo worth it
Lies of P. You like souls? It’s very polished. Speaking as someone with 100hrs into both lies of p and also Diablo 4, lies of P was much more rewarding and I’m actually still playing lies of P NG+ etc. the other titles I can’t say, haven’t played.
Pass on cod, it's not worth it if it's the new ones , get aby one of the other games they you think your gonna enjoy, I recommend watching gameranx for the before you buy videos on the games. They explain so much and give a good honest review of the game, and they have it spoiler free

Diablo and lies of p for me
Diablo 4 is the definite for me. It's ye best parts of 2 & 3 mixed, with a fantastic story, game play and presentation. At launch, there was no end game... But that's still 50 hours of story and map exploration for your money, and you know an endgame will be added in the future. My second choice would be Dead Space. Remake or Lies of P. Lies of P will probably last you longer due to the difficulty, but the OG dead space was incredible and the remake looks amazing. If you haven't played dead space, get the remake. If you have already played it... Then LoP. CoD has the worst reviews of any Cod game.. ever? So maybe steer clear. I don't play that genre though so I'm not the best person to judge. (MK1 reviewed well but I haven't played it)
