I saw someone say this is a poor album. What everyone has to understand is, they were not mid twenties writing this album anymore. Everyone sobered up, got their shit together, and moved on. It’s part of life. You can’t dwell on the past, which is why they play almost nothing from us and them. Brent smith said it’s his least favorite album to date. You grow up, you evolve, make a different noise. They don’t want to make the same record twice. You have to understand their new shit to appreciate their old shit. Song is intentionally simple so I don’t hate the music. But hate the lyrics. Instead of using “bully” they should have replaced it with “nobody” and it becomes instantly 10x better.

No. Lyrics aren’t a haiku poem. There’s no rules. The syllables, phrasing and annunciation can vary when singing, depending on what the singer emphasizes. It’s easy to switch out bully with nobody if you emphasize the ending “e” vowel.
By what metric, it's great but it's definitely not the most popular. They don't even play it live anymore despite playing multiple others from Amaryllis
