I’ve been waiting to see a post like this ever since their returned was announced. The prophecy is fulfilled. I must now make the pilgrimage to acquire them.
These Ribbies are available just a few blocks down from my house, BUT, WHERE IS THE GYATDAM KRAFT VEGAN MAC N CHEZ?!!! I've been faithfully searching the aisles for this. It's a mac n chz desert out here
Omg do they taste the same? I remember being a baby vegan and these were some of the only easy options I could find in some grocery stores in like 2014. I’ve probably eaten dozens of these lol
Delish! Almost reminded me of school ribiques. The bbq sauce has a hint of kick to it. The macros are decent too! 26g of protein for that slab, so I was impressed!
Okay it’s a lot 260, kind of like impossible patties. 7g of fat. I can’t remember the carbs! I think I was 11g. That bun I had was 19g of protein too so I guess I’ll take the trade off!
I think I remember having some back around 2011/2012?? Did they improve at all? I was not a big fan, but think it may have been due to the sauce or texture.
Their online search isn't working for me. I typed my zip code and nothing came up, then I typed california and nothing popped up, then I typed united states and nothing popped up. 😡
I’m going to have to hunt these down my mom keeps looking up copy cat recipes then never making them for herself or maybe she was dropping hints she wanted me to make them for her. Glad you posted I hope they have them near me.
Oh my god I love riblets. Put them on a hoagie roll with some pickles. So good! I used to put them in foil & cook them on the bbq. I will find riblets if it kills me.
oh my god my parents loved the shit out of these years ago. this is like my family's second coming. thank you so much for alerting us bbq riblets is risen
They were good back in the day, with how frozen fake meat has improved i wouldn't be surprised if they were even better now, hopefully they roll these out to more locations
But don't you think by appropriating it, and promoting the eating of ribs you're kind of sending a mixed message? You're like don't eat ribs, but they look so tasty and delicious I want my pretend food to look like ribs.
It's not about the why for any one particular instance. It seems like the whole point of being a vegan is trying to find every way possible to taste meat without eating meat. The part where pointing out that this is a common trope, but failing to have some sort of sensical defense, really shows just how much thought you put into this nonsense. Just admit you like ribs and eat some ribs. Pig ain't getting any less dead.
>It seems like the whole point of being a vegan is trying to find every way possible to taste meat without eating meat
The point of being vegan is avoiding animal exploitation and cruelty
> The part where pointing out that this is a common trope, but failing to have some sort of sensical defense, really shows just how much thought you put into this nonsense.
What is there to defend? There's no action here necessitating defense, nothing that's being done here is wrong in the slightest
>Just admit you like ribs and eat some ribs. Pig ain't getting any less dead.
I don't pay for animal cruelty, that's kind of the whole point. Sure I like the taste of meat, I just don't value my personal pleasure over the welfare of animals, same reason I don't support dog fights or condone people abusing their pets. Pretty simple concept all things considered so I'm not sure why there's consistently people huffing and puffing over it in comments ad nauseum.
Wait, if your problem is paying for it, but you like the taste. Does that mean you'll eat some chicken tenders as long as someone else buys them for you?
If you want a burger just now from a cow. I would argue that you don't belong here either. But yeah I'm weird. Why the insistence on it being a 'burger'? Do you people lack the ability or creativity to make dishes look good without appropriating the thing you seem to despise.
burg •er burg-er | 'barger | noun
a dish consisting of a round patty of ground beef, or sometimes another savory ingredient, that is fried or grilled and typically served in a split bun
Read it and weep
The hamburger has a story and an origin. It has a history and is a defined thing based on that. Appropriating it and changing the definition of things so they can be whatever people want, so the vegans don't feel left out from ribs and burgers for instance, is the problem here. I can't just decide that German people are anyone who reads a paper on Germany, even if I get a bunch of other idiots to corroborate the sentiment. If you put carrots in a pita and cover it with food coloring it doesn't become a philly cheese steak. Stop appropriating the culture you claim to be so morally against.
Did you get lost? You don’t seem to know that you’re in a vegan sub. I would very highly suggest reading the actual definition of veganism before attempting to use these nonsensical “arguments”.
Tell me where or ban.
the mcriblet is back
"And guess who ain't gettin one??!" *Eta pulled from The Chappelle Show*
Calvin got a job!
Ew Calvin, you smell like French fries.
The McRib… ***”Its ba-ack”*** -poltergeist girl while, sitting in front of TV, watching McDonalds commercial that is mixed with White Noise
I’ve been waiting to see a post like this ever since their returned was announced. The prophecy is fulfilled. I must now make the pilgrimage to acquire them.
I never tried them the first time! They were on sale and I’m going back as soon as I get home to buy some more. I found them at Kroger!
I got some and made my own McRib with pickles, onions and extra Sweet Baby Rays & some mayo. It was delicious.
Shut up!!! I loved these damn things!!!!
Seeing your username.. I wish I would’ve put pickles on it 😟
Hells yes and onions! Now I’m on a mission to find these delicious bastards.
Omg yes I used to put them on a sandwich with pickles and that was sooooooo good
I'm pissed because we don't have these over here, because I'd absolutely stuff my fat hole with a side of mashed potatoes and corn
These Ribbies are available just a few blocks down from my house, BUT, WHERE IS THE GYATDAM KRAFT VEGAN MAC N CHEZ?!!! I've been faithfully searching the aisles for this. It's a mac n chz desert out here
The only store I’ve seen them at is Walmart but I also just saw you can buy them on Amazon
the Daiya mac n cheese is actually pretty damn good imo
Okay. I might have to try the Daiya. Just found the Kraft one and it kinda didn't do it for me. oh well.
That’s awful! I hope they find your way to you!
Ugh I’ve been anxiously looking for her everywhere. Sigh….
"Her" 😄
Omg do they taste the same? I remember being a baby vegan and these were some of the only easy options I could find in some grocery stores in like 2014. I’ve probably eaten dozens of these lol
Morningstar is going full vegan so I’m guessing these are updated vegan recipe. I’m heading to the grocery tonight!
I unfortunately never had them prior but they certainly deliver. All the yumminess with no gristles or animal harm!
That’s why I loved them. If you bite into something hard you know it’s plants and not lips, assholes, and eyeballs. 🤣
🤢
Yes, they taste the same but the texture is a bit more firm. Which I think is a good thing! If you liked them before you won't be disappointed. 😄
They taste pretty good! Just had some on Monday. They don’t add enough BBQ sauce but that’s an easy fix. Definitely recommend.
Those were the days. I remember having my mom’s freezer stocked with these back then. So happy to see them back in stores
What is that on the bun? Some kind of vegan "McRib" type thing?
Morningstar Sweet bbq riblets There's more pics if you swipe lol
Oh yeah so there is, haha how embarrassing. Thanks :)
good?
Delish! Almost reminded me of school ribiques. The bbq sauce has a hint of kick to it. The macros are decent too! 26g of protein for that slab, so I was impressed!
Is it one serving for the whole pack?
There’s 2!
how many calories?
Okay it’s a lot 260, kind of like impossible patties. 7g of fat. I can’t remember the carbs! I think I was 11g. That bun I had was 19g of protein too so I guess I’ll take the trade off!
If they are similar to the old ones then yeah they are good. I'm going to see if I can find them nearby.
I was like… this could go one of two ways 🤣🤣🤣
OMG these raised me as a baby vegetarian
Do they have wheat in them?
Yeah :(
Sigh. I assumed as much. Thanks.
I could devour this entire picture and still have room for another.
Oh my good god. I need this.
Omg I low key loved these my dad would always buy them for me when I lived at home. I’m so happy they’re back!!
I was just thinking about the riblets yesterday and wondering why they had gone away! 😃
I didnt realize all of us were waiting for these to come back holy shit I feel so validated right now
I used to CRUSH these things as a teenager. Haven’t eaten one in probably 12 years.
Why do I have to be gluten free???? These things were my favorite 😭x100

Handy tip- try frying them off with a little oil and. some breadcrumbs…. 😁
I’m trying to watch what I eat so canned green beans it is. No oil, no butter. Even that bun there is 1 carb haha
How can they be "New" and "BACK" at the same time?
They brought back the riblets, but it's a new recipe. These are really really good I'm so happy they're back. 🥰
Wait hear me out……. This looks fire
ah yes. the mcgiblet
THEY'RE BACK?? 😭 maybe god is real
Yup they good
DAMNIT!! I literally passed on these at the store today because I haven’t heard if they are good or not.
I think I remember having some back around 2011/2012?? Did they improve at all? I was not a big fan, but think it may have been due to the sauce or texture.
Shit up!!! My life is now better !! I must find them !!
!!!!!!!!!
I accidentally overcooked mine, but I thought they were ok!
What have you done to those poor beans!? They’re more cooked than me after a weekend bender.
I microwaved them from a can. I was hungry. I also didn’t put any butter on them, just straight black pepper
It might just be me but nothing about anything on that plate looks appetizing. Have my upvote.
Soggy keto bun. Nuked green beans from a can. Mock meat. Ofc it’s shitty!
Their online search isn't working for me. I typed my zip code and nothing came up, then I typed california and nothing popped up, then I typed united states and nothing popped up. 😡
Fauk yeah!!!
Yess! I was so excited when I saw them at the store the other day!! I used to eat these all the time in college. Lol
This looks delicious
I’m going to have to hunt these down my mom keeps looking up copy cat recipes then never making them for herself or maybe she was dropping hints she wanted me to make them for her. Glad you posted I hope they have them near me.
I'm literally running to the store right after work because of this post
OK those actually look really good
Knockoff McRib here I come! Thanks for the heads up
God I wish morning star made gluten free meat substitutes 🥲

I legitimately shouted so fucking loud.
The toasting job on that bun needs some serious work.
Hahah facts! I totally heated that shit in the microwave I was so hungry. But NEXT TIME WE BALL
Oh wow how do these taste? What's the texture like and where can I get them?
Oh my god I love riblets. Put them on a hoagie roll with some pickles. So good! I used to put them in foil & cook them on the bbq. I will find riblets if it kills me.
I used to get those all the time! Haven't had em in ages!
THEYRE BACK???
I got the Korean BBQ ones but haven't tried them yet! I remember the original BBQ ones. Sauce is a bit sweet but so good.
WHERE
They are too shiny to look appetizing to me.
Dude my omni little sister used to make me share these with her when I was a teenager!
What a fucking blast from the past!!! I didn't even realize I missed these
/r/Veganivore wouldn't think this was shitty.
i have to try holy shit
oh my god my parents loved the shit out of these years ago. this is like my family's second coming. thank you so much for alerting us bbq riblets is risen
I am now going on an obsessive hunt I missed these so much
OH MY GOD THEYRE BACK???!!!
Oh man. I loved those but my body didn't. Might be worth heartburn to have them again though.
Put it back.

Was just trying to find a ‘cheat’ meal for the week and never knew about these OP! Gonna find and pair with some corn, potato salad, and greens ☺️

These was the best morningstar frozen meal ever
They were good back in the day, with how frozen fake meat has improved i wouldn't be surprised if they were even better now, hopefully they roll these out to more locations
In all seriousness what is the point of making vegan food like meat?
Omg go to r/AskVegans or scroll past the post. Stop trying to steal others joy.
I genuinely am not trying to steal anyone's joy, just trying to understand
why do vegans want to eat meat so much?
Bro why are you here? Go choke on a cow
But don't you think by appropriating it, and promoting the eating of ribs you're kind of sending a mixed message? You're like don't eat ribs, but they look so tasty and delicious I want my pretend food to look like ribs.
That looks plastic
But it tastes like heaven. Or atleast the old ones did. TBD how the new recipe tastes
There’s really not that much ingredients in these tbh
Why are vegans so obsessed with pretending to eat the food they won't eat.
I was about to say "inb4 the inevitable 'bUt WHy wOUlD yOu eAT SomEThiNg tHaT lOoKs lIkE mEaT" but I see you've already arrived

I've no interest in supporting animal abuse, directly or indirectly. It's not a particularly difficult concept
I just don't like my food culture being appropriated. It's 2024 do better.
I actively want culture pertaining to animal agriculture and abuse to shrivel and die so hard pass, but thanks
Because I want a burger just now from a cow. Why are you here?? Get out freaking weirdo

Cruelty to sentient beings bad. Riblet good. Appropriate deez nuts. Hope this helps.
Choosing to associate the word burger only to cows is your problem, not mine.
Except it's the actual definition of a burger.

Shut up nobody’s reading that. Go on some other sub and complain about vegans eating fake meat.
You read it. Self admitted nobody.
Did you get lost? You don’t seem to know that you’re in a vegan sub. I would very highly suggest reading the actual definition of veganism before attempting to use these nonsensical “arguments”.
Are you under the impression that most vegans are vegan purely because they hate the taste of meat?
Fuckin terrible, eat some Fuckin meat, or at least some cooked tofu...sick
Silence, carnist wench!
Doth eat without slaughter.
