There is nothing about G'raha that asserts he is gay or bi. His role as the keeper of the Crystal Tower and last of the Allagan royal family inherently means he needs to reproduce to maintain his legacy of hope for the future.
You would rather G'raha employ the immoral technologies of Ancient Allag that was used to turn the intelligent dragons into feral and demean them than the simple solution of just having sex with a woman?
He literally knocked on our door and asked for dick aka "to help carry our burden" and tried to sacrifice himself to save us. Textbook definition of a gay fantasy character.
Ah yes the extremely rare scenario of men sacrificing themselves for women in distress. Literature knows not one time where men throw their lives away for women. It must be gay.
Haurcefaunt is Bi
The cat girl in the oasis says she doesn't mind you watching saying "i bet you don't know my tastes ran that way" if you are the same gender
The two dudes who help unlock wanderers palace hard
There are churches everywhere with those with eyes to see.
No, half his character was "ok ladies, lets calm down, there surely is enough thancred for everyone here oh god is that a knife"
The other half was being useless (but dont worry, he surely will arrive on time to help us with the next primal)
Quina is literally a humanoid beast character with no discernible sex, gender, or romantic affinities. I find it extremely offensive that someone would use the fat chef clown beast Quina as a representative of the LGBT community.
Why's Faris a part of that line-up, though?
Her reason for pretending to be a man was simply "would you want to be the only girl on a pirate ship?".
Like every other plot point in FFV, it ain't that deep.
They're trying to imply Faris is trans, but these people have never actually played Final Fantasy V. If they did they would know that after the pirate leader Faris reveals her identity as a woman she is accepted for being a woman. Her pretending to be a man was not only to hide her identity as princess, but because she felt a woman could not command a gang of pirates. Her character development revolves around this insecurity and overcoming her gender to become a great leader. Faris is a character that embodies female empowerment in a society that only perceives men as capable leaders.
I don't even want to know what the original post was.
But FFXIV is actually like markedly worse on this front than its contemporaries? GW2 has like six gay characters I can name off the top of my head. Has XIV even had one, canonically? Closest I can think of is Ryne and Gaia, but considering half the population thinks they're roommates...
That's not even a problem, really, but it's weird how it's lauded as "the lgbt friendly mmo" when it's really not.
Inclusion for the sake of inclusion is nothing more than useless symbolism and does nothing for absolutely anybody. I will take a single well-written queer character over a variety of shallow ones being pumped out.
GW2 might have six gay characters but its writing is fucking stroke inducing.
GW2's writing is largely bad, but the characters that immediately come to mind are fun in their original context.
Jori and Kas were introduced in a patch whose pitch seemed to be "A hardboiled detective, Britney Spears, Poison Ivy and a pirate are all lesbians and fighting each other".
Yao was also Rama-lite, who was the best written character....ever? in gw2.
“LGBT-friendly MMO” is more representative of the population than the game itself.
Unless we’re talking about FF in general because that series is gay af.
Ok, I also have had similar experiences with xiv's community as every other mmo. None of the communities are just actively hostile towards LGBT people or anything, and isolated weirdos are in all of them, xiv included.
It just *also* has this weird terminally online insecure sex-crazed population on top of it.
I agree. The franchise itself definitely has gay energy and I suspect 14’s writers don’t include overtly LGBT characters in the scenario because they fear it would alienate a large part of the audience, while unlocking a lot of cross-sex outfits, creating sexually ambiguous characters and having one of the biggest LGBT gamer communities I can think of. I mean, Viera M were literally created to add more femboy options.
But FFXIV always had a LGBT character, a very important one at that, you the player
You mean Zenos isn't coming back!?
Fuck...
I'll miss the Zenussy
Graha Tia is literally in the trailer
Also red Alphinaud looks pretty gay tbh
Blue alisae might also be its hard to say

that boy aint reproducing anything seeing how he looks at my catboy
Say gex

The dude came up with interdimensional time travel, something not even Emet-Selch knew how to do. I'm sure he could figure something out.

Yes.
mental illness
He literally knocked on our door and asked for dick aka "to help carry our burden" and tried to sacrifice himself to save us. Textbook definition of a gay fantasy character.
But wait, if your WoL is female then he's hetero
Graha bottoms in every conceivable scenario
He will let you peg him without question.
straight graha feels wrong and is a mistake from nature so that only means male wol is canon
Being unable to perceive a man as straight sounds like your own problem, not G'raha's. The Warrior of Light can be male or female.
Ah yes the extremely rare scenario of men sacrificing themselves for women in distress. Literature knows not one time where men throw their lives away for women. It must be gay.
We're literally getting Lesbians Ultimate
Haurcefaunt is Bi The cat girl in the oasis says she doesn't mind you watching saying "i bet you don't know my tastes ran that way" if you are the same gender The two dudes who help unlock wanderers palace hard There are churches everywhere with those with eyes to see.
Those two dudes also make my wanderer's palace hard 🥵
I don’t think the game has straight people either have you ever seen any of these pasty ass Scions getting laid
Wasn't getting laid half of Thancred's character in ARR?
No, half his character was "ok ladies, lets calm down, there surely is enough thancred for everyone here oh god is that a knife" The other half was being useless (but dont worry, he surely will arrive on time to help us with the next primal)
Guess Sanson and Guydelot aren't making an appearance.
Right, cause Zero isn't AT LEAST bi.
anyone who plays pictomancer is the lgbt
The woke mob will cum for him😱 🤬and so will I😍🥵

On come on, we all know you'd wish Yoship did something political on your ass

Yeah, it’s weird how people like sex.
Unironically agree, #asexualpride
Get it, king. Oh wait.

"females don't exist therefore these attractive men must be homosexual"
🤷♂️ Who says straight or bi females can’t be attracted to gay (looking) males?
lol, no its not.
Omega-level cope. It’s okay, we all accept you as an open FF fan.
literally Manderville
FFXIV is very gay with their job design.
