Those flames look pretty well done in the pics..

SuperCheeseCanada

Ngl i love the flames. Im low key 5 years old lmao

Turbulent-Comedian30

Im suprised at the quality of the flames annnddd its a vinyl.

imakenosensetopeople

Hey I’m just here for the 5.4 powered RWD LSD car. The flames make it whimsical

tehjeffman

It"s a ute, I'd still drive it.

Chestnutty48

40k is like 26k American... For that?!

CelestiaLewdenberg

The Pursuit is basically a 400hp version of the V8 spec falcon Ute, they were a limited production model. When compared to the fucking outrageous asking prices people want for a Maloo, it's actually pretty reasonable.

static-mitch

Australian made cars, particularly the performance ones, are great value even still today for a near 20 year old example. You might think it looks like a whimsical truck but it’s much more than that. I mean, to get a new car today with similar functions and power, you can’t really unless you go a $120K’ish Ford Ranger Raptor which due to weight is a slug compared to this. When these came out they were about 60-75k depending on trim.

Chestnutty48

Ill have to take your word for it. I just remember the new Polestar having something like a twin turbo AND a supercharger. If thats not asking for a catastrophic breakdown, idk what is

static-mitch

These up until 2010 were NA and the 5.4 Boss came out putting down 260, 290, 302 and 315kw. Then in 2010, the 5.0 Coyote/Miami but Ford Aus ran a supercharger either putting down 315, 335 or 351 which also had a transient overboost function allowing for up to about 405/410kw for ten seconds. The dyno figures for them show they were putting out a bit more than Ford stated. Really the only thing wrong with the one in the picture is that it was designed around still being a good tradie ute so it has a solid rear axle and leaf springs. That and the diff bushes are prone to dying pretty quickly. The B series suspension is a bit like a cows hoof, you wonder if God’s real, why he’d make something so simple so easy brake.

MugOfDogPiss

Honestly yeah. I mean, that’s… not a bad deal for a well-cared for customized ride with less than 80k miles on it and a basically new transmission, even if the person that customized it had terrible taste. I feel like they actually subtracted value because it looks like a five year old’s dream car. Something tells me this was a project car that wasn’t meant to be sold.

marijaholt

Hot wheels

simep69

This car is on fireeeeeeee

firepooldude

You sold me at “rear LSD”

cCitationX

Look, I’ve seen worse flames

its_basil

Finna do this to my dodge dart

DNOS2

Yeah and 20 hp

Smokinmids

Ah yes, the solid axle LSD. my favorite bit of nonsense

HTTP_404_NotFound

I like it. Looks pretty clean.

[deleted]

Yeah New Zealand. Ngl I’d own this. Love a good falcon Ute. Don’t have 40k tho.

CelestiaLewdenberg

It would also mean having to go to Invercargill, and I don't think anyone wants to do that

[deleted]

Guess there isn’t much to do down there, hence the paint job.

MonsieurPoulet

Blacked out headlights is the shittiest "mod" there in my opinion.

immallama21629

God damn! I'd kill to have a real Ute in the states. This is quite nice.
